Its really nice this place. I went in the end of the day, near 17h that is the time they close. Its amazing to see the sunset there. You need to pay to enter and its a really small fee. You can find explanations about the place in spanish and english. To walk around, I mean outside, its good to do this in the morning. This way you can have differents points of view and take amazing pictures. Its also good the sensation of being there and admire the nature.

Good place to visit overall, but the entrance fee is not compensated by any particular piece of history, as the castle was probably undergoing some sort of restoration by the time of my visit. It has some nice views as well, but nothing you cannot achieve elsewhere on the island.

Beautiful place, very nice ocean views, its a little bit difficult to arrive (very narrow road in a hill). Its completely worth a visit.

A very interesting example of European Colonial architecture. Well worth a visit. Only drawback is lack of accessibility. Lots of steep and sometimes slippery slopes to negotiate. For reasonably mobile persons, a worthwhile half day.

You really should visit this park when in Florianopolis. It is very well preserved with very good signage.It also has some of the best views on the island.

First of all, entrance to the fortress costs R$8. Once you go inside, youll see different signs explaining the fortress story and how it was used (unfortunately, everything is in PortugueseAnother thing to consider, its that you have to walk a bit to reach the fortress. Nonetheless, everything worth it. Beyond its historical significance, the fortress offers a breath-taking view!
