Food was passable. Staff need to be friendlier. Felt like I was a very unwelcome nusiance. Some delivery guy arguing with someone on the phone as well, and lots of fuss. Calm down, smile, be nice.

Food is absolutely disgusting and I asked for 2 forks when I was in the shop as I was sharing curry chips and they refused to give me a second fork. Definitely wont be giving these any of my business again

Had a takeaway from here and its absolutely fantastic. Delivery within the estimated time and food was perfect. Very big portions aswell. Highly recommend

This place fulfilled my American Hamburger cravings and the oreo milkshake was so good. However, the fries were pretty oily/soggy and the price was a little high to get a meal.

From growing up in leixlip this was all our too go place for chips nothing like Sammy chips but our visit on Sunday it was nearly closing time chips were certainly not up to standard 🙄🙄

Going mad I put an order in at 9.55pm and it came at 11pm. Wth I am going mad here, I called 2 times and each time bernie hung up.on me. They blamed the drivers for there slow service and no offer even of a free drink or discount on my order waiting for an hour just for a snack box and chip baguette. How hard is it to make it. Last time I will order from them. And there attitude on the phone is disgusting, just hangs up. The owner wont give 2 shts about this or care for there loyal local customers. Even after reading this, just hope others will read and be warned, there will be a long wait for there food. Rather order from another place than that long wait. Seriously not even a can of coke for the wait. I felt sorry for the driver its not his fault

Leixlip & Sams have had a longer relationship than most marriages. And for good reason.....A professional, friendly, family business.Great food. Nough said😋A chipper is a must in any town and with Sams all boxes are ticked.

Worse takeaway I have ever visited, portions are tiny and when I asked about the size of the portion I was told to leave the shop. Avoid the takeaway.

Rating this 2 star out of pure frustration. Ordered food, called up the takeaway to make sure that there will be lots of salt and vinegar on the order! The woman clearly didnt listen.. pathetic and so basic! Meal is tasteless..

Whopper food lovely staff getting pricey

32 years Ive grown up in Leixlip and I order Sams twice a week if not more. Usually great food. However, tonight i ordered and waited just about an hour for the food to arrive, 20 minutes over the text message delivery time (some people are late sometimes , fair enough). So I had some decency to call and try and be polite on the phone to ask when i can expect the delivery. I was greeted with an attitude by some woman who told me they were trying to call me for 30 minutes and that the driver was outside. I looked at my phone, no missed calls and i was staring out the window the whole time waiting because i hasnt eaten all day. Absolutely nothing. She then tried to tell me i owned a dog at the house when in fact it was a complete different order she was complaining about but tried to pass it on as mine. So long and behold the food arrives , barely luke warm and hard. 20 quid tonight and 32 years of service to that place and thats the attitude and treatment you get from someone elses mess up. Joke. Wont order from here again .

Will not go back. Food was cold and oily and customer service is done by a Karen and a Ken.Much better options in the area! Be smart, give your money for something or someone that deserves it!

I wouldnt recommend this chipper to anyone! The food is rubbish and they only accept cash in-store (were almost in 2022 and if any business is still only accepting cash, there must be some sinister reason behind it).

Great place, the portions maybe a bit smaller than other chippers but the food is always delicious

For coeliacs/gluten intolerant people Sams do gluten free chips on request and a few other GF items too. We have a coeliac in our family and theyre delighted to have proper chipper chips that are GF. All the non-GF food is also great.

Food was excellent, always is, Ive been going here for over 20 years, deeply disappointed however to find the shop packed during covid, delivery drivers no masks on, patrons no masks on and no gel / sanitiser in the shop, despite the sign about only three in the shop the staff did not enforce the rules or ask for people to put on masks, I left and returned but disapointed, cant rate the food lower however .

Amazing chips and the southern fried chicken is really good, it has a kind of crispy skin but is still juicy underneath.

Great bag of chips, but buy 2 or 3 of them. Meanest portions Ive ever seen. Its a shame because it puts people off the place.

It is exactly what it says on the tin, a nice local traditional chipper. The prices are reasonable the staff is nice the food quality is good. My experience was good.

Best bag of chips in Leixlip. Highly recommend this place for a take out dinner, a quick bite to eat if youre passing through the village or post drinking munchies.

First off Check your order when it arrives. Also pay in cash then when its wrong your not out of pocket. You have no hope of getting your money they have overcharged you for not correctly filling your order. Paul Sheridan the assistant manager will tell you any lie he can think of to get out off refunding customers. We dont have that on the menu even though its clearly on the menu. Thats not the price even though its also clearly on the menu. If the assistant manager doesnt know his menu or the prices he is either not a very good assistant manager or simply lying of course it could easily be both. We wont be ordering from Sams again theres a lot more options around that deliver what the customer orders and doesnt try to cheat them in such petty/desperate ways.

We had a wide selection from the menu and it was all perfectly tasty - a place to recommend in all weathers. Staff very friendly, but this is Leixlip, everyone is!

Good standard of food, a cornerstone of the Leixlip community. Would recommend to anyone in the area and further a field.

Staff were so friendly and the food went down a treat. We would defo recommend it.

Order took over an hour. When I rang to see where it was I was spoken to very rudely and told it would be another 15 mins (Id walk there and back in 15 minsand when it arrived the food was luke warm and all just lumped into the bag. Tip: Use cash so you can refuse the order when it shows up 20 mins late!

Best chip shop in the area. Lovely fresh chips and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

This is the worst chipper I’ve ever been in, aside from the fact they are rude and short changed me twice, they are false advertising and over charging for bad food!No comparison to the other chipper on the hill.

Worst take away ever! Chicken Kebab? This is frozen chicken breast piece in pita with ketchup, mayo and lettuce. We stopped on the way home to Galway. Wish we stayed in the car and drove off home... worst €14 spent ever... :/

Best local takeaway in village leixlip.Massive chickens on snack box .Friendly staff , you could either eat it inside or bring it back home . They’re chips are massive and very tasty too. I think it’s there own chips made that’s why it’s yummy . Busy at weekends so if you have loads of money delivery is good , but trying to save and prefer collection . You could just ring them and pick it up handy too.

The worst takeaway Ive ever had. microwaved kebabs. Small stale bread and no sauce. No extra chips with anything. Horrible customer service. Honesty dont know how they are in business

Over priced and reheated. Got a chicken wrap about 3 pieces of chicken which were soggy and lukewarm. Had good expectations but was disappointed

Slow service every time Im in. Phoned ahead for a burger and 3 chips and its 25minutes. Small enough portions.
