Santa Fe Cafe Bar & Restaurant - Restaurant in Darwin, Australia
Pretty bad. The service was all over the place. They asked us a ton of questions repeatedly. Still got our order wrong. We waited forever for the very subpar food. To top it all off it was pretty expensive too. Dont recommend at all.
As nice as the staff are Cant hide how expensive it is bought a platter not really that much rice or Chicken on it The hot wings look and taste week old
Lovely atmospheric little restaurant. Food was delicious, good value and the lady who served us was an absolute sweetheart
Amazing Mexican restaurant. Their nachos are to die for and the prawn, beef and chicken tacos are amazing. They have Taco Tuesdays in which all tacos are £2.75. Their mojitos are also great and the chipotle sauce they offer is also an amazing addition. The staff are lovely and welcoming. I definitely recommend coming here for an amazing Mexican food experience.
I love Mexican food and this place has better burritos than shops in Mexico. I tried the chicken one. Amazing food and we were really surprised. Great staff and good pricing.
Not a good represtation of Mexican cooking......restaurant not very clean .table sticky to start with .. poor service ..not attentive...heavy food and not so tasty..cooking really needs some thinking out ..if you like really good Mexican cooking..not really the place to go ..needing a bit of refurbishing too . Will not be back.. kind regards elise
Good food, friendly service. My salmon was very spicy, but it didnt say so on the menu, so that was a shame.
The restaurant is a 2 minute walk from Stratford station and a great change from the chains in Westfield. Great food and the nachos were lovely. Great ambience and cocktails. Service was slow, took some time to get our drinks and to get our bill.
Litterarly the best Mexican restaurant ever tested the food is really nice the must things to test are quesadillas and fajitas which are really nice. The staff were so nice with us we will come back !
We ate at this restaurant for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it was excellent! The food, the service and the setting was great! I recommend 1000%.The staff is so nice and helpful. The food is excellent especially: Quesadillas and Fajitas
Went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. No problem getting a table and the food was amazing. Really friendly service and great cocktails. The nachos were excellent. Would definitely go again.
A little taste of Mexico in our Capital. We were made to feel really welcome and the food was lovely and tasty. The portions are more than generous and it was all washed down with an ice cold Modello. The decor is straight out of a Mexican cantina with a beautiful mural of the iconic Frida Kahlo! Thanks for hosting us and we wish you all the very best.
Worst dining experience ever. Left after 55 mins as no sign of food or explanation for the delay. Customers who arrived after us got their orders before we did. Only restaurant I have ever walked out of.
Decor and ambience was good.Chicken wings were flavourful but not as meaty as one would hope.Quesadillas were quite good - tasty with good texture.Nachos portion was quite big. Overall, good first experience.
Was a bit disappointing overall, ordered a frozen daiquiri but it was just juice with ice cubes when it’s supposed to be blended. I mentioned this to the server but then they just added more ice to it? My main was Chimichangas which are always supposed to be hard shell/fried but these where soft which isn’t what a chimichanga is. Instead of being served with sour cream it was some sort of yoghurt, didn’t taste Mexican at all, I’m not sure if they’re just trying to put their own twist on it. Also we where stood for a while before we got seated despite not being very busy midweek.
The waitress is nice although the food not so. The meat in the burger was dry, it seemed it had pre cooked much ealrier. No juice at all. I wasnt even asked how I wanted it cooked
First time in a Mexican restaurant and really enjoyed the food and service.
Came here for lunch and will not be coming again. Ordered a steak taco for £6.95 and the portion size was very small. Not a filling or satisfying lunch. The steak was very tough, and the crispy shell were shop bought. A colleague ordered the gambas al ajipostle for £7.15 and it was just 4 prawns…and a milkshake that tasted sour…safe to say we won’t be coming again. Taco Bell in Stratford centre is way better.Only saving grace was the chips which were hot and crispy and the mango jarritos.
Located within walking distance of Stratford station. This little hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. When you walk through the door, the atmosphere reminds me of being in rural Mexico. The staff were very friendly and provided great service with a friendly smile. The menu was varied, and the food was impressively tasty. We didn’t have to wait long either. We went for the platillos, and we were impressed by the portion size. Three are more than enough for two people.Overall it’s a fantastic place if you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, which is good value for money and leave you wanting more.
