Year-round visits with Santa Claus in rustic surrounds with reindeer, elves & a post office.
Somewhat overrated. Lots of souvenir shops and a couple ofbetter retail
Finally met Santa! Nice to be there, well set up. Staff is not always that friendly and prices are fair. Tip: dont go to the first Santa, its a help Santa! Go to the back of the village and into one of the shops or ask one of the staffmembers.
Nicely decorated with quality. In the August nicely quiet and Santa had plenty of time for chatter.Very nice.
Very nice place if you visit with kids or during winter time 👍
This was a great place to visit with the family - would 10/10 come back here again!
A nice place to visit.Good, famous Finnish design as well as traditional souvenirs.Tasty buns and coffee ☕🥞
Santa was on a break for the 30mins so we did not visit. It was not on issue for us as Fins but might suprise tourists with tight schedule
Its worth to visit though nothing to do there except buying souvenirs and sending mail. You can meet Santa for free, but theyll make you buy a picture of yours, which will be taken without your permission. Prices are very higher
Kids will love meeting the Santa
Just a little out of season, but the Christmas cheer is surely present! No waiting line for Santa so visiting in summer has its perks.Everything is designed for you to spent money, but it has been one of the most enjoyable "tourist traps" we visited so far. There is a little bit of still untapped potential (we were expecting a more Efteling feel), but sure worth a visit.
Great place for kids, santa claus looked very realistic. Respect
Nice place to visit, though the price of the official pictures with Santa Claus were too expensive. There à two little shops below, can be the place to buy the post cards to have a nice letter coming from the Santa claus village.
Must visit, highly recommended
Must visit place for a tourist. We can meet Santa Claus personally and have a chat.He greets us based on our Nationality. It took around 40-45 min to meet Santa due to the queue. We can purchase the photo hardcopy or digital copy.
Not a lot to see, but theres a short walk you can do inside the house.
Super duper place...with Kids we also luv the place...icing on cake was snow...very well placed direction signs...good option for food..easy to reach....Reindeer Ride...Santa office...Santa post office...mrs. santa home...
The overall experience was amazing. We were put off by one thing that the Elf/staff at Santa office didnt know how old was Santa. Well thats the most basic thing that they should know. Overwhelmed by this gesture that Lord Ganesha Indian Idol gifted by Ex President of India were sitting in Santa office. Overall clicking with Santa is more money making business.
The Santa Claus Village is the best and major tourist spot in Lapland – Santa’s own hometown! It is almost impossible not to cross the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. The Arctic Circle runs through the Santa Claus Village, located eight kilometres north of the city centre, where it is clearly marked. Santa Claus Village in Lapland is a popular place to cross the Arctic Circle: here the line is marked, and you can even get a certificate confirming the feat. At that moment, I felt I was the luckiest man in the world. We first stepped into the Santa Claus Office. The ambience was just fantastic and a real fairy-tale-like experience. We were ushered in by Santa’s hard-working and beautifully cute helpers, the elves. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw Santa seated inside on a wooden chair amidst a lot of gifts with his big fat belly resting on his lap! He is around 6.5F tall with a long real looking beard. He greeted us and gave us our seat. And had a little chit chat about the Xmas and arctic history. However, photos and videos are prohibited inside. For 45 Euros, we all got one photo each to cherish as a memoir for a lifetime.
Amazing place for amazing experience. You may have to wait for santas photos but it is all worth it. Just make sure you dont go here in December because you may have to wait for 8 hours just for a photo and i dont think it is worth the shot
We expected a cute little village but it clearly is a theme park where shops, expensive hotels and paying attractions are king. If you want to enjoy it to its fullest, be prepared to pay a lot.
Really worth to visit, of course made for tourist, but it gives good santa vibes
One of the most magical place (Santa Claus VillageI have ever visited. This place have all the magic of so called fairyland. Once we got down from bus for the village it immediately felt mesmerising. The entire village was so so good. I could spend daysssss here.We met Father Santa but due to covid there was a glass between us and the Father Santa and we couldnt touch his beard :P, but still it was so nice to be in his office, get the photo clicked.Firstly we thought the photos clicked are given for free but we were wrong, its a pricy one. But since it was our first trip to this we bought the photos and there was a video too. When we were in Rovaniemi on 25th Dec 2021, we had a chance to meet Santa again in his city office and this was something really really good. We could hug him, touch his beard and have a very nice photo and video. Since it was 25th Dec the mall was not crowded at all and only couple of people in queue to get pictures with Santa in city office. We also got our photo autographed by him :).This was again paid, but since we enjoyed this time alot it was totally worth and better as compared to meeting Santa in Santas office in santa claus village. In total the visit to Rovaniemi was one of our life time memory. Given an opportunity I would love to revisit this place again.
