Samora Machel Monument and Museum - Museum in Siteki, Swaziland
One of the historical places you can visit to understand the politics in Africa, place clean and best tour guides. Road to the monument is adventurous. You need to have cash for a tour, no speed point, no shop monument it’s a a stand alone in an open field.
Well infomatic hestorical
Was very nice and exciting place to be knowing the history
Experiencing first hand history
The museum is neat and all but its very far from the actual town
Nice place, rich in history however the main entrance (road is too small to accommodate two vehicles. I enjoyed it.
The host is awesome and very welcoming. But The place needs a spaza shop, drinks and snacks

Service from the tour guide and staff was excellent place was clean
Enjoyed every second. Definitely made me think..
Informative tour guide. The only missing thing is Speedpoint for entry fees
The tour guide is friendly and can explain what happened with somara Machel very well the place has got nice toilets .the plane remainings are well protected
The physical visit to the monument contextualizes the written history. It is an emotional experience, however it is good to know history and our relations with other nations.
Well arranged and rich information about the history of Samora Machel and the plane crash
Very interesting place
Interesting museum - well worth the trip. Gives a good glimpse of Mozambique as South Africa’s neighbouring country and the influence it had on bringing down apartheid. Being around the debris of the plane makes all the book knowledge very tangible.
ITS A WONDERFUL PLACE AND THE STAFF ARE SO WELCOMING, THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR GENEROUS HOSPITALITY ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🙏
Very emotional place following the cruelty of apartheid government that coursed the death of the neighboring countries president.
It was very emotional. So sad how the apartheid treated people. Lives didnt matter to them
Not only a beautiful site, even the tour guides are good
The visit worth it. The place is full of emotions but the experience worth it
Please help people, is the place open weekends? i tried to call the number on wiki but it says the number doesnt exist
Great hestorical place
Great place to visit to get inspiration while learning about history of South Africa & Mozambique.
The tragedy that happened in Mbuzini during Samora Machel plain crush is very painful...
Interesting place. Very earie...but South Africa has a lot of heros who have not been honoured... Machel was not South African...However, the flutes outside are impressive. Glad I visited eventually.
Great place for touring they teach everything about the death of Samora Machel and the crushing of aeroplane
First hand information on what transpired on that fateful day. Very sad details which left us emotional. A friendly, knowledgeable tour guide, the museum itself is very clean and well preserved. I wish our people could visit the museum so as to learn about where we come from as a nation, as well as to pay homage to this Martyr...
Informative, leaves you to draw your own conclusions based on the information shared with you.
This a Monument that was declared a national heritage site in 2006. The monument is located on the Northern part of Mpumalanga Province, less than 850 meters to border fence of Kingdom of Eswatini and less than 2km to the border fence line of Mozambique 🇲🇿.As this monument is located on top of the Libombo mountains in Mbuzini Village you are able to see a View of South Africa, Mozambique and Kingdom of Eswatini. Why a 5 star riview? Samora Machel was not South African, yet he played a huge role in the South African liberation. The tour guides are friendly and informative. The monument is kept clean. I believe the Department of toursim should invest in it more in terms of maintaining the place and advertising it.
Helpful tourguide, taking all questions an a professional way.For improvement: security need to be visible outside the area instead of locking themselves in the rooms.
Beautiful but sad history
A special place. And the calmness of the staff.
Great place, amazing tour guide. Amazing art. The museum is well organized and informative
Its a crash site and some of the pieces of his place are scattered outside
I enjoyed this place it is a great place that is safe, excellent mountain views with well experienced staff especially the tour guide that we met he has a good personality he knows the full story about the history of of Samora Mashele, the monument is clean, large vivid pictures inside the museum, I give this place five stars
Good place to visit and learn about the death of samora machel
Very comprehensive info inside e museum. Nice friendly tour guide with extensive knowledge on Samora Machel. Sureal place for sure. A must visit.
The staff there are friendly and very informative about the story of samora, but the toilets were not so clean.
A unique museum and monument to this event place of Mozambique and South African history. The roads are very good to the monument/museum. It is remote but worth the trip. There is no food etc at the museum so stock up before you go but plenty of clean toilets.
First time visit, welcoming tour guide passionate and friendly.Enjoyed excellent serviceThank you Bonginkosi for the courtesy
Our guide Raymond very knowledgeable and impressive. An emotional, moving location. Every Mozambiquen school child should visit to learn about Samora Machel & African Liberation. Dont miss it.
Rather utilitarian building that needs maintenance. Interesting displays. I liked the artworks made from the wreckage of the plane on the lower level. The entrance fee is a nominal R10 per person. The site is wonderful with superb views and atmospheric sounds made by cuts in the upright pipes. It is quite a drive to get there, but it is through lovely countryside.
Say no more this place is really amazing
It was very insightful, I learnt a lot about the history and the relation between the late former President Samora and the ANC and why his muesum is in South Africa. The museum is a beautiful place.
Good place to visit to know information about samora
Very sad history but informative
The place is very good, staff very friendly and patient. The tour guides are very proffesional and know their job very well. The only problem is only the road to the place is a one road fitting only one car at a time.
If you love history , its a must see
Thats a historical place and I would like to encourage people to visit there.
