Easygoing cafe open from breakfast, with Med-inspired menus including tapas and an organic burger.
Delicious brunch spot in Bath! Really recommend the beef toasted sandwhich and the picante eggs !
Excellent breakfast and such a cute place with local art. The staff were really nice and friendly. Would go back
Found by chance, full English ok, I had a vegan breakfast tasty came with toast as I cannot eat bread asked if I could substitute bread for a hash brown and they couldnt oblige that was a let down but service ok came with coffee £20 for 2 breakfast so not cheap, but it is a tourist town and to be expected, wouldnt go back.
Came in a bunch of times for breakfast. All delicious with great coffee and friendly service. Bath is beautiful, but a lot of the restaurants are chains. Its great to find a little brilliant place that is not!
Amazing full English and the hash brown is a must add on. Great place for coffee and breakfast/brunch
My partner and I come to Same Same But Different every week (without failfor brunch and we just love it. The service is excellent, everyone is so friendly. The food is really delicious - great portion sizes and price, plus lots of choice. A lot of brunch spots can be a bit overhyped/ all style and no substance, and this place is the complete opposite. Couldnt recommend more if we tried!
Stumbled upon this while hunting for breakfast. It was busy and when you eat you realise why! The food was excellent, the staff were amazing, and the service tip top. A massive plus was ordering a pot of tea and getting enough tea for 6 cups. The prices were also very reasonable. Would seek this out if in Bath again.
Fantastic breakfast/brunch!!
What a brilliant place for food. This is probably our 10th visit and on all of those occasions the food has been brilliant. We have to order gluten free and its catered for really well. The service is always with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Cant wait until our next visit to Bath.
A really nice small cafe which made an amazing breakfast. I will definitely be visiting this place again the next time I visit Bath.
Went there for brunch, have to say it was delicious! I think I had the same same picante.. wasnt quite sure what to expect but really tasty.
Our favourite place for breakfast after Saturday morning walk. Highly recommended.
It was fine but nothing special. Nice setting. The food was nice but from the reviews I was expecting more. Our visit was tainted by the almost secretive manner in which a service charge was added without our permission. I wouldnt have tipped as the service wasnt especially good. Wouldnt return but food was fine.
We really enjoyed this little gem of a place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Friendly service and delicious brunch. Well be coming again.
Lovely place for brunch, with well cooked dishes and a nice atmosphere. Five people paid 44 GBP, (including 4 GBP of service charge that we were not pre-warned about), I would estimate 15 per PAX for adults (see menu attached from April 2022). The location is a nice side street. Particularly nice the scrambled eggs with bacon and the 3 poached eggs on toast.
Very relaxing and chill locale. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Personally had the french toast with banana and nutella with scrambled eggs and a hashbrown. That was my first experience with a grilled banana and my goodness Im was floored. The hashbrown wasnt greasy like Im accustomed to in other places. This place is work checking out without a doubt.
Best coffee Ive had in ages!!! Plus an amazingly tasty breakfast with poached eggs and hollandaise, a new favourite. Thanks!!
Full English is good and they offer a decent vegan version too. Friendly staff, good background music and a chilled atmosphere
Popped in for breakfast and glad we did! I had the scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms and bacon which was outstanding. Other half had the full English which he really enjoyed and said it was the perfect amount and not greasy.Lovely down to earth cafe with friendly staff.
Pleasant looking cafe with outdoor seating. Perfect on a sunny day. OK service but the coffee (a Flat Whitewas terrible, virtually undrinkable so I left more than half. It was bitter, no body and the crema tasted like burnt cigarette ends! Sorry but needs to improve considerably. The food however looked good!
Really good quality food. Huge selection and reasonably priced. Cant fault the staff or food but not the biggest venue and toilets are down a spiral staircase. In terms of location and venue perhaps not for everyone, but well worth the walk if you want something a bit different and are prepared to wait for a table.Much better than a standard breakfast venue.
Scrambled eggs and Smoked Salmon delicious. The juxtaposition of the fluffy eggs and the smoked salmon creating a mouth watering taste. Cooking scrambled eggs that are this good is a real skill and the Chef here has mastered it.Americano also very good. A cosy environment with a whiff of shabby chic and friendly efficient staff rounded off a perfect Brunch to set you up for the day. Recommended.
Lovely breakfast, great coffee, in an cosy space with friendly staff.
Delicious! Highly recommend the Eggs Royale accompanied by a Bloody Mary. Super chilled atmosphere with lovely staff and great portion sizes. Stylish with floor to ceiling glass windows so gorgeous and bright. Worth noting the toilets are down a spiral staircase which may not suit everyone. Also love that they offer a generous vegan option! I will be back!
Nice cafe, friendly service, coffee and tea could be better flavour and hotter when served. Breakfast was nice but a bigger portion size would be better as well as hotter when served.
