Super beautiful church right on the main square in Santa Ana. Free to visit and walk inside.There’s also the lesser known option to go up to the roof and see views of the whole city. $3 for extranjeros $2 for nationals. You just need to call 2447-3303 (same day is okayto schedule it. You can also ask the worker at the souvenir stand in the church to call if you don’t have minutes.

Historical cathedral. Next to it, you can find lots of small shops that makes sandwiches and in front of it, there is people that sells ice cream. Its next to the big park as well.

Santa Ana Cathedral is the most beautiful church in all of Central America

Santa Anas cathedral is right on the Parque Libertad, the centre of the city. As such, its a gathering place for young and old, an extension of the park itself. Salvadorans are proud of the faith, and the cathedral exemplifies exactly that. Even though cathedral and country have fallen on hard times, their strength and faith means both will rise again.

Cathedral of Santa Ana  one of the Gothic Revival architecture never done which was built between 1575 and 1576, being destroyed by lightning in the 19th century and was rebuild its a place with a lot history & also show us the way cathedral were build.

Beautiful place amazing people delicious food

A beautiful example of the neogothic architecture of the begining of the 20th century of El Salvador like in Santa Tecla. The white facade makes the little details of the structure look really beautiful and helps to preserve the historic look of the cathedral.The sides of the cathedral are brick unlike the facade. And though it may look strange, it puts the structure into perspective when you see the forms and the amount of bricks that were used to make it.The back is a bit difficult to see and is also made if brick, but the bit that you can see of it is truly impressive.The interior is beautiful, the lighting is perfect. The images are very interesting to see and the wooden seats and furnishing is intricate and shows true craftsmanship.The altars of course are striking and unexplainably beautiful, so Ill leave it to the Traveller to see it for themselves.Whether your a strong catholic or completely unreligious, its definitely worth a visit.
