The vibe is unique.Live music and an unforgettable sunset view
Nice cosy beach
In my top 2 favourite beaches/ location in the UK! Sandy beach 😊, intimate, more original places to eat, no noisy arcade games, lovely garden on top, clean, nice marina, nice people, wonderful water to swim in! 😉
Wonderful beach with sand and pebble options.....parking up a hill and you need to arrive by 11am on a hot summer day to get a spot...4+ to all day is £10 and today, 10th July 2022 all the machines out of service but apps to pay are available....there is 5g coverage on the beach!
Hot Sunday in Lyme Regis
Lots of dogs beautiful views
One of my favourite beaches in Dorset and the Southern England 🏖️🌊🌊🌊✨✨✨💛
Many car parks near bySandy beach in one sidePebble beach on the otherGreat coast viewsGood variety of restaurants around
Simply the best, try the town mill bakery whilst you are there. Great breakfasts, breads and cakes.
Lovely Sandy beach close main town.
Great sandy beach with lifeguards. Lots of places around for snacks, more substantial meals or drinks. Gets very busy so get there early to get a spot on the beach and in the car park.
Incredible beach, very popular, very geared up for family days at the beach, everything youll need. Good visibility of the whole beach so parents can keep an eye on the kids but it does get very busy in summer. Head down towards the cobb for less crowded crabbing and look out for all the free events and activities run throughout the year. Clearly the town has a whole bunch of dedicated volunteers who do an amazing job creating a wonderful safe environment. Its a famous town for a reason, dont hesitate in going to see what all the fuss is about. Just dont expect easy parking. Its worth the extra effort.
Beautiful place...perfect weather and good place for dog 🐕 owners
Small beach but it s a beautiful place !
One of the best British beaches you can visit.
Lovely family friendly beach. Great for kids. The cob is good for a big walk too. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice clean beach.water is nice and clean.great pubs near by and some great fish and chip shops. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but the long stay car park is only £2 for the day so a little walk down to the beach is worth it.we find walking down town easier and then walk along the sea front to the beach
Very nice but a bit too busy for me. Not everyone respect social distancing. Parking was hard to find as well. It was very busy though.
It was quite busy, not much social distancing going on, as there was no room to get out of the way of others, grandkids enjoy being on the beach once wed found a safe spot amongst the crowd.
Lovely area, great beach enjoyed skimming stones
Gorgeous landscapes and beautiful clear sea.
Gorgeous traditional small seaside town. Ideal for families.
Absolutely beautiful place, great parking, great food outlets, little shops, pubs, right close to the beach.Everywhere we went stuck to the 2m social distancing rules.Perfect day out 👌
Great little beach with shops just off the beach offering everything from ice cream, fish and chip and mostly anything else you didnt bring with you. Great day out with beautiful views and lovely blue water.
Lovely beach with friendly pubs, etc.
Even on a February day, the beach was great. Lovely views and fresh air
Great little sandy beach. Can get busy but it’s great for families. Plenty of options close by for food / drinksRNLI station really close - kids always enjoy a visit to see the lifeboats
Great beach. Lovely town nearby. Was packed during August when the heatwave hit.
Fantastic clean beach lovely views busy sea front with Lots of eateries far end is the Cob with fishing boats a perfect British seaside without the usual tat
Lovely beach in the middle of Lyme Bay, really well maintained and cleaned so that you can be confident it will be in good condition. Sadly some people dont value the beauty of the planet and hence the council/town needs to do quite a lot to keep the beach clean. No dogs allowed during the summer which is a good thing, but during the summer it gets very very busy!!!
What a fantastic beach, check the tide times before planning your visit, when the tide is in there is no sand left. Great for body boarding too.
Very pretty area, but on a nice sunny day the brach can and will get very crowded. If you walk round onto the cob there is a nice little aquarium. The views are quite spectacular as well, great area for photographers.
Absolutely lovely, lovely sea side town. There are two beaches one is pebbled and the other is sand but alot smaller. Good rock pools for crabbing :)
Love it here. Great for everyone including dogs. May bank holiday they usually have marquee up with loads of stall in to enjoy. Would love to go again, just seems to clash with other events.
There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants along the Sandy Beach. Beautiful beach huts and cobblestones. Great for family.
If your looking for a place to relax this is where to go
We love Lyme Regis and visit a few times during the summer. Its lovely to stroll the promenade to The Cobb, have an ice cream or coffee, and check out the various shops. This is a large sandy beach and easily accessible.
Great place for kids! A good sandy beach with shells, stones and grass too! Ice cream was a tasty treat (careful of the seagulls!). The car park can be a bit of a struggle at busy times. A super fun day out! It wasn’t the warmest of days when visited and we still had a blast!Thank youtlb reviews
Beautifully place, perfect for familys and couples
Nice beach in Lyme Regis. Sand is soft, lots of facilities close by with lots of choice for food and parking. Great for families as seems nice and safe.
Nice place to go for a Day trip or a long stay. Nice and clean beach with a good quality sea to swim or paddle in. Nice selection of seaside shops available. You can just go for a nice walk along the coast.
A really well named beach. Very popular, maybe too popular. Lots of good sand, lots of families not much space to spare.Ice cream, loos, cafe, sea, sand, sun what more do we want from a trip to the seaside.Grandchildren loved it, a bit too sunny for me, but hey ho.Fun morning on the beach a good way to spend the time.
Amazing beach, clean and tidy. Not much parking as its super busy so get there early else parking is up a very steep hill. Places to get food and drink plus a few shops. Great day out with the family. Areas to sea fish as well.
What truely wonderful views from just off the beach are afforded from the gardens behind as for the beach a great place to take young children so that they can play on a traditional Dorset South of England Beach highly recommended place with all the amenities for making a day of it if the English Weather holds? Go and enjoy yourselves one and all!
A lovely little seaside town and beach. Though named/labelled Sandy Beach, only a small portion of it is with the rest predominantly pebble. As the tide goes out a nice little band of sand is revealed and its more than adequate for sandcastle building and playing with the little one. Lots of shops nearby with a good offering of ice creams and other treats. On a sunny day its absolutely stunning.
Beautiful, sandy beach with nice, not too tacky, shops, cafes etc. Lovely...
Grate for the kids a sandy beach and pebble at the other end at Lyme Regis
Very picturesque with landscape view of Sea Two, Golden Cap and Beer.Lots of nice little shops near by. Places for Fish and Chip, and pubs near by for meal.
Dog owners. Disgraceful, mess leaving, disrespectful dog owners. Many decide to inundate this beach even between April and October when they shouldnt, proceeding to leave dog mess everywhere.Other than that, its a great pebble beach with a small sandy area (Westharbour end.ice cream, antiques, coffee, seafood, pub food, fish n chips all available. Disabled parking West side of beach.
Came here by based on good reviews. That sandy beach qouted is tiny and not enough for everyone dont waist your time if you here for sea dip and proper sea side activities. But if you want fresh local sea food, on water activities, nice walk along sea front soak up some local cultural charm, yeah its worth it. Choose to come down on sunny day its big bonus. Over and out.