Enjoyed a very nice fish finger sandwich at lunch time here. Nice ambience about the place and the food and drink was good. Spoilt a little by the owner (or managerharanguing the young waitress about a dental appointment that she had booked and which would ruin his staff rota.
Delicious vegan breakfast. Good coffee. Nice seating. All you could want for a chilled brunch.
Pretty poor experience considering the reviews. A vist with just my wife and i. Told no space but 2 tables free. Once pointing this out, they showed us to a table. Was asked what toast i wanted and was then given wrong toast. My wife had the vegetarian breakfast, the haloumi was missed off. I asked to swap the black pudding for a hash brown. I was then charged for the hash brown at the end, £2.50 for 1 very small hash brown! The hash brown was a sort of small deep fried patty with virtually no potato in. Portion size pretty small. Two coffees and two breakfasts came to £38 with tip. Staff were pleasant but overall would definitely NOT recommend. Expensive with a very poor experience.
Yummy but in my opinion the portions are a bit small
Best scrambled egg on toast Ive ever had!! Polite, friendly and very helpful staff, nice atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again!!
Some of the worst food Ive ever been served. Greasy and inedible. The hash browns were deep fried balls of batter, I couldnt even find any potato in them. The staff and the atmosphere were nice but couldnt save from the greasy dated grim food
Very nice cafe specialising in breakfasts that are a bit different to what you usually have. The granola with Greek yoghurt was delicious. Lovely passion fruit, orange, and banana included.
Absolutely loved the English breakfast. About the tea, it was tasting ultra light. The brown bread could have been soft.
Tasty brunch, had the vegetarian full English which was all so tasty, especially loved the fact they used proper bread for the toast, from a baker! Small place but efficiently run.
Great place for coffee and breakfast ( or breakfast and coffee, depending on your order of preference). Super friendly service and the food was great. I really hope they can find some more front of house staff, as they were (rightlyrushed off their feet by the hordes after a table...
Lovely little place, good coffee and sandwiches servedStaff member was very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.Note of caution. Small spiral staircase down to the toilets
After a long walk around bath we stopped at this vibrant cafe. Enjoyed an excellent full English and excellent coffee, two actually, as were offered a top up. James (i thinkwho served us radiated positive energy, a fantastic thing in the current challenging climate. Well recommended and hope to revisit.
Really friendly waitress and delicious food! Exactly what we were after. Thank you ☺️
Went here for breakfast on a sunday morning, fabulous, highly recommend, possibly the best cooked breakfast Ive had in a long time!!
had some tapas here while staying in Bath at the end of September. The deal was 3 tapas and a glass of wine for £16. I must say the food was first class, every dish we had was so flavoursome, some of the tastiest dishes you could wish for. Id advise anyone to spend a nice relaxing early evening here, take your time and savour every mouthful. Friendly service too I might add.
Lovely little café with friendly staff, easygoing with children. Dont drink too many cocktails or the clunky stairs to go down to the toilet will become your worst enemy.
A nice and casual atmosphere. The food is very decent but nothing special. My favourite was parsnip and honey soup. Cannot really remember anything else I had, which is saying something . The most disappointing thing was a dessert. I know the place is called Same Same but Different but serving ice-cream with raw apples is DEFINITELY a big no-no.(or perhaps too "different" for my taste). Overall, the evening was very pleasant but the food was only average hence the rating of 3- stars.
I would vote them with fantastic 5 stars!Smoked Haddock Kedgeree with fried duck egg and Confit Pork, Chorizo and Cider Lentils were both excellent!
Definitely worth the trip for a coffee. Solid Americano. Also enjoyed a very affordable full English breakfast. Very charming interior with some Spanish flare.
Wonderful food and service. They have a great brunch menu
Enjoyed our quick stop!We (2 adults, 1 5yostopped for a drink and snack mid afternoon on a hot August day whilst visiting Bath.My wife and I were perfectly satisfied with our lovely cold beer and wine and delicious olives.Theres nothing for kids as such (no kids menubut we did get scrambled eggs with toast which was very tasty.Service was very friendly. We didnt time it right to try the tapas, maybe another time!
Foods great and teas great! Nuff said. However sounds do echo strongly in this old building, so if another group come in and talk loudly it can be a struggle to hear the other person youre with. Adds to the character I guess.
Went for Sunday morning breakfast and it soon fills to capacity just after 10am. Good food, nicely presented.
Small cafe tasty food. Ordered the full English which comes with unlimited tea or coffee and toast so was a bit surprised it came with one slice to start. Just a little moan. Was a nice breakfast tho.
Excellent service and great food. The staff and chef are so nice and friendly. My baby enjoyed the steak a lot and the tapas are delicious. We felt just like having tapas in Spain. Highly recommended and we definitely will return next time in Bath.
