Italian-Spanish spot in a wood & brick setting offers various wines & tapas, other small plates.
Really nice place with great food.
So good!!!! Me and my gfs always come here to gossip and enjoy! Amazing atmosphere, strong drinks and delicious boards 💕
Brian and Nico were excellent bartenders, loved this place. They went out of their way to make sure my party and I were happy, they were very knowledgeable about all their selections of wine. They even went out of their way offering us different selections of wines to make sure all of our tastes were met accordingly. They were truly amazing. The food and wine was spectacular. I will definitely be back again!!!
great wine bar with some delicious tapas items.
This place was delicious and a perfect dinner. Not only the charcuterie boards, but you must try some of their small plates, wow! We especially enjoyed the bocadillo bites, oyster mushrooms, and shrimp and grits.
Last night we had a 40th birthday party at Salumi. Everything was simply perfect. The evening flowed with such ease. Each and every course was mouthwatering, and the wine pairings were flawless. Many thanks to Lilly for guiding us through organizing such a joyous and memorable evening!
If you need a nice date place that is intimate, cozy with good food and wine, this would be the place to go.
This place is amazing! Nice ambiance, incredible beer selection and the food is absolutely amazing! Our server Kristi was the best!
get the italian board, grilled octopus and lamb! and put fig jam on the lamb! seriously one of the best meals i’ve had in a long time
This place had a vast menu of tapas and wine. The staff are all very knowledgeable on the dishes and what is good to pair together.

So good.Update April 2022Still the greatest! bartenders are knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Great place for date, conversation and the food and drinks are top notch. Always a great time!Update: July 2020: Been back three times since re opened after covid closure. Food still awesome. Service top notch. Try the mushrooms.....they were amazing. Cocktails still made to perfection. You seriously cannot go wrong with anything at Salumi. By far, my wife and Is favorite spot.Update February 2022:Still on of the best date night restaurants. love the bar, cocktails and beer selection. the wines are amazing but the best is the menu. it changes and is so good. we make our own cheese board and always have a dish or two. the desserts are great and the service is always top notch! you cannot go wrong with any of there food and there is always something new to try!
Service was good, food was great must go back.
Always a great selection of food and drinks. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
High quality food and really nice service. The best traditional cappuccino Ive had.
I have been to this spot many times, but I have never been for a brunch. You walk in and it smells wonderful. Its very inviting and comfortable. The menu had so much to offer. Different and intriguing. I went with my sister and we had the tastiest breakfast Ive ever had outside my own kitchen. Staff was great. Attentive and informative. Coming from the hospitality business myself, it was greatly appreciated. Drinks were refreshing and delicious. I 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone!!
Great “not a sport bar” place for night out, they have perfect food for any drinks you order.
Food was exceptional, service with a smile. Will definitely come back.
Went there a few weeks ago and the tapas and cheese board aware amazing. Great drinks and wine selection. Try the orchid cocktail for a fruity youre in a tropical island feel. Since my first visit, already visited again.
Went because I saw an octopus dish on line. Disappointed that they have a limited lunch menu that doesnt include it. Got smoked salmon and cheese sandwich, was very good.
Delicious fresh flavorful food. Great for breakfast too! Service is great.
Amazing atmosphere and attentive staff. Amazing menu for tapas. A total gem. Usually crowded.
Salumi is one of Massapequa‘s hidden treasures. Their boards are incredibly curated, their wine selection is extensive and has something for everyone, and you can’t go wrong with any of their large or small plates. Be it brunch, lunch from the sandwich counter (I recommend the Roma), or dinner, Salumi is always a great choice. Ps you MUST try the chocolate dip dessert.
Meat boards are really good and you can customize them any way you like. Theyre very accommodating about that. The waitress knew the menu well and was able to give detailed answers when we had questions.