Nice place go meet Santa claus in a very amazing place where you can take a non forgetable photo with Sata claus, you can print these photo directly or later on.You can buy som toys or something to remind you with this uniqe visit. The office located in the Santa village which is amazing and absolutely recommend to visit.
Beautiful like in fairy tail place.Details, music, lights and overall feeling is magical! As we have been few times here during our stay. We recommend to come here in the morning or late afternoon (before closing time)In this time you can take beautiful pictures without so many people.
Like a fairytale! Wonderful. Well organized, planty to see and do.
Lovely place for Christmas and New year.
A good place to visit with younger children. And, maybe its just me, but for some reason at this place it felt like Mr. Santa is more like businessman than a "real" Santa Claus.
A magical place if you visit during Christmas. It is for children but also for adults. You can find many gifts for your loved ones, send a letter from Santa Claus, see him and take a photo with him. The landscape is completely covered with snow. I highly recommend it.
Great experience exclusively for touristsThis has got to be a place where parents are forced to take the kids to.I visited here with my boyfriend and it wasnt for us. We didnt like how expensive everything normal in Finland were, when theyre themed Santa.Id rather visit Santa in a mall, take a walk in the wild to see some reindeers and petsit my neighbors husky. All for free.In my boyfriends words Santa has been naughty.
Very nice experience and was exactly what I expected, be prepared for a very long queue/wait time, so arrive early and get a time slot or book in advance on the website!
I had missed it when I went into the commercial building the first time. Therefore, I find it worth mentioning that when you enter the main building, you have to enter the shop opposite to the main gate. Through the shop, you go through a pathway decorated with Santa-isc vibe. There was a long queue to meet Santa. Therefore, we did not meet him as we were already going to get a picture with Santa at the Santa Park.
Amazing, the kids loved it, quite a wait for Santa as the day goes on so get in there early to spend more time in the village. Very helpful providing bags to take off your thermals to get a better photograph.
Very beautiful experience and for all the family
Thr One & Only place to meet Santa all year round 💝
Festive look and feel. However this is a very well done shopping destination. The visits to Santa Claus are very well done. They record your entire converstions and take photos of your visit that you can buy, without obligation, at the end. Very charming for an outdoor type mall setting. However, sadly not much else to do.
I never think I would meet santa in my life but fortunately I met him and took a picture with him. It was unbelievable for me. My family enjoyed the trip and most memorable part In the trip is meeting real santa and real elves there at santa office. If anyone goes to Rovaniemi please dont miss this place
Its fun for children and there is a great atmosphere. It should be more free activities (ex. visit reindeer, husky, ice sculpture, playground, ..).
was interesting to see ,but I am sorry to say that Santa... he is living in GREENLAND 🎅🤶
It reminds you about Christmas all year round. Santa is always around to see you.
Nice location but super commercial and turistic. Its a good spot for kids and family I guess, for the rest everything is very expensive and they give you nothing for free.
wonderful place, specially during winter holiday. price to take a picture with Santa is to much. a lot things to do and to fill. recommended!
Meet the real Santa! They will give you a meeting time so you don’t have to wait in as long of a line (there will still be a short wait). You can take pictures of Santa’s Desk and Time Regulating Machine while you wait. There’s also a small gift shop. The photo is €32 (a bit priceyand they also have an option to purchase a video of your meeting with Santa.
We came here on a Saturday in mid November. Boy, this place is crowded, real crowded.Atmosphere is great with lots of kids around. But peace & quiet? NO!Pick your day and enjoy!
Its a magical experience visiting the office of Santa if you dont mind it being slightly on the pricy side. The line up area has a lot of Christmas decoration for photographs but pictures with Santa can only be taken by the elves. Kids will love the experience.Hmm... I heard Santa can speak many languages, is that true? ^_^
Santa Claus office is the place where Santa Claus resides in Santa Claus village, Rovaneimi. You could meet the official Santa Claus, who meets and greets you with great smile and love. You are not permitted to take pictures, but they will take photos and videos instead & you need to pay for it. The queue in winter may be quiet long (May take 1.5 hours& in summer it is generally not that crowded. A must visit for the kids !
try to avoid Christmas time if you dont like queues for hours.santa is open all year round and we have winter from November till May. Snowy winter with lots of sun
kids will love it, if u are a Santa believer u may love it. Other than those, it is just a money spending tour spot.
Very nice place to go during Xmas time.
First of all, this where the real Santa lives. He speaks multiple languages, this great man. His elfes are tiny but work hard. After queuing a bit you have the unique occasion to meet and greet Santa. Whilst you do that you’re broadcasted on the Santa Claus channel. You can buy the picture for €30 or choose for the digital copy with video of your visit for €40. The amazing thing is when you come out of the visit: you can post your Christmas cards there with the coice of 2 mailboxes: one says ´now’ the other says ´at Christmas’. Fantastic!
The place is wonderful, all year long. I visited both in summer and winter, very beautiful.
