San Diego SEAL Tours in Alpine

We did a SEAL tour of the harbor and it was great! We had so much fun with Bailey and Sully. This is a MUST do if you visit San Diego. We saw Sea Lions up close, various birds and lots of military ships and helicopters. This might be the highlight of our trip, at least so far. Highly recommended.

This is a tour youre going to want to take when you are in San Diego. IT IS A BUS THAT TOURS THE CITY AND GOES STRAIGHT INTO THE WATER TO TOUR THE SD BAY! We frequently visit family in SD and we were looking for something to do. At first, we thought this was just a bus that looks like a boat that tours the city, but no, it goes into the water. There are no bad seats. What an amazing and exciting experience!Our tour guide that day was very informative and she was very funny as well. We could hear her just fine as she spoke through the mic. We learned a lot that day and our driver / captain during that boat tour was great at getting us around town and around the waters.Make sure to tie your hair up if you have long hair and dont bring a hat. It can get quite windy. We had a blast and we got pretty close to the seals that were sunbathing on the dock. Pretty cool!

Never lose your sense of adventure. This ride gives you the best of both worlds...land lovers having fun being entertained by the captain as you are driven through the city directly into the bay. Bright sun...great breeze...and? So many seals to see! And beautiful bird life! A guaranteed pleasure to be a part of!

Bailey and Captain Kurt were awesome, the tour was informative and fun. The lady working the ticket counter however, is rude and nasty.. I visited on Wednesday 9/21 in the afternoon around 3:50 . Were it not for the nasty experience that I had with her, I would have given it 5 stars.

We had a great trip with Captain Chill and first mate Charlie. It was a great short outing to kick off our mini vacay to San Diego. The sales agent at the desk where we started the trip was a wealth of knowledge. Good value for the money. I would recommend this adventure.

The Seal Tour with Captain Kurt & First Mate, Bailey was worth every penny! Both were very courteous & Bailey was very entertaining but also very informative. As a team both were great! We all had a lot of fun including our 6 yr old. We would definitely ride it again!

Captain Chill and First Mate Bailey were incredible! I loved learning about San Diegos past, present, and future with them. Bailey was hilarious with her jokes and Chills driving/sailing even soothed by baby to sleep. Highly recommend! Tip: try sitting in the middle of the boat - it is the best view!

I would 100% recommend to anyone. It was very nice, especially on the water. We had Captain Cowboy and 1st Mate Charlie, man all I can say is Charlie knew his information, we learned a lot from him. He even offered to take your families photos multiple times, which is nice. They’re good at what they do. My family and I enjoyed it.

I had the pleasure of riding with Cap Justine and 1st mate mermaid.Mermaid was entertaining enjoyable and informative I really appreciate it how she made the tour fun and even gave us pause time to just enjoy the scenery with musik in the background. She even offered to take pictures of everyone one by one. It was an enjoyable experience. I learned a lot. I also really appreciate Captain Justine making sure that we all went to and fro safely. Overall I would definitely recommend it was a nice plus adding to my visit to San Diego. Even if I didnt see any seals just to see the Open water would have been enough for me.

Great tour, both gents were great, Michael was the driver and Brett was the tour guide. Absolutely brilliant. A must do and see tour. Great insight into San Diego throughout the tour and seeing the Seals was great. Loved it!

The Seal tour was amazing! Bailey was fantastic and kept the whole boat laughing the entire journey. We were in San Diego for a work meeting and booked the tour as our corporate outing. We not only saw sea lions, but also saw dolphins! Everyone on our team loved the experience and had great fun. Would highly recommend San Diego Seal Tours if you are traveling in the area.

We loved the adventure with Charlie and Justine. We were able to see sea lions and luckily some dolphins! We learned a lot with Charlie as he gave us a lot of interesting facts and history.

We thoroughly enjoyed the seal tour. Just the right size for us which added flavor to excellent hospitality. Love how you can drive the boat right in the water. The staff was great capt Mike is a seasoned veteran and Amy 1st mate is incredible she makes the tour. We would recommend everyone take this tour.

The tour was fun and definitely worth paying for. Captain Cowboy and Tour guide Scotty were kind people. They gave us a lot of information about the sea animals, aircrafts and the neighborhood. There is also a paid public car parking area at the North Marina park. The tour was 90 minutes long on an amphibious bus.

Captain Mike was so Informative and he was a really amazing driver, got us right up next to the sea lions! Will definitely recommend to all my friends!

This was an amazing experience!! What an unforgettable experience!!! If youre in the San Diego area, this tour is a MUST. It is very informative, fun, and full of energy and positive vibes. Cowboy and Mermaid (your guides along this tripgo above and beyond to give you the best experience. I also prefer this over Sea World. Here, you get to see wildlife happily in their natural habitat. This is a more ethical and organic practice!

