Year-round family-focused Christmas attraction featuring Santa & his elves, shops & igloo hotel.
Pre jingle Bell visit🤭🤭Well if you want to get know reindeer.. You may came here. They are pretty and bigMr Santa is busy in the office with alot of letter send from all over the world
For the first time, I had the opportunity to visit Santa Claus home village, which I dreamed of once. It felt really great, not only did I get to visit his office, but at the Santa claus main post office , I can sent a postcard to my relatives & especially set foot on the boundary of the Arctic Circle. In the extreme, you can admire the legendary Roosevelt Cottage from 1950 and many other impressive places such as: Reindeer garden, garden of arctic Husky dogs, Snowman world .... (but unfortunately, these amusement parks are only available in winter 😂and the most regrettable thing is not being able to meet Santa Claus (probably because our group arrived a bit late, after 4pm)but thats a lot for our trip👍👍👍
Tourist tack. Loads a farther Christmas related shops and a knife shop????? We were looking for the Arctic circle. I guess the clue is in the name. but if you are on a similar journey Better off crossing the Arctic Circle on the Finnish side of the border with Sweden, by the river, much more low key. On a road trip to NorddKapp from Montgomery Wales
A magical place for people that love Christmas. There are a lot of activities to choose from as they’re filled with tour agencies that you can do snowmobile, riding huskies and a lot more. Would definitely recommend it to families and couples as this place is filled with love ❤️🎅🏼
A little bit of joy for a day :Highlight was the Husky Park. The guide was great and you could see the huskies loved her. Such beautiful and friendly dogs.
Comfy stay here. Lovely accommodation, very comfortable beds and pillows. Sauna was a bonus, even in summer. Open outdoor fire was usually going. Common area near the restaurant was very comfortable. Met 🎅. Very authentic! This would be even more magical in winter
Fun place for kids.Long travel from Helsinki though. If weather permits Husky and reindeer safaris are fun.Meeting Santa is super fun.
So happy to have been to Santa Claus village! It was snowy just like a movie scene.Make sure to have yourself a husky ride, those doggies were very loving and so beautiful.Xoxoxo 🎅
Wonderful place, you can send letters from Santa to your kids (or adultsfor some 10 Euros, that will be delivered in Decrmber.Make sure to click some pics next to the Aetic Circle line.
Amazing experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We even got to meet the Santa! 🥰
Best time to visit - Christmas 🎄. A day we’ll spent. Husky & reindeer ride was exciting. Night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi
Magical place, unique experience. The dreams come true there. 100% worth to visit. Only you must have your dinner before 17:00 because after this time everything is close.
Property is nice . Rooms are comfortable . The buffet breakfast wasnt that cool . The experience was memorable . One can buy souvenirs too .
We went during a weekday on low season so the place was a bit ghosted. Not even everything was open. I don’t know about high season but on low season elf school is only open on Fridays. The place was pretty cute and fun to shop around but clearly geared towards younger kids. We did get some pretty cute elf postcards. The cutest detail was that there were two mail boxes. One for send now and one for send later meaning Christmas time. One thing we didn’t like as much was that the info desk people mentioned there being a husky park and you pay a fee to see huskies. What they failed to mention was all the huskies were in cages and to pet them there is another hefty fee on top of that. Definitely not worth the entry fee. There is also husky rides there but it seems very commercialized, I think you can find better husky tours.
One of the best vacations! We stayed at the hotel in Santa Clause Village for a week, and it was wonderful. The village is peaceful and beautiful. Very pleasing to look at and walk around. There are a lot of shops, although many of them have the same souvenirs. With that said - note that the prices are not always the same. You can also find several cafés/restaurants.I believe we tried them all, except of the loft café.We had dinner at the three elves, and in the glass resort and it was very good!Had lunch at the Cafe which is located in the long building with some shops (sorry, forgot the name). The salmon soup was great, but the burger and fish and chips not so much. There is also a Burger and Pizza place. It is OK. But not great..................You can go there on short Huski and Reindeer rides. And book other activities, such as Reindeer and Huski Safaries, snowmobile safaries, and more. This can be booked at Wild Nordic - also, across the street by the gas station (not shell, the other one)..................And of course, you can meet Santa. Entrance in free, but the pictures/videos are pricey. We were there in March, and went to see Santa in the middle of the week, so the line was short. But I understand that the lines can be very long!.............The village is close to Rovaniemi so you can take a bus to the village/city center. Very convenient............Oh, and there is a live Cam on YouTube. So you can take a look at the place. And wave hello to others once youre there.
Really enjoyed the visit but a bit disappointed that everything costs so much (including a photo with Santa. It really borders feeling like a big business rather than a magical place for children and adults. It would be great if they had a few free activities.
