You share a space with local people and some tourists, seeing what is left of the idea of a bright mind, a natural rights figure and a fighter for reserved nature spaces. The conservation of the Park could be better but I give a five in order to impulse improvement. Animals look healthy.

Diverse little city center zoo that has much to offer, especially if you wish to see different things than in Europe. Good for kids with a couple of playgrounds. You can even get diapers at the toilets. A great afternoon stroll with a hand ful of highlights such as sloths, jaguars, tocans... Recommended!

Large lush zoo with many interesting animals and birds with info boards in Spanish only. Its very pleasant and green with lots of shade and places to sit. A downside is that I felt many roaming animals should not be confined in such small spaces, eg, jaguars, small onças, foxes, some of whom were walking constantly around their confined space. Of course, this is an issue for all zoos worldwide.

Every major city has a zoo. This one isnt that large but they did have a significantly large exotic bird exhibit. My kids are crazy about birds so I thought Id take a look and share the pics with them. Its nothing to write home about but if you are in need of an activity while there its an excellent option.

its as noce as it could be in the big city that dont support Zoo. I m impressed of creativity of the workers to keep it running and still looks nice without the proper funds from local government.

Best tourist attraction in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It has more than 100 different species that can be found only here in Bolivia. Great guides throughout the zoo, and an overall amazing experience.

Zoos are never 100% happy places. Animals belong in their natural habitat. But, be that as it is, this zoo is fairly well cared for. With a nice variety of animals from the Bolivian countryside. And dont forget to look for one of the sloths. Theyre not in an exhibit, they just roam around the park... very sloooowly.
