San Pedro's Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Tyler, United States
I love this place!! My family and friends have been here a bunch in the 7+years I have lived in this area. I havent been in a while so I stopped yesterday(9-26-22on my way through town to get lunch and got caught off guard because they were closed, so I contacted one of the managers that I happened to know and I was informed that unfortunately rising cost associated with acquiring food products along with other factors have forced this town favorite to close shop. Id like to thank the staff for the amazing service received every time i dined here!
Hostess and server were very courteous. Several years ago San Pedro had the best salsa around. Thick, sweet chili taste. Not anymore I ate there yesterday and the new owners changed the recipe. Quesadilla was bland. Tortilla was partially filled with meat, some cheese. No veggies. Guacamole had little taste. Disappointed.
Always good food. So sad they are closing for good this week.
Food is okay, service can be improved upon. A bit pricey.
Great as usual! This is the second time we had are group of 8 there and Tina Has been wonderful! We will be back!
San Pedro’s is a regular stop for us! We love this place!
Food is fantastic. The owners and staff are great as well. If we want Mexican food in the Chandler area, then San Pedros is our choice every time. There salsa is perfect, and if you want more kick, they can hook you up with salsa that has a bite to it but also still has phenomenal flavor.
Attentive, friendly staff, clean, and delicious food. This place has improved 1000% from five years ago.
Pretty good food. I had chicken fajita chimichanga. They were tasty, but they serve it as two individual chimis, and that makes each one have a lot of wrapper and not as much filling. Otherwise good taste We also got shrimp fajitas, which were really good. Chicken enchiladas were also very good. Staff was really friendly although seemed a little short of staff. I will definitely eat there again.
This is great Tex Mex . Our waitress was fabulous. She took great care of three tables at once our food was hot and we never ran out of drink. She was the best!
We were traveling through town and stopped about an hour before close. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. Specifically the brisket tacos were amazing. I’ll get some every time I pass by.
Very nice restaurant! Nice people, good food, good prices and great selection. Our server Brenda was very sweet and attentive.
The manager watched a roach crawl across the table and said... I guess thats why they call it pest control.I would hire an exterminator. And give something for free. No comp, no coupon , just a sorry excuse. Not cool.
It was good food and a wonderful staff. They are very attentive
Food was good, but the service was outstanding. Yes I would definitely go back.
Awesome food and extremely awesome service
Well walked in and was told 15 to 20 minute wait. I counted 8 empty tables
Consistently good Mexican food. Senior and childrens menu. Attentive management.
Was good food, Had a great waitress.
Ordered Taco salad paid more for Diablo shrimp all I got was shell, lettuce and shrimp. If you want a taco salad go to taco bell their better . I will not go to San Pedro again
No cook. Staff cooked I guess. No one was answering phone for take out orders. Charro beans cold. They put my queso on my tamale with the shuck on!
Service was horrible and the food was horrible. I ordered chicken fajitas and they came out not sizzling and water sitting in it. The skillet was warm, not hot. My wife ordered the pedro stack, which was good, but the rice was cold. The waiter was horrible and took forever to do anything, and im not exaggerating or being mean. I only gave a 2 star because my wife did say the dr pepper was really good, carbonated well, and they removed the fajitas from my bill. I cannot say i would recommend.
Was on a small get away and found this place. Was not very good. My husband had the chimichagas and he only ate one, beans tasted like from a can and the rice had no flavor. I had chicken nachos, more beans than anything and chicken was super salty. My son had quesadillas. He said they were ok. But not great. White queso had no flavor even with meat. My little one had chicken strips and gave him food poisoning. Not recommended. But cute place. But someone needs to go back to the drawing board on the food, and learn how to cook true Mexican food, even tex-mex, this was not it.
Great street tacos (steak, baja). Black beans and roasted salasa also good. Great service. Would eat here again.
My 1st visit to the restaurant was yesterday to order & go with my food. The Hostess was super nice, the what looked a manager greeted me and made sure that I had been helped. The food: I ordered the Fried Mushrooms and can say they are absolutely wonderful! I also ordered the Shrimp Street Tacos and was not at all impressed. Some of the Avocado was already brown, very little shrimp (which was also small in size), the cabbage should not be chopped it makes for a better taco if it’s shredded. The corn tortilla was good but no need to have two to each taco (that’s really a waste). Really all in all I was disappointed with them all around. The taste was bland.I will most definitely be back to try more of the food/s there.
The service is great food tastes good and fast ..so yes I like it
We thoroughly enjoyed eating. It was our first experience here. The quantity and quality are worth at least 10 stars. Service was outstanding.
