Love the food here. Really tasty and consistent. A great quality North Indian restaurant. Highly recommend.

Goan fish curry looked and tasted like Andhra spicy fish curry. Was billed extra for tiramisu cake which we ddnt even order, luckily we checked the bill. Overpriced bakvas food. Even steam rice was so lifeless!

The first time I went here, i loved everything. So we went back the next time but didnt enjoy the food much. Taste was quite different. The first batch of biryani was stale and smelly. Then we got a second batch that was fresh. Stale food shud not be served as it is quite n expensive place. The mutton sheekh was very good. But when u take the buffet they serve too quickly and you end up getting stuffed too soon.

The place seemed overrated honestly. The soup was not at all good. The butter chicken was okayish

We had soya chaap, kasundi malai broccoli and veg dum biryani.Broccoli starter was good. The description had mentioned cheese, cream among other ingredients but didnt get much flavor of those. Soya chaap was okeish ( it was more like soya Chilli though).Biryani was well cooked and overall taste was satisfactory. It didnt have enough veggies and gravy though.Overall the portion size is very small given the high price of the dishes.Ambience is good. Good music (Bollywood).PS: We were given complimentary dessert since we were not much satisfied with the food ( as indicated in our feedback asked at the restaurant)

We ordered veg pulao via Zomato from Salt restaurant, VR Bengaluru mall. We received spoilt pulao. When called and enquired about this, they dint respond well.

These guys are cheats. They suggested taking an imported wine from new zealand which cost around Rs. 3K, and said that there would be a 15 pc discount. Even upon asking the waiter, he confirmed that it would be around 3K. At the end of the meal they presented a bill of Rs. 9k including the food. Imagine spending 9k for a two person meal. What a terribly end to my birthday. I loved this place but now I will never recommend it to anyone.Edit: Thanks for the reply but apart from that I dont see any effort to conflict resolve. Anyway good that you got your brownie points for appearing to care about your customers online.

Restaurant is good for family, very nice staff with lot of cooperation. The ambience is not suitable for a bar, the brighter light makes an open environment which is not looks to be suitable for Bar. If you are looking for pub environment with friends or, couple looking for a personal time , this not a recommend place. They serve Buffet as alacarte and you wil not have any selection other than what they serve , you can reject or select. Very less stocks of HOT beverages , even we went three different drinks only because each one get over after one serve.

Ambience was decent, Food was awesome, Hospitality and staff behaviour was good. Its costly can increase there quantity or may be size of chicken and mutton pieces either..

you will enjoy food except biryani. The mocktails are good mango fizz its okay and another one is some Thai forgot the name, it is nice.

Very nice place food was yum and the staff were very friendly...I have celebrated my colleague farewell there...so they have done an awesome job by decorating the desert , playing music for us and even clicked many pics ... beautiful gesture...liked it all🤩

Good range of vegetarian options. Welcome juice, loved it. served as al-carte. Decent ambience. Ice cream platter very good. Staffs hospitality appreciated. Veg biryani nice. All veg starters were really nice. Not budget friendly , extreme cost. Cost vs ambience not in sync. We havent tried liquor. Wallet car parking available.

Food was nice here. Was there with my office mates, the place was a bit small.

Good food,calm environment, we were Group of 12, service is good.Menu items completely changed compared to their old version.Now its really worth spending on Salt.

I visited this restaurant on our anniversary and it was nice experience as we got an outdoor table seating.. ( ambience was good but outdoor seating was little bit congested, view was nicethe food was purely Indian , the starters were not too awesome but it was okay.. but their “Galouti kabab“ was too good 👍 it’s my favourite so far.. and their desert was nice too..I tried their Sangria wine 🍷 which was nice too.. so if you are at VR mall definitely you can try this restaurant once.. plz book a table in advance to enjoy the outdoor seating😊

Worst experience ever. Sweet is like u are eating sugar only. Starter quantity is too less and taste is like normal dhaba food, i would say dhaba food more than better this restaurant. If you are planning to come here for special occasion please dont even think.

Visited there for team lunch. We had buffet which was priced at 1300Rs. + taxes. ( The price is same even if you opt for veg only buffet ). The variety and the food quality is not at all worth for that much price. The dessert options are very limited too. Will not reccommend.