Located near the station so easy to get to! Very tasty enchiladas and jalapeño poppers! Mocktails were tangy and delicious! Very reasonably priced!
By far one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in London. Ordered a bunch of food and nothing failed to impress us. Amazing service too!
Really nice halal Mexican diner. Good choice of food and drinks and everything here is halal, even the chorizo. Service wad great too. Had a great night with the family. Highly recommended.
Don’t go here! Cute interior but the food is terrible, it’s bland doesn’t actually if anything wasted £50 for 2 people, terrible
The lady serving was very nice, but after taking our order no one came back to check on anything at all. Food took over an hour to be delivered with no service while we were waiting. Once we finally got our food it was bland with no taste at all. Finally ran out of patience and took it to go. Ended up giving it to some homeless man to at least make some good of the night. Tia is the first one I have ever had such horrible service and food. I will not be going back. If the personality of the server could be applied to the service and quality of food, this place would be much better.
Lovely place, very nice and helpful staff, tasty food (served very quickly), I will definitely visit again to satisfy the Mexican itch!
My second visit to the Place. It’s a chill cool place to have dinner if you live nearby.
Very nice little place close to Stratford. I went with a few friends and the server was very accommodating. Food was great, nachos plate is pictured and it was a very large portion, easily enough for 3 people. I had the beef burrito, it was decent quality but I wouldnt order it again. It wasnt particularly flavourful and the salsa it came with was too tangy. Id visit again but try something else next time. Definitely worth a visit
Very generous size of nachos, layered with lots of toppings again very generous. Would definitely recommend and come back 👍🏽
Went here last night, always wanted to go but reviews were off putting.Staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was nice but no flavour at all. It was all pretty bland, but the desserts were really delicious.
Really good food fir Mexican food locally, once you step in you feel as if your in Mexico.Price is pretty average and not over priced like some of these chains. Even the cocktails are reasonably priced and so is everything else on the menu.Portions are quite large so order less ans order aa you goReally good quality of food.Definitely recommend as Ill.be going back
So I’m going to leave an honest review as someone who has been here a few times. It’s hard to rate this restaurant - the atmosphere and service is always great, but the food is VERY hit and miss.Sometimes the food is really bland, and other times it is fantastic with great flavour. Worth visiting if you like Mexican food, but it’s always a risk coming here.
I ordered a sharing platter but the food was pretty average. There was no flavour, wings tasted like they were microwaved. The beef had at least 80% fat which isnt ideal at all and the prawns tasted as if they were cooked a few days before. All in all, the quality of food was poor however the service and staff were exceptional.
It was okay. The food and drinks were pretty average and not full of flavour as you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant. So, unfortunately, I will not be coming here again. What myself and my boyfriend also couldn’t work out is why the restaurant doesn’t remotely smell of food cooking either…
Came here with a friend thought might as well try it out since my family have been here before.Cleaning standards not an issue, excellent service. Food was great something different that you usually wont find.Got a chicken quesadilla, chicken burrito, spicy beef burger and drinks.Quesadillas was amazing lovely to eat. Burrito was so good and spicy burger was alright not bad.We got virgin mojito and strawberry daiquiri. Both lovely drinks.Fries was also good.Definitely will come back again was nice!