Brenda , was a very attentive server, food was good, chimichaga, enchiladas, shrimp fajitas, & chicken maria,. Wish they would pictures of the food
Had to wait an hour to even get drinks and an other hour to get the food waitress come to us an offers 10% off our bill when it time to pay no discount. Food was cold too
Fantastic Food, Excellent Customer ServiceClean Environment
Service could be better. Food pretty good. Had carnitas.
The service was on point, thr atmosphere perfect, and the food wasnt bad. I wouldnt say it was amazing though. Now, my white queso was pretty darn good! I had grilled tilapia and shrimp with a salad and baked potato for my sides. My biggest complaint would be that the menu needs more detail. IE: my fish were served on a bed of rice. No mention of it though. The tilapia was topped with a delicious pineapple sauce or chutney, but not mentioned on the recipe. Also, it does not say how many sides each meal receives. Im sure the regulars are used to it all though.
This is a very nice restaurant and we are happy they are remaining open. Service is usually spot on and food is delicious. Just seems very quiet these days....no music 🎶 or sports on the TV.
We had a very good meal at San Pedro’s today. Our waitress Trenea was very speedy and took care of us. Great experience and good food.
The staff was lovely but the food was average. The "grilled corn" looked like canned corn with some spices. The Mexican rice was bland. The chicken in my Chimi was chunky like canned chicken. Disappointing overall. The staff was clearly working hard, but like most places didnt have enough help
Great service! We had the white queso with taco meat which was delicious! They serve Mexican food, hamburgers, sandwiches, Chicken fried steaks and more!!!
I think this place is trying to offer too much on their menu. Maybe stick with American homestyle or Mexican, but not both. Concentrate on perfecting one, then try the other. The "Mexican" food was bland and tasted as if it were from a can. Needs improvement, but the server was super!
Great food and our plates were full u actually get more than what u pay for. Our waitress Terena is great. My moms 80th b day is next week so we stopped & tried San Pedros out on our way back to lake and were both very glad we did.
3/18/21 Still a great place with fantastic service. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. We stopped in for lunch recently and really enjoyed the visit. It’s a cozy restaurant with good menu. Our last visit here was 9 years ago and we actually were seated at the same booth as we had been at our last visit. The service was good, the food was good and we were very pleased with our entire experience. It’s definitely the best Mexican food in Chandler.
Great food. Great service good prices very clean and friendly. Staff .would recommend to anyone
Good food, attentive service, reasonable prices. The salsa is excellent, chunks of tomatoes, onion and peppers. Slightly sweet, not too hot, really good.
Used to love this place. Had a terrible experience this last visit on 5/10/21. Had the Monday night Nacho Special with brown guacamole and what tasted like Velveeta cheese instead of nacho cheese. Manager had a terrible attitude to the employees and guests, even heard her catch an attitude with someone placing a to-go order over the phone. I will not be returning any time soon.
Excellent service from Holly serving excellent food & atmosphere was very pleasant (no loud music)! Never ending chips, their own fire roasted tomato & chile salsa & drinks, even a to go cup! Salsa can also be bought by pint & quart. We will definitely be back!
The food was very bad. My co-workers deep fried corn was still frozen. All of our food was tasteless. The chicken in my not so "super burrito" was obviously from a frozen package. Half of my burrito was just tortilla and had almost no taste except the cheese. My co-worker didnt even eat half his meal before giving up.When complained about the the corn, the waitress was not surprised and said that has been a consistent complaint. Our waitresses were very nice helpful though! However, with the food the way it is, we will not return again.
The restaurant has a nice "watering hole". One area could seat a real nice size party group.Going to San Ps for 7 years. Nicest "sit down" restaurant in town. Over the years we have had great service, then at others we have waited over 30 min. for our meal. Really depends on the server. If you want extra this or that (after your meal arrives), you cannot locate your server. TUESDAYS are our lunch bunches favorite. 3 tacos, rice & beans all for $. Guess you will have to visit on a Tuesday & see the cost.
Used to be a great place to eat. Service and quality has decreased dramatically. I live in Athens and work in Tyler. I used to order pickup on the way home. Past three times Ive called to place a pickup order they put me on hold and never came back. Still on hold with them right now going on 45 minutes and almost home so I give up.TLDR: Dont waste your money with these people they obviously dont need it.
We like the atmosphere and the outdoor patio eating area. The foods is always very good and they also have a bar.I would have given 5 stars, however the staff seems to have fast turnover. The service is sometimes slow not very professional and sometimes chaotic. We have even been there in the past when staff were arguing with each other. However, we have not been theyre as frequently as we used to be and I believe its Under New Management.
The food and service was amazing- fast friendly.. everything was fresh and great. Definitely will be going back
Great food. Great drinks. Wednesdays Margaritas are $3.50 all day.
Three of us ate here for lunch and had the super burrito. Really like the food. The service was slow starting but was fine afterward. Our wait staff was very attentive and polite. The cost for a lunch with water was well under $10. Wow!
