Hermoso lugar a 11 km de ruta 8. Cuenta con senderos, piscinas naturales y un parador con buenas opciones, pero no acepta tarjetas. No hay señal de teléfono. La entrada al área cuesta 50 pesos.

Punto infaltable en la visita a Minas. Buena atención en el parador. Paseos actividades y una vista hermosa. Apto para hacer excursiones de senderismo y disfrutar de una paz en contacto con la naturaleza virgen. Muy bien mantenido e indicadores exactos. Entrada al parque 50 pesos por persona o sea 1.2 dólar a agosto de 2022. Recomiendo100%

Excellent views and the waterfall is amazing. Best time is to go after a rain so that the water levels are good.

One of the best nature spots in the country. Beautiful waterfall that runs through a rock channel into a pond with hills all around. Great spot for a picnic, to relax, or do some of the activities they offer.

Excelente lugar para disfrutar de una vista hermosa y múltiples actividades al aire libre. La entrada tiene un costo de $ 50 por persona y realmente vale la pena. El restaurante es muy lindo con variedad de platos. La vista es única y podemos encontrar platos elaborados con jabalí que están muy bien preparados.

Lugar hermoso. En el Km 134 de la ruta 8 a 4 km de Villa Serrana. El camino de Acceso está pavimentado y en buen estado. Al llegar hay una garita que muestra el ingreso pueden cobrarte la entrada ahí o luego adentro. El lugar es impresionante. El caudal de la cascada no siempre es el mismo, a veces es a penas un chorrito de agua. Se puede ver desde abajo o desde arriba. Hay un Mirador hermoso y un local gastronómico. El paseo que no lleva más de 2,5 horas. Llevar championes.

Es más linda la ruta para llegar que el lugar en sí. La cascada y el mirador son muy lindos. Toda esa zona de sierras es muy pintoresca para recorrer. No me resultó buena la oferta para hacer trekking. Nos lanzaron al campo cual vacas y sin mayores recomendaciones. Si bien está abierto todos los días, no todas las actividades están habilitadas durante la semana. La pasamos bien.

With a beautiful lake and wonderful waterfall, Salto del Penitente is a gorgeous site to visit while in Uruguay. The hike to the different locations on the site is short, yet a bit steep to go to the waterfall.There are also zipline attractions in the site, though a very short glide.

It was amazing...so natural..the hostel was good, rural and simple..you have to carry with everything, food, water, drinks...you can choose to stay the night in a hostel with community bathrooms...kitchen, microwave ans freezer available...

Good for a night stay with camp fire. They have a common kitchen with gas stove and microwave oven. They conduct few activities including the zip lining which costs 330 pesos and 650 pesos per person for one night stay

The restaurant inside the park needs to do the effort to get wireless connection to get a POS and accept digital payment methods (debit/credit cards). Other than that, awesome place.

Excellent place to have a good time with family and friends to enjoy the beauty of the nature! Incredible attention from the instructors of the zip line and rappel. Good food and the restaurant under the main gazer.

Beautiful and peaceful place. Theres many activities like penitent roap leap, abseiling, horseback riding, trekking, bird watching. Theres also a place to camp, a reataurant, a place for barbecue.

Great place to be in touch with nature and go with your family.

Very quiet and nice place when its not raining. Surrounded by nature. Theres a camping zone that was empty. But I guess also quiet during camping times.

Only in Uruguay would this qualify as an attraction. The activities appear to operate only on weekends but someone will grumpily charge you to look at the small stream falling down some rocks in a cow pasture anytime.

Uruguay has a very rocky landscape around Lavalleja, where you can find Salto del Penitente. You should mainly go for the breathtaking views from up the mountains, which lead you to small waterfalls and natural pools. There is also a restaurant in the rocky mountains that you can’t miss, and various adventurous activities offered, like rock climbing and horse riding.

You must visit this place at least once!

Beautiful place, full of nature, amazing landscape, great for adventurous people, beautiful sightseeing. Great for families, not accessible for people on wheelchairs. Theres food and shelter. It has a couple of attractions like zipline and others. Not dangerous at all.

Good little hill point in matheran. This region is the only hilly region in this country. You can do a small rope riding here. One small water falls is there. Good for one day trip here in uruguay. No public transportation is available, needs to have private transport.

Awesome weekend trip! A must-see for a tourist! The cabins provide nice lodging, or you can tent along the trails.A bus from Montevideo to Minas then a taxi to the cabin wasnt overly expensive.