The food was okish but everything else really disappointing. The shop is quite dated with a strong smell of... Something dated. The staff is generally friendly, other than the manager who is also the bartender. I dont understand how she is still working there, rude, with no idea of hospitality and making cocktails without even tasting the alcohol. Our cocktails were margaritas that ended up being virgin afterall. Food as I said okish but desert, dont even think about it. Just what a 5 year old would do, not even the effort is evident. Id go with something else. Pics of deserts below
𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗮Located in Stratford, @mexicasa377 serves authentic halal Mexican cuisine. The extensive menu will leave you with something to taco about🤭We tried the following:𝗡𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 (𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀).𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗹 𝗔𝗷𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲 (𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽)𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮: 𝟲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮Upon entering, we received a very warm welcome from the waiter. We were seated promptly & I was instantly impressed by the menu. I asked for recommendations & opted for those dishes. The nachos were delicious & extremely filling. The portion size was huge, you could easily share this with a few people. I love wings and more often than not, if I spot it on a menu, I’ll order it. We chose the Chipotle bravo wings. They were tender & had a spicy kick. The delicious marinade will certainly make you want to lick your fingers as they were very flavoursome. The Quesadillas (3 in 1 portionwere loaded with beef, beans and lots of cheese. I absolutely loved these. They were well seasoned & the sauce complimented it well. Who doesn’t love a melty, cheesy quesadilla😋Whilst the Ternera en salsa (6 hour braised beefwas cooked well, I found the dish itself dry. If it came with some of the juices/gravy, this would have been a great dish. The garlic shrimp tacos were relatively small, I was expecting more filling as you had to take a few bites before getting to the filling. However, the prawns themselves were tasty. The Beef Enchildas were served with frijoles (black beansand Mexican rice topped with Tinga sauce. This was scrumptious, all the flavours worked very well.I loved the fact that their children’s menu had a varied option!Overall, we had a lovely evening & really enjoyed most of the dishes. If you’re looking for a casual, dining experience with a great ambience, it’s definitely worth checking out.#halalfood #mexicanfood
Love this place! Music on point! Great vibe. I went for the special Xmas burrito 🌯 partner had enchiladas beef! Meat sooooo good. Staff helped us with picking starters(nachos topped with pollo tinga)Just yes all round!
Nicely decorated and great art ideal for Instagram! Tasty tortillas and guacamole! Nice sweet potatoes and cheese tascos, two are actually very fulfilling and the lattes are good too. Great for groups
Great food, good portion sizes, cheap too.Worth the price. Rice was a bit dry though. Everything else tasted amazing.Halal Mexican food
Came here on Friday evening and totally disappointed! Food only came about 45 minutes wait! As you can see the photo, tacos was ok some meat was salty. My friend had the fish main and the rice and vege were soggy and didn’t taste good. The meat platter, everything didn’t really taste well, meat over cooked! The most disappointing part was the kitchen. It was so messy and wasn’t organised well at all! Definitely won’t recommend anyone to come here!
Called and booked table in advance for family dinner. Upon arrival Chin greeted us warmly gave us options to tables to sit at. Chin took our order of Nachos with seasonal veg starter to share, for mains vegan sweet potatoe feta cheese quesadilla, 1 beef steak 1 chicken fajita, child menu chicken burger and chips. The started nachos were very appetising and tasty but could do with more tomatoe salsa or relish. The quesadilla was tasty. The fajitas came on a skillet but was not sizzling. The streaks of beef steaks was chewy and smelt slightly gone off. Both fajitas meats were sat in allot of oil within skillets. The fajitas tortillas were warmed nicely served on top of meats. The fajitas came with side of good range of condaments including guacamole, sauce, chopped lettuce, grated cheese, chopped tomatoes. The children chicken burger chicken was nicely seasoned piece of breast. The chicken piece was half size of bun, bought this to the attention and Chin immediately corrected this by explaining smaller rolls ran out and bought another chicken piece in a bun. Sauces for chips were available on request. All food and drinks came timely in a light pleasant background music filled atmosphere. We ordered 1 choros and chocolate. The chocolate seemed good rich quality. The chorus though fried well was on smaller quantity side for the value for money.Overall Chin was awesome server, staff were warm, food and experience was enjoyable.
Food was yummy, service was good. Loved the guacamole! And the fries were yummy. The restaurant was a little cold and the chocolate with the churros would have tasted better if it was warm.
Really good experience at the restaurant. The staff are so knowledgeable about the dishes. The customer service is exceptional. Food quality is really good.
Lovely food and great atmosphere! We tried a few tacos and they were all delicious (shrimp tacos were a personal favouriteand the chicken burrito was tasty too. Only regret is not having room for more but we will be back for sure. The photos dont do the food justice! The restaurant was busy so service was slightly slow but the staff were very friendly.
