Sandman Hotel & Suites Williams Lake in Williams Lake

Our room was supposed to have a great pool view but it didnt in the slightest. We were on the ground floor. Between us and the pool was bushes, a stairway, a parking lot, and a tall fence. See photo of "pool view" being advertised.The pool was pretty with its tile and layout. Lots of people were enjoying it but nobody was bothersome. The hot tub had a really strong jet that was great for massages but I had to get my friends to hold me in place to massage my shoulders with the jet because it was that powerful. The other jets in the hot tub werent as powerful. The temperature wasnt as hot so I could bask for a long time.It seems like there were other nice public areas but I didnt get to check them out.The bedding felt nice and the room had a better than average decorating scheme.The shower had small spots of wear.The price was pretty great considering all the other hotels that Ive stayed at for a similar price or even for more.I didnt get to interact with anybody who worked there so I cant tell you about the employees.Were going to use that hotel again. :)

Can’t understand how this place gets more than 1 star. It does not resemble the pictures. Loud, ants in the room, when I first arrived I was given the key to a room that was being occupied by another person; I open the door and that person’s belongings were all over the room. The lady at the front desk apologized, and was very nice and friendly. However, fire alarms going on twice did not help with sleep. I was there for business.People out at night every night being loud. Drunk guys the second night. Front desk did not do anything about it. I would have not stayed there if I would have seen the place before booking, moreover, I would never stay in a hotel where I don’t feel safe. And my safety was a concern the second night. The place is extremely expensive for what it has to offer.Also, they need to add blackout drapes to the windows; there was no privacy in the room.Breakfast was good, not free, but good; and the young lady at the cafe was extremely nice.One of the worst places I have visited.

To me, the highlight of this property is the pool/patio area, which features a nice, low chlorine pool and a jacuzzi. There is a shower for convenience right on the patio, as well as lounging chairs and tables with umbrellas. The rooms have been tastefully remodeled and the fridge and microwave in each room is a huge bonus for me. The ice machines actually had ice in them, even tough it was a hot day and the property is pet friendly. The workout room is bare bones but still nice to have!

The staff are very friendly. The grounds are nice. The pool is huge with a snack bar that is open on the weekends. They have a Dog Park area for accommodating dogs. My only suggestion would be to renovate the rooms and steam clean or pressure wash the walkways in front of the doors.

My husband and I are temporarily living the nomadic life and in need of a place to sleep for one night, booked the Motel 6 North in Santa Rosa. It was an absolute travesty. We checked out immediately (it was about midnightand while driving away noticed The Sandman.Philippe was working the night shift and greeted me with utmost friendliness. The lobby was clean and very welcoming which was true for the room he booked us into. We enjoyed a sound nights sleep and a good shower in the morning. We didnt make it to the complimentary breakfast or lovely pool area - perhaps next time as now I know of a exceptionally priced local hotel for when I need it. Thank you Sandman!

Resort is cute. Rooms are a bit dated and drain to bathtub was backed up. However, pool and firepit area were cute. Person manning the bar during happy hour spent most of his time out to lunch and Yoga/Wine session never took place. We waited and waited but yoga instructor never showed up and wine was never served. So be sure to bring your alcohol.

Stayed on July 31st. This place is beautiful. Such a cute exterior. Rolling up on it everything was lit up pink from the sunset. The room was nothing fancy. Old fixtures and such which were kind of cute and kitchy. Nice linen and super comfortable beds with lots of pillows. The pool, hottub and bar area was adorable. Really big hot tub where we shared a conversation with a few people. The bartender was nice and helpful with getting more of the pool towels. Cute little outdoor shower to rinse off at that had really hot water. We were glad it had a bigger fridge and microwave because we were road tripping up the coast. Breakfast was pretty standard but good and stayed stocked. Loved it!! #kentuckyhotwine

The place is plush. Proper linens. Super comfortable bed. The best pillows and bedding. The continental breakfast was generous and the staff were nice. On certain nights there is a poolside bar with a jacuzzi and fire pit. At $__ per night, they stand well above the competition. Highly recommended.

So I stay in a lot of hotels and I stayed at the Sandman about 10 years ago but boy, have things changed!During a bathroom remodel I was ousted from my home for a few weeks and found a second home at The Sandman-What a pleasant surprise!I dont think that it could have gone any easier unless my grandma were here cooking me three Square meals a day (J/K-My grandma was a horrible cookBUT...I have to give a shout out to Alex at the front desk because he was helpful and kind and always had a pleasant word to say-Alex, you are ACES!Really I could go on and on about this place but I hope the pictures do speak for themselves and I will definitely 100% be back. OXOX

Very clean room, comfortable bed, good in-room amenities like a safe and decent sized refrigerator. Generally you should expect a Motel 6 room but with fresh paint and fancy brand of soap. Pool and fire pits are nice. Housekeeping is reduced like everywhere else now. BUT BEWARE: don’t pay extra for “poolside” rooms. They are indeed on the pool side, but who cares when there is a parking lot and a solid fence between you and the pool deck. You will not see your people at the pool from your room.

Modest room for good price.Nice breakfast of muffins, coffee, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, juice. Yogurt could have been labeled, my kid thought was whipped cream for the strawberries lolSoap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers.Quiet room. Comfy beds. A/C

Although we initially had some troubles with our reservations, (not completely on the hotels part), everything was taken care of and our room was even upgraded. Room was comfortable,quiet, and very clean. Staff was extremely helpful. All in all, a great place to stay.

Our stay was ok, clean rooms, nice pool and service at bar. Older place, smoking area next to the pool sucks if you have kids. Should be away from common areas. Breakfast, it says included but upon entering everything was out, no OJ coffee or milk, not to helpful about putting more stuff out.Room needs black out curtains also. Pool is the best, but probably would not stay here again.

Not expensive place close to wine tasting with a breakfast restaurant next door. The beer bucket was a major bonus as our non wine drinking driver enjoyed the beers after driving us winos around. Not super quiet but more so than I expected. Fluffy pillows and clean rooms. Parking was good and easy and we have a larger vehicle. Friendly front desk staff.

This hotel is NOT at all what wed imagined. Its a motel 6 with lipstick. Poolside means on the side where the pool is... across the parking lot. Pictures are deceiving, bright lights in rooms at night, pillows terrible, MANY miss communications between staff and even by phone before arriving.That said, it is clean for the most part (even though there are so many dogs around and allowed to stayand it is in a good location.

Our stay at The Sandman was a good one. I thought it was a very cute little boutique hotel. You can tell it is older but they did a great job remodeling. Everything was clean and the bed in my opinion was comfortable…my husband thought it was too soft?!? It was a unique stay at a really good price for a weekend getaway!! There was a pretty decent size area for the dogs do their business where they provided poop bags for the owners. We did not get to try out the pool because it was too cold for us Texans but there were always people in the pool and hot tub. One thing I thought was really nice is they host a wine yoga from 4-5p on the weekend with complimentary wine for the guests. Super neat…never heard of a hotel doing that. Breakfast was provided but minimal. They had a few different types of coffee, several types of tea, boiled eggs, build your own yogurt, cereal, muffins, and bread. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again, especially for the price. Hotels are just a place for us to lay our heads at night but this one is unique and not your typical!