This place is amazing! Went there for brunch on a Saturday and basically had the whole place to ourselves. The food was delicious and the iced coffee had COFFEE ICE CUBES!! Highly recommend giving this place a try.The aesthetic was adorable and I still can’t atop thinking about the mason jar light fixtures. So cute!! 😍The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the prices- a bit high for small portions that don’t fully fill you up. But still worth going once in a while to treat yourself!!
My wife and son love this place, but for me it was only so so. Staff was great and the place looks fine. We went for food, so I cant comment on the drinks/bar. I thought much of what we had suffered from a heavy hand with the salt. I like properly seasoned food, but this seemed more to be a case of salt being added as a finish. The shrimp and grits suffered from salty shrimp while the grits which were more butter than grits were great. The pork belly sandwich was fine with good bread except the pork belly itself was overly salted. The steak was the one dish that wasnt heavily salted and was cooked perfectly. I was a bit disappointed in the place after how much my family has sold it, but I think that has more to do with my particular tastes. I would still recommend it to anyone who enjoys tapas or is curious about it.
Awesome food. The Italian board was yum nummy!!!
A very nice romantic place. Came here the day before Valentines Day with my partner and we both enjoyed the food. They have a nice wine selection, the staff is nice, and the food tastes fresh and high quality. Price tag is a little high so for two people expect to pay about $70-$80 with a couple drinks. That said this is a great date spot so if you want to splurge and have a nice date then this place is perfect. The picture is of the Italian board they offer.
Im writing this because of the disrespectful and insulting customer service my party received. As a Registered Dietitian (RDand Head of the L.I Restaurant Association, I know bad customer service when I see it. I made a reservation prior to my visit, and even called the day of to confirm. I arrived and there was no reservation under my name.Mistakes happen, and my party and I were finally seated. My party ordered a few meat boards and a bunch of tapas to share along with a few bottles of wine. The diversity of the menu food was very good! However, I did not realize nor anticipate that my stay at the establishment was being TIMED. Our waitress rudely interjected at my partys table and stated, "By the way, you have 15..I mean 17 minutes left before you have to leave". I asked her why and she stated, "Reservations are only an hour and a half long". I wish I was made aware of this policy before I made the reservation. It was not noted anywhere on the Restaurants website, nor when I entered. A few minutes later, another person (presumably the restaurant owner or Maitredyelled at us and said, "Your time is up, you need to leave. Heres a box".Personally, I was very insulted by the staff. I strongly feel that this could have been handled a different way. I basically was kicked out of the restaurant, along with my party. It was probably the most embarrassing act of a restaurant and hospitality establishment Ive ever seen. Im not returning to the establishment again, and suggest that others avoid it as well.
Never disappoints! The food, drinks, ambiance, staff, everything is wonderful. Last time we sat at the bar which I never usually do out to dinner, but it was so enjoyable that I would actually request to sit there in there in the future. We were able to converse with 2 employees, Brian and Joe who were so attentive, friendly and actually took the time to chat with us. Can’t wait to go back soon!
Long time customer (one of their first actuallyand finally made it hear for brunch. Boy was I missing out. Talk about starting the day off right? A great coffee, an ice cold beer (yes I am that guycoupled with walnut pesto toast and an Egg, bacon and fig jam sandwich on a home made English muffin - out of this WORLD. Try it for yourself youll see. Two very big thumbs up.
Have gone there a couple times and got to try out a few of their different menu options. Brunch was absolutely delicious, definitely try the French toast. Went for dinner another night and got the roast pork loin which was incredible. Super friendly service, shout out to Boris. Will definitely make this a regular place for me
A wonderful place for brunch. I am so excited to go back and try tapas there. As you can see from the pictures the cheese board is amazing and worth every penny. Food was delicious, fresh and very well presented.
This is a great tapas bar offering delicious food. We had corn and mushrooms and chicken puff which was amazing.
The food is great, wine flights even better. I really appreciated our servers attentiveness to a food allergy that I had--I ordered something without realizing I couldnt have it, and she let me know. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the staff does not rush you out. Cant wait to come back!
Excellent place to go to. Service is great. Wine are fabulous. Prices are great.