The best place to go with friends and family! Can take photo with Santa Claus, walk around and explore the whole village- meet with Santa- reindeer ride- ice skating inside a huge igloo- air donut sliding
🎅 was super cute, he had answers to all my questions. We also checked into artic circle point and also posted letter from artic circle to our loved ones
Lot to see and experience. Especially for kids and child minders. Shops to buy some Finnish quality products, but also tourist stuff with average quality. Northern amuse park.
A great place to enjoy a few days in the snow. Plenty of activities, mainly for children, but also for adults.Lot of tours can pick you up there and some of them even start on the other side of the road.Shops close usually at 17:00 or max. 18:00, including most of the restaurants.
One of the best place to visit in winter. Truly love it and would highly recommend for trips.
It was a heavnly experience.Overall an amazing experience for kids aging from 3 years to 10 years. Highlight of visiting SC village is meeting and snaping with Santa & crossing the geographical Arctic line both for kids and adults. Quite impressed by a fact that lord Ganesha"s idol gifted by ex President of India Pranab Mukherjee was sitting in Santas room. We all were impressed by this gesture and a big thank you to Lapland team for the same. One thing that was a put off this place doesnt show any history about Santa. Also when our kids inquired with the elves/staff how old is Santa? She replied rudely that she doesnt know.Another put off was Mrs.Claus house was closed it opens only on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Though there are lots of souvenir shops and restaurants. Overall you will leave the place by building great memories.i
Wonderful place and you get to meet Santa and Mrs Santa. Plenty to do including reindeer slay rides & snowmobiling. Loads of shops and caffès that are reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit but would be difficult to fill a week unless you went on excursions.
Its fantastic for childeren but for adult people I would recommend maximum of 2 days there Its nice to see and have been there but its more incredible for kids
Nice place where Christmas is all year around. There’s not much to do there, but you can visit Santa , have a husky ride and buy some souvenirs. Everything is pretty expensive though. Fantastic place to go with children
Its an okay touristy place, very well thought out. Was able to get an certificate of niceness for my mother, Im sure it will make her smile.
Had alot of fun here. You can send postcards at the postoffice and meet santa! But beware, theres 2 santas. One in his main building and one at the big gift shop. Kinda confusing.
A wee bit too much for me but it‘s actually a nice idea and definitely worth a visit with kids. I thought that the post office was the best part of it all. 😁
Santa claus village... not what french people would expect, quite small place, the different "houses" of the village are shops, post office and stuff like that. The santa claus house is quite nice, even though with covid the picture was way to expensive but you can take it without having to buy it so why not...The polar circle limit is what I found the most interesting out there, its quite fun to say that youve been where at least once a year there is no sunlight/ no night. The post office was also interesting since the price are the same as in any other post office and you have a special stamp from santa claus village which can be fun to have and to send to friends
Overall a place to go if you go to Finland !Entrance is free and activities are quite expensive. However the atmosphere is great and we had a good time there !
What a magnificent and enchanting experience, continue the magic of Christmas by visiting Santa Claus village. Take the night train from Helsinki and arrive in Rovaniemi by minus 21 degrees, winter is cold in the land of winter wonderland but hearts are warm. 🎄🎅🏻
Good place to visit during christmas and winter time. Husky ride was worth it! Amazing experience. It feels magical with snow and the light effects. There is also nive souvenier shops to send gifts to your loved ones from the Santas Post office.
Good attraction for kids. But parents should be ready to spend a lot of € for photos with Santa (40€ for a small photo), souvenirs, cafes etc. For me it looked more like a bunch of souvenir shops with pretty similar stuff, it would be better to use those premises for some other activities for kids & adults. I wish people dont buy tickets to reindeer safari since those poor creatures deserve to be treated better. Its better to go there around 9:30-10:00 while its a bit dark and not much people around, you can probably make a pic with no one else around.
This place is heaven and magical for all ages. Specially at Christmas season, you can feel very different breeze. Free entrance fee for coming. You can take bus pay €4 per pax or taxi around €20-25 one way from Rovaniemi city center. You can enjoy the park, reindeer ride, Husky ride, sent your postcard from Santa Claus Post office or taking photo with Santa Claus pay €45 get 2 photos and 1 video for one year. Hope can come back again to this place, Merry Christmas All 🎄🎄🎄
Magical place to meet Santa Claus, especially during Christmas! Send letter to your loved ones from Santas post office. Enjoy short Reindeer Sleigh ride & husky ride. Enjoy crossing the Artic circle. Lots of souvenir shops & restaurants at this place. A fantastic place to spend you whole day with family.
