Felt like this place was really good on paper, but in reality the bartenders seemed a bit inexperienced and understaffed. Completely ignored my party.

this bar is so good. The vibe, the drinks are just incredibly well prepared. It’s exotic and chick. Very unique and creative.

One of the only whisky bars in Berlin, The Saphire Bar – deliberately spelt with just one ‘p’ in case you were wondering – has gained plenty of notoriety since opening in 2003. The list of whiskies runs from some real rarities to some unexpected gems. If you’re not a fan of ‘water of life’, don’t worry, as the imposingly large cocktail menu features old-school classics, house specialities and even smoothies. In fact the eight-metre long bar holds up to 400 premium spirits, so making your mind up is just about the only issue. The interior is divided into two elegant, Zebrano-walled, cream-coloured lounges, peppered with cozy leather banquettes. The stylish ambience sheds any stuffy whisky pretensions, and the vast selection of cocktails available may explain why Saphire can get particularly hectic later in the evening.rn

Only one bathroom for ladies and gentlemen which is not good. But Drinks are great!

It is a non-smoking bar, which deserves a five star already, besides that the staff is super nice, style is very modern, the cocktail list is huge and all that we tried was delicious, prices are high tho.

Booked this place for my brothers birthday. Everyone here in the reviews keep raving about how friendly the staff is,however from the get go were treated disrespectfully. They have complicated the whole Luca app thing ,and when we tried to scan the QR code on the wall ,the guy made us exit it and then he himself scanned it.-_- The employee , “lovely” gentlemen in glasses did not give us the plates by saying that the kitchen was closed,but offered a knife. So we could not eat my brothers birthday cake. Not everyone in our group speaks German,and these people are my mom and sister who do not speak German or live here .When I asked him some questions about the drinks, he said that he does not speak English There were no menus in English ,and if there were we were not offered to have one . I do not understand how a cocktail bar employee can not speak English. I understand that we are in Germany , but what about tourists? And moreover making us feel bad about it. Because his whole attitude was like “I do not speak English,not my problem.” Another thing that amazed me ,was that this guy was a barmen , waiter and welcome guy. My mom wanted to leave ,but I told her that there is no reason to stress ourselves.After all there is such a thing as a google review. P.S. Apparently When you come to this place and want to get a proper service please make that you have your vaccination certificate or PCR test and most importantly C1 or C2 level German Certificate. Maybe more pricey than average, but the drinks more than make up for it. They are strong, well made, and very tasty.Atmosphere is cozy, yet stylish. The bartenders are attentive and friendly.My favorite bar in Prenzlauer Berg by far!

Best Cocktailbar I’ve ever been. If you like fresh handmade cocktails and you visit Berlin, this cocktailbar is definitely the way to go. The blond girl behind the counter is such a lovely person! She likes doing her job and she tries to make the cocktails as much as personal as possible. The lounge is very nice and you can sit comfortable and enjoy your cocktail! Exceptional quality cocktails

Nice bar, good atmosphere, friendly staff, strong drinks. Felt a bit pricey but they are actually quite large for cocktails, dont plan on having too many!

Good cocktails, but not good enough to justify the prices:We payed 27 euros for a gin tonic and a Negroni

I had a very lovely experience with Baron. (HahaYou guys should try it! Great ambience, sets the mood, would recommend it to friends going in a group or spending a lovely night with a partner.

Sooo many delicious drinks to choose from! And best of all, the bar is non-smoking.

One of the best cocktail bars Ive been to with a luxurious touch that is quite rare for Berlin. The selection is overwhelming but the waiter is always happy to suggest you a drink fitting your mood and taste. You can easily spend dozens of evenings the beige leather couches and try everything on the menu.

By far the best bar in Berlin! Ingredients are all top quality, service is always outstanding (theyll always talk to you about what you like and dont like, then either make a great recommendation or make you a custom drink, even when the place is full on a Saturday night), and the menu is poetry. Outside is great in the summer, inside is atmospheric. Been going there for almost two years and have never been disappointed!

Bit too pricy but nice atmosphere

Very good cocktails and some of them are really unusual. Sport TV translation during the summer. But they used to close earlier than in schedule even you are still there. The reason is "No guests anymore" (so, you are dont evaluated like an actual guest).

My experience at the saphire bar was great. The cocktails served where very good and the service was very nice. Smoking is allowed in this bar. I can only recommend it, even though it is rather expensive