Simply amazing!I planned a family 16th birthday celebration on Sunday 08/09/19 for 40 guests.Nadine and Sara were very open to my requirements and gave suggestions which made the day run smoothly. After a light nachos and mojito reception, half of the group attended an activity in Zap Space for one hour then returned to the festivities in Mexicasa. Both children and adults couldnt get enough of the delicious tacos- shrimp, chicken, vegetarian and beef.Thats not all! Their churros with warm chocolate dipping sauce are very indulgent and a real treat; chipotle and BBQ wings were tender and FULL of flavour.Thats the food...but let me tell you, their mojitos are the tastiest that I and my guests have ever tasted.Their restaurant space gives you a warm mexican welcome which continues into the private event room at the back. The newly redecorated private room is a great open space with cosy upholstered seating and the large window flood the room with natural daylight.Staff were very friendly and always at hand to offer help.We had a wonderful day.Perfect venue for any occasion!A BIG thank you to the whole team. ☺
This was a pleasant lunch, have been walking past this place for the past few months only had a chance to go in today. The venue is nicely decorated, the high ceilings, colours and art give it a nice homely feel. The dining chairs are a mix of armchairs and comfy chairs. The pleasant atmosphere made me feel like having a nap but was rudely kept awake by my colleague. I went for the lunch menu which was pulled beef burger with chips. The burger arrived in good time. It was presented nice and the portion was good. The burger tasted great, the meat was soft and tasty. The salad inside was lovely, the bun was also fresh and soft. Chips were fries covered in peri salt, they tasted nice. The only down part for me was the burger meat had cooled down from the salsa inside, this didnt take anything away from the great taste and atmosphere. The staff at the venue were also very nice. This will definitely need another visit.
My fajita was delicious, though a sizzle (as achieved by some restaurantswould have added an element of excitement to the meal. The rest of the meal was average, the chicken wings were a bit bland, lacking a bit of spice. The soup of the day (veg and noodletasted like canned soup. My companions tacos, burritos and flautus were equally uninspiring. I could not eat my Avocado chocolate mousse, tasted vile to me, was a substitute for the cheesecake which was not available on the day. The choc churros were a hit and a surprising delight was the Mexican soda, mango flavour. Overall the food could have been better and the service a bit quicker. Prices are quite good, the staff are friendly. The decor is nice and brings a Mexican feel though I imagine not as ott as the real thing. Halaal food but not halaal environment with alcohol being served. Overall great experience would recommend.
Weve visited a few times (we live across the roadand have been blown away every time. Its so clear how much love and attention goes into every aspect of Mexicasa. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious, the drinks are phenomenal. Theres no criticism I could give the place; even the decorations are awesome!!!Weve tried the chimichanga (vegetarian and pork), burrito (veggie and chicken), nopales (cactussalad, churros, nachos sharer, stuffed jalapeños, milkshake, pina colada, and margaritas. Everything has been fresh, flavoursome, and authentic. The presentation of the dishes is very nice too.Our favourite dish is the chimichanga; it isnt greasy at all, and it has a perfect balance of different ingredients inside of it. Shout out to the nopales salad too; its very refreshing, and perfectly filling! (Unlike a lot of other salads that leave you hungry 30 minutes later...). You will enjoy anything you order here, I guarantee it.You could even visit just for a drink; the cocktails are incredible (and Ive drunk a lot of cocktails! The balance of spirit to mixture is perfect; I dont enjoy cocktails that taste either too alcoholic or too watery, and the drinks at mexicasa are neither. Theyre dangerously delicious :DThe service deserves its own shout out. Every staff member weve interacted with has been warm and friendly. A particular highlight is one evening we went and ordered the stuffed jalapenos, only to be told that theyd sold out; we didnt mind, and ordered a different dish instead. At the end of the meal the waiter brought us complementary churros to apologise! It was entirely unexpected and I was really touched at the gesture, and the churros were super tasty! We already had a very positive opinion of Mexicasa, so that evening made our love for the place soar through the roof!Ive already said it, but Ill say it again: you will always have a good time here. London (and the rest of the UKneeds more places like Mexicana; amazing people doing an amazing job. :)
Very nice experience. It was close to the hotel which was convenient. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. the manager gave us free chips to have with the bean dip. Sangria was really good. Small menu I think they’re adding more stuff but overall great experience. Food did have a little too much spice but it’s fresh and delicious.
The restaurant itself looks great, food is really good, staff is very nice. They have special (cheaper :prices for lunch, but everything we tried was still great, and freshly made. Not a "high end" place, but definitively recommended, and will I go back and bring friends.