Weve been taking the tour for years as a family and this years tour was just as great as all the other times weve been. Captain Fozii and First Mate Bailey were great tour guides. We always learn something new or see something we havent seen the many times before. Its such an awesome tour and is always, ALWAYS part of our summer trip itinerary. Amazing tour in a hydra terra amphibious vehicle! We toured around the San Diego bay area, learned some of its history, and then we went into the bay where we saw Sea Lions and dolphins. The best was the tour guide, Mermaid, and the captain, Michael. Mermaid was honestly the best tour guide Ive seen - big personality, super fun and personable, and very knowledgeable and passionate about San Diego and its aquatic surroundings. Really an A+ experience!

Incredible experience! People are very friendly and share there knowledge of San Diego. Its a strange feeling riding in a bus that turns into a boat, but so worth it. Got to see some dolphins too!

Awesome land and water tour on a cool bus/boat. Its only about 90 minutes, but that was perfect for us. We got a lot of good information and saw some wonderful sights around Point Loma and the surrounding areas.

AMAZING. Super cool. Came to visit my cousin and decided last minute and they squeezed us on. Micheal the captain did a great job and got us super close to the sea lions and handled the boat like a boss! and Bailey the first mate was HILARIOUS!! So funny and so sweet. My cousin and I ended up talking with Bailey for an extra 15 minutes. 10/10!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cowboy(Captainand Lt. Dan(1st Matewere great during our tour. Solid local excursion for visitors, but also for locals, who want to explore a bit of San Diego, the harbor and learn about the local history. The tour was entertaining, educational and an overall good experience for my family(myself, my wife and our 2 young boys; 6 & 9).

One of the first thing you should do when visiting San Diego. You get a good overview of everything San Diego and learn about its history through land and water. Our captain was Cowboy and 1st mate Charlie. Charlie is amazing and has a thorough knowledge of San Diego. He gives you a full overview of San Diego during the trip. Both Charlie and Cowboy are very friendly and makes your trip a fun trip. We saw sea lions and warships during the trip. Trip lasts close to 90 mins. Parking is available in many lots and they can give you a discount or may validate it for you.

Lots of interesting info about the area. Today we were blessed and had the luck of seeing sea lions and a dolphin. Our tour guide was fun and our captain was chill. Would go again.

Great experience, one of the must-do things in San Diego! 1.5 hour tour, starting with the drive over to Shelter Island, than taking to the water with a cruise through the bay. Danney and Bailey were entertaining hosts! I recommend morning tours, as there seems to be more activity in the harbor and on the naval base. We got to see plenty of helicopters and planes taking off and landing at North Island, SEAL training crews, fishing boats unloading with all the related sea lion and pelican activity, who are trying to get a dropped fish here and there. A couple of destroyers coming in, and a parked submarine from up close were cool too.

Had a great time. Micheal and Sammy were excellent hosts. Fun afternoon. Get your tickets off of fun ex before you go. Arrive WELL before your time to depart!!!! Parking is awful, lets just be real. There is not enough of it. You must arrive at least 15 mins prior to your departure time to check in. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FILL OUT THE COMMENT CARDS AT THE END OF YOUR TRIP AND DROP A COUPLE BUCKS IN THE TIP JAR

Really enjoyed my seal tour with Captain Chill and First Mate Sammy. I was visiting from the UK and didn’t know much about San Diego. Sammy was very knowledgeable and made the tour really fun. We saw lots of sealions too which made it even better. I would highly recommend doing this tour.

Captain Chill and Bailey were amazing! The tour was great full of jokes and interesting facts about the area. Loved it!

We missed our original departure time but a later time was arranged for us - great customer service. As for the boat trip - we had a really nice time. Thanks to Captain Cowboy and (the slightly madMermaid, his first mate.

A fun time geared towards children but fun for all ages. I wish we would’ve spent a little more time seeing the seals and seal lions, but I understand it takes awhile to get out into the bay. The staff does a great job sharing history and keeping everyone entertained during the less interesting parts of the journey.

Lt. Dan and Cpt. Frank were friendly, informative and funny. We were curious how the vehicle works and really had fun in it. Along with the sea life we also saw a huge military ship escorted out as it departed, as well as all of the landmarks along the route. Definitely would recommend this activity, and would go out with them again.

Captain Fozii and Mermaid were AWESOME!!!! We were in town for one day and needed something to do. Rather than driving around and trying to find something we decided to do the Seal Tour. We are incredibly happy that we did!!! It was one of the most amazing days we have had in a long time! Not only was the tour informative but it was so much fun. Mermaid has such a great upbeat attitude and can really work the crowd. She was helpful by taking pictures for you and getting in the pics with you too. My wife and I walked away in such a great mood. Literally just a great experience all around. I recommend this trip as much as I can possibly recommend it.