Amazing experience and great fun for the kids, however inside every building was a shop. I was hoping to walk into Santas post office and see letters everywhere or his chocolate shop to be very fantasy and his secret attic... Lack of creativity to sell extremely expensive merchandise
Concept is great very fun idea for adults and children, unfortunately the facilities are very outdated there isn’t as much Christmas cheer as we would have hoped. Santa is only available and seen when taking a picture and that is unfortunate because you have to wait on a long line just yo see him for 2min maybe… he should be everywhere! You have to pay a lot for all of the small activities, if you’re staying there as a guest I think they should probably be half price or something like that. It isn’t cheap staying in a cabin, so should come with some perks. The weather in Finland is mostly very cold there are no indoor facilities for children to play in other then ridiculous €1 ride cars that you find at a mall which was ridiculous. Only had outdoor playgrounds which are great but when it’s -20 it’s a little difficult to be out for so long. The restaurant on site was overpriced and not very good, our waiter in particular seemed like he had better things to be doing with his time then his job. Souvenir shops were awful cheap and very few things said anything about Santa Claus village?? We booked a private meet and greet with Santa who came to our cabin for €150 for 15min… was it nice sure it was ok but NOT worth it he stayed in our room for 12min only, this should be more affordable so more people can enjoy seeing Santa in the SANTA CLAUS village. What was very annoying and inconvenient was the fact that most people had sleds for their kids, and when I asked the front desk for one they said they didn’t have any. As a parent trying to explain to a toddler why they can’t have one but seeing everyone else with one was very I infuriating! Overall I wouldn’t recommend staying here, a quick visit seemed more reasonable…. But definitely NOT worth all the money spent.
A magical place to visit during Christmas. Definitely a must see for real Santa Claus ... for a walk with the reindeer, the scenery is magnificent, everything is white. There is easy access from Rovaniemi by bus 8. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic place to go! So much to do, from meeting Santa, the reindeer farm and sleigh ride to the husky centre. Advise booking husky rides as it becomes full very quickly. Many lovely shops, restaurants and cafes. Visit Sant Claus Post Office where you can post a letter from Santa and request a letter for next year to. The Village is really quite big, can easily spend a day here.
A must see attraction in Rovaniemi. E we came here two days in a row. Admission to the park is free but be prepared to pay a ton of money for everything else you like to do such as reindeer ride, husky ride, pictures with Santa, food and drink. But trust me, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it worth it. Kids had the time of their life.
Must visit place when in Lapland. Amazing place for fun for all ages and specially children. Enjoy husky, reindeer ride. Learn about Sami culture and enjoy lapish food.
An amazing place you should visit with your kids at least once in a lifetime, preferably when theyre young and still believe. Its a great place to see even as an adult.
Looks beautiful from the outside but there are literally only cheap souvenir shops and a restaurant in the middle.Maybe worth a stop for 5 min when passing by but nothing you cant miss.Only thing that I would consider nice is the post office there where you can send cards with the Santa clause village stamp. Also kids are able to write letter to the Santa clause which can be nice for families.Overall quite disappointing unfortunately...
The entire visit to Santa Clause village was absolutely fantastic, the smallies were totally swept up in the whole experience! They really enjoyed their time wandering about, seeing all the activities and lights, and of course meeting the real deal himself 🎅
Really fun place to go, and if you want to meet the real Santa of course. That said, it is good to know that all is very expensive. Entrance is free, but a photo with Santa for example, will cost you €30. Or €8 If you want to see reindeers. So yes, it is ret nice to do so and the scenery is great, but know that activities come with a pricetag.
Perfect must have visit place with children! Cross the Arctic Circle and visit Santa! You can by photos and video of Your talk with real Santa Claus! In souvenir shop You can buy postcards and send them with Santa postmark!
Christmas themed park. It operates all year round but it’s specially magical and, naturally packed, during the month of December. Built right on the line marking the Arctic Circle.Lots of activities, from reindeer or husky rides to even meeting Santa himself. You’ll also find many stores in the main building and can, for a small fee, purchase a certificate stating you’ve crossed the Arctic Circle line. You can also visit Santa’s post office where you can send a postcard back home with a unique stamp, obtainable there. It’s one of the main attractions in Lapland and definitely a must-visit while in Rovaniemi. If you want to stay at the hotel, particularly during peak season, definitely book in advance.
You have to come here if you visit Rovaniemi, Finland 🇫🇮 so nice lovely place lovely people, good for photographers! better when winter time highly recommend!
Beautiful place with all activities nearby.. Nice hotel with all amenities... Rooms have sauna inside😊....Santa claus office with reindeer n husky farms nearby.. Artic circle passing certificate can be taken from here. Most of safari operators has their offices here. Always recommended to come in mid October to February....
How do you put pure magic into words? One of the most magical, memorable trips. Cabins very comfortable, bathroom with sauna. Loads of activities and walks. Everyone friendly and helpful. Free airport pick up and drop off by Santa’s elves, yummy traditional breakfast, sleigh rides, huskies, northern lights etc public bus to rovanemi. Santa was the Santa!!
