Sam´s Steakhouse in Linz

Die gegrillten Hühnerspieße waren leider nicht gegrillt. Das Fleisch war noch fast Roh. Das ist bei Geflügel ein absolutes NoGo. Bei einem Soda Zitrone wird einen sogar der Zitronensaft mit berechnet. Geschwindigkeit der Zubereitung und Freundlichkeit des Personals könnte auch besser sein.

This was one of the most upsetting experiences I have ever had. We were told they normally they only served reservations but that today it would be okay dispute having 5 tables empty without cards. Ordered drinks told well there’s nothing left in the menu and kids sizes were the same as adults. 50 mins after ordering drinks they brought out 5 plates of food for the kids under cooked and then gave us a hard time about how the meat was cooked and that a little pink in the chicken was okay. Don’t not go unless you like wasting money or chancing food poising.

Die Preise sind für die Leistung viel zu hoch und der Kellner im Innenhof war die ganze Zeit nur am Handy, hatte offensichtlich keine Lust heute.Schade eigentlich, ich kenne das El Greco von Zeiten vor der Pandemie, da hat alles gepasst.

Hat uns gut gefallen. Man sitzt sehr s hin draussen. Service ist prompt und Speisen tadellos.

Leider hatten alle 3 Personen, die die Musaka bestellt hatten, danach die ganze Nacht über mit Magenbeschwerden zu kämpfen. Die Musaka kam zudem im Kern noch kühlschrankkalt zu Tisch und entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen, wie eine Musaka auszusehen und zu schmecken hat (kaum Kartoffeln, in Tomatensauce ertränkt).Positiv ist sicherlich die tolle Location am Hauptplatz und das sehr freundliche Personal, allerdings kann ich angesichts der Magenschmerzen leider nicht mehr als einen Punkt geben und werde das Lokal künftig meiden und nicht weiterempfehlen.

In short: the food was really good 8/10, but the service has space for improvement 5/10.THE GOOD:We really loved to tempura cauliflower as a starter and also the gnocchi and octopus as a main were prepared to a high standard. About what one would expect for the slightly elevated price level.THE NOT SO GOOD:Service was a bit slow and inattentive. Just always long enough for us to ask.. is he still coming? Oh and lastly, there were only few vegetarian options, which some might have appreciated more of.

We dined here just last night! This place is AMAZING! It is quite rare to find a place where the food matches the service!!! Those waitresses and waiters were sooo professional and went out of their way for me, my husband and his friends from work! It was just such a delight! Great place! If ever you are in Linz and are looking for a great Greek experience i highly recommend it. Youll love it!

had dinner with business friends and was rather disappointed. i dont think the interior is cosy, it reminds me more of a tavern. the service was - to put it mildly - factual, but it didnt really answer our questions about ingredients. the food itself was average. in a house of this price range i expect that a medium rare ordered steak isnt medium well. in the usa, every semi-skilled chef at TGI fridays can do that better. in sum, its very average - also in terms of the performance of the kitchen and the just bearable waiting times. the prices are too high for whats on offer and i dont understand why this place is so hyped.

The waiter dismissed our order twice. Firstly, he forgot about the juice. Then, we reminded him about souvlaki. The food is tasty but I cant say its real Greek. The prices are good tho.

Unfortunately have to lower my rating from earlier. Seems there is a new chef now.The Tiropitas were awfully cold on the inside, they also no longer come with the Tzatziki side.We had the Putenschnitzel with Rahmsauce like we always do. The amount of rice has been drastically reduced, it was also a bit sticky and lacked any flavor. The potato cubes side is gone (even though its written on the menuand now replaced with a sauteed vegetable side that also lacked any seasoning. Felt more like the kind of veggies you get at a hospital.Used to be one of our favourite places in Linz but now I am not sure if well go again.

Lunch with a friend. I highly recommend the Austrian rib-eye and green beans with bacon, braised onions and wedges with sour cream

I ordered Sams Steaks salad, I asked to make it well-done. It was surprisingly great! Very tasty, the meat was fine, not dry at all. That is so uncommon to get well-done meat which is juicy! I would definitely come back. There are fantastic sides! But meat is the best in the city!

The food was exceptionally good, excellent steaks and very tasty sides. The outside area is such a nice place to be on a warm summer day.We had a ribeye steak and surf & turf, and both entrées were prepared perfectly (we love rare steaks). The sides were really tatsty, especially the polenta was awesome and so was the spinach risotto that came with the surf & turf.The only reason that I cant give 5 starts is that service was slow (though very friendlyand we waited more than 1 hour for the food.77

Wonderful service great atmosphere. I ordered the Ribeye steak it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. The prices were very reasonable I would definitely return.

This is the best steak house I’ve ever been to in Europe. I am an American and have traveled to Europe on vacation and to visit family many times. I usually enjoy all the great local dishes. One thing I don’t usually order in Germany or Austria is Steak. This steakhouse is definitely comparable to the best steak houses in the USA. I had a 11-12 oz tenderloin and it was cooked perfectly. I assume it was aged before cooking because it was tender. I also enjoyed a shrimp cocktail and some really good potato wedges with sour cream. If your traveling and you want a great American meal with authentic Austrian atmosphere and good Beer. Give this place a try you will be happy.

Not yummy, overpriced

Coming from Greek background, hands down, this was the WORST Greek food I ate in my life!STAY AWAY!!!On a top of that it gave me BAD FOOD POISONING.Its a sad parody on Greek food!And its no wonder the restaurant is not run by Greeks. Looks more like money laundry business.

Big cuts only, kinda expensive. Ribeye was good, mixed salad was good, home made low carb dressing.

I have never been to Greece and thus I have never tasted the original Greek food. But being in this restaurant surly make me feel that that is the real thing. Though the best is that when sitting outside the awesome flavors are combined with the incredible view on the main city square of Linz with all its beauty. However do not be disappointed if you have to deal with bad weather since the whole interior is completely new after restoration in 2016.

The food was good, the prices are okay, and the service is also good.

A really bad experience. First at all it looks ok but not great but the food did not taste good and the vegetables seemed to be not fresh but frozen. The worst part is I had "fresh" North Sea fish which, I have to admit wasnt my best idea. But if a restaurant offers fish the fish should be at least so good that you are able to eat it without risking your health. Im not 100% sure if it was the fish there but fact is i spend the whole night after eating this fish in our hotel bathroom. Later a doctor told me that I had a food poisoning of which I am pretty sure was not because of the apples and bread I had before this day. So I might be wrong and the aplle was rotten but thinnk twice before going there.
