Hotel Santa María is only 150 meters West of Ticabus Terminal, but it has nothing to do with the hazzle and anger around the Bus station. The Hotel has 12 rooms set amidst trees and plants. It is safe, quiet and clean. Clearly the best for only USD 15 for a single room with private bath, TV and fan. Doubles and a/c rooms are also available.I stayed one week and wanted to transfer me to Granada, but I stayed in Hotel Santa Maria two more weeks! it´s good for longer stays (discounts given). Don Ricardo and Miss Nubia give good advices and keep everything in shape. Also cheap laundry service. A Pali supermarket (8-20 hours dailyis only 2 blocks away, there are cheap pulperias around too.Best to reserve in advance by Email or Phone. Sorry that in 2014 the decent pool was closed, but who can expect a pool in that price range and neighborhood?? Note: No breakfast or coffee service. So only 4 stars. I will come back for sure!!!