For an Indian restaurant they dont use any spice in their dishes, and the dessert menu is very short for a buffet of 1300+taxes, never again

The food is not so great for the price. Ice cream is really cheap quality of strawberry flavor. All the nonveg starters are some versions of chicken and some egg starters. Main course has very limited options. There is no mutton, fish or prawns. Its only chicken and eggs for non veg. Not a fine dining place.

Good food with variety of buffet options.Buffet: Started with welcome drinks, thereafter starters and main course, lastly they served desserts which was awesome.We can also celebrate birthday parties here but need to book tables early

The restaurant has a pretty nice vibe to it, specially the open seating areas. The food for delicious and the portions were good. The serving staff was pretty polite as well. If youre looking for a good place with good food where you can have a conversation in peace, this might be among your top choices!

The place is amazing. The staff is really nice, humble and helpful. Big shout out to all the people serving us. The ambience is upto the mark for family outings . The food is delicious and the protein is really fresh here. We ordered chicken shorbet, chicken Kati roll, fish achari tikka, veg platter. 10 on 10 for all the items.

Food taste was OK OK. I went on Sunday, there was quite delay in service.

The food and plating is top notch. The staff is very courteous.Their Dahi ke kabab and galouti kebab were🤌. Chicken dum biryani wasnt that great. The jamun tiramisu is average

Got some buffet options. They serve the items to your table.. the food taste was ok, nothing great to make a note. Though there were not many varieties in the buffet spread that we selected, they served the items again after we requested for it. But the serving speed became very slow when the total number of guest groups increased to 4. The main course and the desserts were just for namesake.

I visited this place for a date night. Location wise its good , ambiance is also decent with candlelight.The service was quick, the staff was friendly and courteous.We had paneer tikka flavoured with orange and tried few cocktails . Those were unique in taste also they presented well.Best is their waiter Vikaash , the best man who suggests best sides and best drinks.

We were in VR Mall and we were hungry. We decided to check out the options on the 4th floor and were dismayed to see that our favourite places were all shut down. Our only option was SALT which specialises in North Indian fare. The food was a total disappointment to say the least. The Chicken Tikka Biryani was dry and flavorless with an overwhelming and all prevading taste of nutmeg. The Barbecue Butter Chicken seemed to be suffering from an identity crisis and tasted like a not so great chicken curry smothered in barbecue sauce. The only saving grace was the Orange and Mint Mojito which looked and tasted gorgeous!

This is a great restaurant for north indian food. The taste is very authentic, and they serve the food fresh and hot. The service was ok ok. The salt special jamun tiramisu and galouti kebabs are must haves...

The place is a mixed affair for the prices we are paying. Taste wise, the place is good but the portions are very small. Desserts are really nice. Starters like tandoori chicken, paneer tikka are good but BBQ chicken lollipop is not. Main courses have very small portion. Interiors are nice and location is top notch. Go for experience if you are in VR mall. Strict OK!

Liked the whole ambience and set up of this place. Food was really good but a bit pricey , special kudos for providing cutlery in a proper paper pack . Giving it 3 stars because when I was there a housefly was continuously roaming above my table( But rest of the place was very cleanHope that its a one time occurence!!

I got bored from ordering food at home so thought of venturing out. Googlers helped me with this top rated restaurant near me. And my word, I loved the food and the hospitality. Ill strongly recommend Salt to all. Great going Team Salt. Keep Up!!!

Been here on a family lunch last week. As per Zomato they accepted Zomato Pro membership even on Buffets. When we visited they was no buffet on display and they didnt accepted Zomato Pro for buffet. As per them it was applicable only for A La Carte food items. We still agreed to go ahead and pay the full price to restaurant for the buffet knowing that they have great reviews and we brought in our whole family. When we ordered food from the buffet menu, it was just heartbreaking. Tasteless and cold food was served. Even the biryani was cold and no 43 tems as mentioned in the online menu for buffet were provided. No raita, no salads, no chaats nothing. Had a bad experience there because this is not how you should run buffet system and lie to your customers about the payment options

Quality, quantity is good... Price is affordable.. Mocktail ( khatta is must tryis excellent. But food taste not upto the mark. They try to make fusion, but not come out properly. Rest of thing is good.

This is one of the best place for food. The tandoor fish tikka is one of the exquisite dish they have which makes your mouth waters . I am very picky person to but I can recommend every dish here in salt..

