2a Avenida N.E, Managua 11001, Nicaragua, Jinotepe
Neoclassical cathedral designed by a Belgian architect in 1920 & damaged in a 1972 earthquake.
Amazing building. I just wish that they’d repair this building. It was sad to see it in such a state of disrepair from the earthquake.
Beautiful design, it is incredibly deteriorated
This is a beautifully designed cathedral. Apart from being very old, it has a great architecture. Also, this building is surrounded by other nice like the National Palace.
Beautiful place for selfies
Really nice place, nice weather. Here you can take a look at the history of the country...
Una gran belleza arquitectónica. Excelente lugar para pasear y tomarse fotos.
Historic and stately.
This old building needs to be restored
Super
Its OK to look at from the outside but it is very damaged and you cant go inside. I believe they have not fixed it since it was damaged in the earthquake in the early seventies. I wish they would fix it up and make it look really nice so tourists can see the beauty of the old cathedral in downtown Managua
Nice place it has some misterious thing
It isnt working at all so its taking up too much terrain where could be located something more useful.
Very good place nice people good atmosphere
Really amazing, this a really precious jewel of the country.
Excellent places with a great panoramic view.
Only really checked it out from the outside but its a very impressive building that apparently was partially destroyed by an earthquake.
Great place to learn about the history of Managua.
Amazing park with this Catedral aquí,you can go and hang out with the locals and find whatever it is youre looking for.

Beautiful
Beautiful place at night, very impressive.
I got to take beautiful pictures from the outside.
Bellisimo
I used to go in there when I was a kid all alone, I sure miss it..
Old dilapidated church that has not been touched for decades. All restorations have been limited to the outside and surrounding area as church is now to weak from several earthquakes and shellings during the war. More of a symbol of Managua you can see rather than experience. You can only see a glimpse of the inside.
This is a strange, bizarre, broken down old church. I heard that it never got repaired after the earthquake many years ago, and one of the interesting things is that they repaved it so the stairs jut out of the pavement unevenly. They have security guards guarding it, so you cant just traipse in and walk around. Its great for awesome photos, though.
How eerie to see a huge cathedral like this looking like its about to fall apart. The clocks on top showing time from a generation ago. One touch and the whole thing looks like it could go kaboom. Yet it still stands.
Big old church that looks like it is about to fall apart anytime now. You cant go inside, but it is still worth the walk to see it
Its amazing, we must accept, anyway, that our Nicaragua is getting better every day...slowly...even when we have been far away. I mean, without us.
Me gustaaaa
As if it is not enough that the Cathedral has been abandonded by both socialist and libeal governments and may one day succumb to Mother Nature, it is currently surrounded by pro-government propaganda on its facade despite it beinga witness to some of Managuas most historical events-from revolution to earthquake, if only the walls could speak.
