Samaky Restaurant and Lounge - Restaurant in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Yummy and not expensive too much..Very nice staff. We go there often...For lunch or dinner...Big choices of meats and fishes..Good!!!
Overall its a good inexpensive place most popular with Western expats, tourists and some Khmer. Good selection of drinks but no Hanuaman Black which is one of the better local beers in Cambodia in my opinion. The food used to be good but lately I have found it a bit lacking in flavour, portion size, and, quality. Almost everything is fried and the pizzas are comparitively expensive for the quality served. Still its a decent place to hangout with friends the staff are friendly and its decently priced.
Great food, reasonable prices, great service. Not fancy, but well worth a visit for the food. My personal favorites are the build your own salad and the green curry. The chocolate banana spring rolls for dessert are a must!
Great place to get out of the heat and have a few beers... Served ice cold.. Very cheap with excellent welcoming service... Kudos on the staff from bartender to servers for checking on patron to see if they wanted further drinks
I took bolognese. There were more meat than spaghetti. Im not kidding. The taste was not excellent, not bad.
Good food. Good service.
If you want a really cheap meal, go here. If you want something that tastes good, donβt go here. The food was so bad
Friendly staff and its a nice spot for a few beers. The nuts are delicious too. Cant comment on the food as I didnt eat there but it looked delicious.
Nice place to sit, relax, have a beer and a feed. Food is reasonably good.
Me and my customers from Australia π¦πΊ always He chooses the foods at this restaurant nice clean πI will recommend to you if you need a good foods.ThanksSam Sophun
Good food and service at reasonable prices.
Nice place to catch up with friends. Pretty busy in evenings
Fun little place, very friendly peopleπ good service, super clean. The owner, also super friendly, is always here so everyone is on their toes!
I love the seafood wonton and dumplings there. Reasonable price. Good place to chill after work.
Service is not to good because they alway look to me like a homeless person π
Good simple dishes, loved the salad selection and fried chicken wings.
Food was good and delicious. I tried the fish amok and Cambodian curry chicken. Both tasty and delicious. Well worth.
Nice cozy Restaurant with good Prices , fresh Food and friendly staff
friendly staff and good food
Great selection of international menu.
Great little budget option near Wat Lanka. Fried noodles, fried rice, dumplings, and fruit shakes were all top notch! Definitely worth a visit if youβre in the neighborhood.
Great food, environment, and value!
Really great food. Highly recommended.
A great selection of food and drink. Friendly staff.
The food is much better than one would expect for the budget prices. The let down is the budget price wine by the glass which is consistently awful.
Good all around restaurant! I usually get the salad and the photo! Cant go wrong for $5 dollar.
They have a good variety of food both local and western. Real value for money. Quality of the food has always been good. If we want to change things in the dish for a different item. They oblige.
Great place for drinks and food. They are decently priced and their create your own salad is amazing for only 5$.
Still pretty good but gone down imho. Friendly service and ok food but it used to be better. Blt sandwich is now served in some rock hard hipster bread with pink sauce. Fresh spring rolls are no longer served whole but cut into pieces, kind of fiddly.
The place and the food were ok. The service wasnt that good, a bit slow even thou quiet. It was expensive for what is was too.
Nice food, good beer, pleasant atmosphere before the street gets busy. Nice place for a catch up or pre drinks and food if youre partying.
A Comedy of ErrorsSunday evening, feeling a little fragile from the night before and in the need of some comfort food. I decide to try a restaurant I had not ordered from before and when I saw that Samaky served stroganoff, it was an easy decision to make. I made my order at 5.40pm via Meal Temple and sat back with a glass of wine looking forward to a nice meal. The order arrived at 6.55pm: ok, the delivery services are busy these days so an extra 15 minutes of waiting is nothing. I eagerly headed to the kitchen to plate the food up. Portion of mashed potato, check. Portion of side salad, check. Portion of fries (hey, I was hungry!), check. Portion of Stroganoff...huh? Yes, they managed to send all the sides but not the main bloody dish!! I call Meal Temple and they say they will call restaurant. 10 minutes later, nothing. I call again. "Sir, have you checked the bag?" Like I am going to miss seeing a portion of stroganoff in a clear plastic bag! Finally at 8.10pm, 2.5 hours after I made the initial order, my stroganoff appears. I would have perhaps had been placated had my food been wonderful, but this was the blandest stroganoff I have eaten in many years. The mashed potato was nice though. Will not be ordering from this place again.
Absolutely brilliant, had the Sunday roast lamb,it was so tender and full of flavour, best tasted lamb and we like are lamb in the UK.
This was our first visit to Cambodia. We ate at Samaky twice while we were here. Nice friendly staff. The food was good and well prepared. Reasonable prices.
Absolutely my favourite go-to restaurant. Good food, value, and a great corner for people & traffic watching.
Awesome happy hour 3-8 $2 cocktails and .75 beer. Food is pretty good and the staff are kind and attentive. Nice location π
Decent food options and cheap drinks, open-air, good for a fast bite and in a crowded hip place full of back-packers and tourists.
Great place to eat western food and beer. Can order non msg meals, staff and friendly and efficient.
Must try harder.Boiled pasta topped with bolognaise sauce does not make a lasagne . It had never seen an oven.
Opposite from Wat Langka. Touristy, but reasonably priced restaurant serving Western and local food. Taste and quality are ok. Good cocktails as well. The chocolate cake dessert was huge, but unfortunately very dry. I still recommend this restaurant for uncomplicated dinners. Attentive staff.
Food place to meet friends, gathering, coffee, drinks and good food π₯³π₯³
Very good food for high prices. Western and Asian style. Huge TV and clear channels.Good, fresh sweet shrimp. Thai soups were great. Western food was satisfying. Decent portions. Catered to Western diners and tourists. Popular hotspot area for bar hopping. Old, cushioned chairs . Live music and high pedestrian activity in area. Nearby major intersections. Close to Aeon Mall 1 and Nagaworld.
Extremely friendly staff who were very professional to replace my order when they mistakenly served me Fish Amok even though I ordered Chicken Amok. Portions were decent, ambience was good. I actually made a second visit too, and their Chicken BBQ Pizza was really good! They also serve drinks and I enjoyed their Blue Margarita.Wouldnt mind another visit if Im back in Phnom Penh again.
If you like a quite moment with your drink or food. Relax after a touristy trip or back from a busy day in office. Or even have a gentle conversation over business this is the place to be. Even if youre a regular, chances are youll not be noticed. Strange isnt it. Thats the beauty of the place. You can even sit and watch the world pass by.
We really liked Samakys. It is a really relaxed place, nice comfortable seating. Service is very good. The cocktails are well made.Their salads are amazing! In fact, all the food we had here was enjoyable. This was actually our go to place in Phnom Penh to relax and eat good food and have great cocktails.Of a weekend, the area is a bit more lively and has a nice atmosphere with street bars selling cocktails strong enough to blow your socks off! Samakys, however, is still chilled.
Decent place at the corner of busy St 51 where you can while away some time, and have a beer and a bite. Even the owner had no idea "Samaki" is Swahili for "Fish"!! ππ
Great local food in a bit more of a comfortable setting. Cheap beer, good food and friendly staff.
Good place to have a drink. Dinner a little bit expensive
Excellent choices on the menu and competitively priced.Staff were friendly and efficient.
All the delicious food you could wish. Excellent and fast service. Great food. Very simple and pleasant atmosphere. Staff is very competent, speak English well, and is super friendly. I highly recommend.