Great little spot with fantastic food, superb service, and bonus, a fun bunch of additional kitchen/food items for sale. Can personally recommend the Spanish Board and bloody marvelous (a very interesting spin on a traditional bloody marybut from the quality of what we saw and tasted Im sure its all similarly tasty.
Absolute go to amazing vibes wonderfulSelection of cured meats fine cheeses and tapas ranging from octopus to empanadas and everything taste great! The bone marrow is my personal favorite once you try it you’ll want to eat it till you have beef fat dripping from your pours. For dessert do not miss out on there pound cake its incredible so moist flavorful and a perfect balance between the milk the bread and the fruit jam on top ! Me and my girlfriend frequent this spot we can never get enough of it.
Its difficult to put into words how incredible this spot is. Read about fancy Olive oil, flip through an inspiring cookbook, shop for beautiful spices while waiting on one of the best sandwiches you will ever taste. The staff here were so kind and helpful with my really boisterous family as all eight of us changes our orders, and the result was a Canadian of amazing flavor.
We had a private Xmas party, so this review is not for the general restaurant. Although because of the party Im eager to try the bat/ restaurant side.. EVERYTHING from the staff to the food exceeded expectations. I dont know exact menu items but we had meatballs and roasted cauliflower that were delicious and beef empanadas that stole the show. The beer and wine list were great and the staff was quick and attentive. Cant wait to go back.
This place is so good that I visited it for the first time October 6 and I have been back 4 times (including today). The small plate grilled shrimp is excellent, and with polenta is next level but to be fair, every single thing I had was fantastic.A full bar and great wine list adds just the right touch. The service and product knowledge is some of the best on Long Island. This my new favorite place.
A truly gourmet deli and coffee shop. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared. And this is great place for a PROPER latte. The adjacent restaurant and tapas bar of the same name is also outstanding.
Salumi has a great beer selection. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The Spanish meat and cheese board is a fantastic choice. Well definitely be back.
Shrimp were delicious and so were the various meats and cheeses that we ordered.
The food is excellent. Flavorful and nicely presented. Tried the Seasonal Salad, Shrimp, Octopus, Burrata, Cauliflower and Pork Belly. Drinks and wine were also really delicious. Definitely going back and highly recommend. Its very relaxed atmosphere.
So glad to have this on the island. It is a sophisticated but casual enough place for drinks, tapas, and brunch with my husband. My favorite was the grilled octopus at one point, but the menu is always changing seasonally. The bartender is very helpful to explain the wine list and cocktails and creates them with care. The cheeses are surprising and delicious. It will get packed at night, so the earlier the better if you need to feed a crowd.
We went there for Sunday breakfast with my adult stepson. What a great eating experience! The menu is quirky. Their products are super fresh. While the patrons are enjoying a terrific meal, they are surrounded by possibilities as the shelves are stocked with uniquely packaged dry goods that are or arent gourmet oriented, and appeal to everyone. Looking forward to returning!!!
Great food, pretty affordable compared to most tapas spots. Wine list is extensive, not to mention some interesting cocktails
Love this place! The food is always amazing! Especially if you want to try something new & exciting. Last time we tried lamb neck (seriously? so random!but it was one of the most delicious things Ive ever eaten! The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the wine & food selections. The moody atmosphere is the perfect setting to catch up with your friends over a bottle of wine & cheese board.
A pretty robust wine selection and the yaps are great.Service has always been a bit meh. Last time I was here for brunch I had to send back a drink because my bloody Maria was way too spicy. They did not remove it from my bill. Wish I had known, my friend would have at least finished it. Those little things service-wise really affect your decision to return. I doubt I will.
I absolutely love this place. Without question my favourite restaurant on Long Island. Very bold European flavours in their meat and cheese plates. Great wines to accompany these. Many of the cooked dishes are excellent too. This restaurant is a distillation of European cuisine (mainly Italian and Spanishwith a US twist. It really works well. Although I live in the Europe now, I still miss this place.