My Aunts were visiting from Hawaii and we decided to do the Seal Tour on a Monday. We basically had the whole tour to ourselves. Its lively and entertaining but also educational to learn about the historic facts around San Diego And although seal/ sea lion sightings arent guaranteed we saw a bunch! The photo opportunities were plenty! I highly recommend it whether youre visiting or living in SD. Great for families with kids too!

Our group absolutely loved our tour! Our captain and his helper Mermaid provided a great experience as we drove through the streets and sailed through the water. We got to see a lot of sea lions on the tour too which was pretty awesome.Edit: I attached some really cool videos I took while on the trip.

Captain Johnny and First Mate Amy made this a great tour! This is an excellent way to see a lot of stuff you wouldn’t get to see on other tours. Things like the Bait Barge, the Marine Corps and Coast Guard operations, and even some Navy dolphins if you’re lucky. We saw sea lions and a lot of great architecture. Highly recommend this tour, and this crew!

A wonderful Tour of the Gorgeous San Diego Bay. We had a great Captain and First Mate. Brett made the ride fun, lots of interesting information on the history behind the buildings, the military and the landmarks. I enjoyed it and recommend it highly.

Its good experience than you expected this. Tour are nice and cool. I want make sure you know that when you buy tickets online then come by ticket center give you number that order. So come early then you can pick the seat any where.

This was a fun short tour for the family to take. We couldnt make this work in the evenings while on a workcation in SD so we decided to do it first thing on a Sunday before we headed for a long car ride home. Check in was simple we left out of seaport village! Cute little area. We went in July and got there before 10am did not have any issue finding parking. We were early and got to see the tour before us head out, I can definitely say the tour guides have very different personalities, and we were very pleased to get Justine & Adam. They seat by order of arrival so get there early if you have a large group and dont want to break up. Masks were required through the city and coule be removed on water, but we as a family are staying masked to help protect our youngest who has not been able to be vaccinated due to age and allergies. They do a tour through the city on the way to the piers and then hit the water! The seals on our day were minimal but the kids were happy. We liked seeing all the fisherman working where the seals hang out and nap! All the historical monuments and military history along the way was very interesting. Definitely a great addition to the end of our mini vacation. We went with kids ages 6-14 and each one had some point of the tour they enjoyed!

The check-in process is a maelstrom of disorganization. They tell you to be there 30 minutes before your tour starts, but an hour would be better. We stood in line behind a couple, and when they were done, went to check in. "Excuse me, honey," (because thats what you call your female customers), "but youll have to wait back here." I was sent to wait behind the sign about 6 feet from the ticket booth like a naughty little girl who had misbehaved. There was no reason given, and I saw no one in front of us or behind us who were required to do this. We checked in, and were told to wait to the west of the ticket booth, and they would board soon.As soon as our car-boat arrived, we expected to board. We were wrong. The captain, Eric, and his first mate, Bret, went around chatting with those in line for about 10 minutes. Mind you, they only have 15 minutes between each tour. At around 10:25 (we were on the 10:30 tour), they began to give us instructions. Im not sure why this couldnt have been done in the 10 minutes prior, but theres a lot about this tour company that just doesnt make sense. If youre wondering how you can board 40+ people in 5 minutes, the answer is: you cant.This is a tour for extroverts: all flash and no substance. To give you an idea of the people taking this tour, let me paint a picture: the woman in front of us was chain-smoking the entire time we were waiting, exhaling out her nostrils, treating her 3 kids as well as the rest of us to her near-constant second-hand smoke. Then you had a family of 4 who attempted to cut in line only to be thwarted by the fact that the father had lost one of their tickets and had to go look for it. The woman who sat across the aisle from us mindlessly laughed at all of the first mates lame jokes the 90-minute ride.You get to see sea lions AND the first mate does go around and snap photos of everyone, their kids, and their family with the guests cell phone, which is nice, and really, the only 2 things that saved this tour and earned it 3 stars; otherwise, it would have been one.

I HIGHLY recommend any and all of the San Diego Old Town Trolley tours! Always such helpful service, so much great info to learn, and always entertaining delivery from the many talented tour guides there! The SEAL tour was great if you want to get out on the bay! Most of the tour was in the bay and, therefore, most of the historical information we learned was military related. Saw lots of ships and enjoyed learning what they were for. We saw seals too and learned a lot about the marine mammal training program too! The tour guide was so friendly and fun and went around offering to take pictures for everyone. 5/5 recommend!

If I could give this place more than five stars I would amazing customer service let me tell you our tour guide Amy was just like perfect super awesome it was great for the kids she was so interactive with them it was awesome and not only did we see seals but we saw dolphins and a military helicopter and a couple of ships and let me tell you these people know their stuff they know exactly what everything is it was so informative we had an hour on the water and about half an hour on the road and even when youre on the road they knew everything! I am so glad that we booked this tour this is the best one out of all the tours Ive been on here! An absolute must if you have kids! They even had blankets for when we got cold!
