The staff is always friendly and they are quick to get orders out to you nice and hot.

really disappointed. i waited around thirty minutes before leaving without even being spoken to. one of the staff kept running across to the chinese gourmet and back without even acknowledging me and the people in front of me. the other was making up orders but kept running back and forth the the back (not bringing back anything just kinda running). now i get it, i work in the food industry as well but this is horrible customer service. very disappointed and even more so to see that i’m not the only one this has happened to. i didn’t even go on a weekend or anything, i went on a tuesday evening. i ended up going across the way to the chinese gourmet and got some food there.

Waited in line for 30 minutes for the server to actively ignore me and speak to the lady behind me.

Ordered the beef and shrimp and a cup of Miso soup. Made to order (spicyand the food was delicious!

Unbelievably slow and miserable ☹️ The staff didnt acknowledge you, barely enough to place an order. They never said anything about a 30 minutes early either. I had to ask for my money back after waiting 30 minutes for an order of teriyaki chicken. While I was waiting by the cash register for the cashier to come back, i realize she keeps going across the hall to the Chinese restaurant with 3 to-go containers at a time, borrowing food and bringing it back in the to-go boxes and then serving it up to her customers. I couldnt believe i watched it all. I feel like it is very simple, if i wanted Chinese food i would have gone to the restaurant nextdoor in the first place. This is supposed to be japanese. Not real sure of the difference but its the principle of the situation.

Stopped in at 5:20pm and was told they are no longer taking orders. They close at 6 !!! Said because they needed to clean up . Had a few people in line waiting to order .. worst service ever !!!!!

This place was awful, we placed an order and they got the order completely wrong, then told us they had no chicken left because they didn’t want to take the time to cook the chicken for us cause it would take 10 minutes — they literally said that. Awful experience, by the time we got the order semi-fixed (no chicken)(didn’t get the veggies we orderedthe rest of our food was cold.

Daughter wanted asian food and we needed some place close by our appointment. So she picked Sensei. Called it in drove over and it was ready pretty quickly. We all enjoyed the food and the order taker/cook/cashier was great!

It’s New Years Eve and we called to place an order at 5:25pm. We were told that they were closing at 6pm in observance of New Years Eve, but their grill was off and they weren’t taking anymore orders. It makes since to close early for the holiday, but shutting down the grill 35 minutes before close is ridiculous!

We used to love this place because the meat was so fresh and cooked so well but the last couple times we have gone we have been very disappointed. I love the taste of the teriyaki. The chicken has a lot of fat and cartilage in it. My daughter got the chicken with beef and shrimp. When she opened it, it had very little beef and shrimp. The shrimp had the tails left on it. When we used to get the same thing the tails were never left on. I won’t be going back because the quality has really gone down.

Food was good but my plate had little meat on it it was filled with noodles it was a teriyaki chicken and shrimp

FOOD POISONING. The only meal my kid and I shared all day, and we were violently ill not long after. Wife was with us all day, and wasnt sick, so we know it wasnt another restaurant. BEWARE.

Always friendly and they give you a good amount of yummy food.

This place is great! Excellent service, the food is great, and portions are very generous! Xin was VERY nice and helpful. The food is cooked to order right after you order it.Weve been looking for a good place for Chinese food here in Cruces and it looks like we should have just tried the Japanese place!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My boyfriend and I go here whenever we’re craving Japanese food. The best in Las Cruces, no exaggeration whatsoever. Fresh every time and SO flavorful. I have not had one bad experience there at all. Staff is excellent and kind.