During this lockdown I was very sceptical about visiting resturants due to hygen parameters. This place ticks all the boxes for safety. Food is no doubt great. Ambiance is worth a visit. Staff is very courteous and helpful.

One of the best place for North Indian style cuisine. Loved each and every dish we had. Chicken,mushroom and lamb starters, naan and chicken for main course and even the dessert was very tasty. The staffs are very courteous and service was also very quick. I think I have found a place to go next time whenever I want to have North Indian food.Edit: Went there recently. Very well maintained. They are giving a set of clean packed cutlery for each person. Maintaining the hygiene. And not to forget, the food tastes equally awesome now as well.

We went to this restaurant and we were not disappointed..they recommend some food to try and obviously food was delicious..I have order kala khatta Mitha, which they have recommended..I liked it very much..here buffet option is there but we choose A La Carte. overall experience was good.

We visited this place for team lunch. The taste is superb, though little expensive. Ambience is a contemporary and elegant. Service is good. We ordered some non veg dishes like chicken tikka charcoal grilled that was extra tangy. Also the Jaipuri lal, cheese corn balls were good in taste. Butter nan was very soft and tasty than rotis. Overall had great time with the team.

This place is the place to be after a tiring day of work at any of the busy tech parks nearby! This hosts a very calm relaxing vibe with pleasant Hindi music and a wonderful vibe with indoor, outdoor and upstairs seating. Their service is exceptional and the staff is absolutely courteous. I have never witnessed such polite, well-informed service in my life. The food is finger-licking delicious and the ambience is simply killer! This place is a must visit and It is highly recommended!

Food was really tasty, especially, all the starters that came part of the buffet. The buffet rate with some discount was very nominal around 600 rs only. But mocktails were bit in high range. Restaurant has a small balcony kind of place as well with few seatings.

This place has became my Fav place for Indian cuisine in bangalore! Taste, service, quality everything is top notch. I have tried their mushrooms and paneer silsila from Tandoor category and both were amazing. Flavours were so good.Best dish of this restaurant is this Salt special Dal Makhni- rich creamy thick dal, cooked in authentic punjabi style and spices. Staff is really courteous.

I was searching for some good restaurant to explore in mahadevapura and I found Salt Indian Restaurant in VR Bengaluru mall.Place is cosy. They have outdoor and indoor sitting arrangement. Exclusive space at the 1st floor is only for buffet and this applies only if you are 10+ in a group, else they provide ala carte service.We ordered Khala Khatta and Hot Apple Toddy to start with. In starters, Chilli Paneer Fry and Masala Crab Papadum. Cottage cheese in chilli paneer was so soft and I couldn’t believe I was tasting paneer as it was melting 🤤 Taste was great, it was fried with onion and capsicum. Masala Crab Papadum, it sounded something unique dish and without 2nd thought I placed the order. However, the dish arrived late more than anticipated time, but I must say it was worth waiting(for me). Crab meat is stuffed in masala papad. Do you realise how that could be 🙄 Taste was predominant. Usually sea food will start smelling at some point of time, when you start eating, but this dish was prepared so well and I didn’t feel such smell at all. Probably because, egg white was used as an ingredient to roll the papad before frying(This was told by restaurant manager himself).We ordered, Egg biryani as well. My god! Great dum Biryani. I say, it’s a must try if you plan to visit. Hats off to chef because, the aroma of Biryani masala was so good and the proportion of dum the biryani was cooked was mouth watering.We were asked for desserts, we didn’t order. But surprise factor was we were served plum cake as a complimentary dessert 😋😋 We were so happy about the way they treat their customers politely and humble.At last, it’s an awesome place for wide spread to try in both veg and non veg. Ensure, you make prior bookings of the table as you can expect ample of crowd in weekends.

Its an absolute delight of a restaurant. We visited there on one Friday evening and the place was not crowded at all. The staff was very prompt and the service was above average. There are happy hours during Friday evening and they accept Zomato gold too, so the whole deal was very cheap for us. They have an outside seating area if you want to enjoy the view of Namma Metro Construction and they have indoor seating too where a live band was performing when we had gone. The place overall gives very nice vibes and totally a place to visit if you are with a friend or partner.

Nice restaurant, great ambiance, perfect for a weekend lunch or dinner. Place is a bit small so it gets a bit crowded during the weekend. You have to wait for the tables to become available. Overall its a nice place to have a nice lunch or dinner with family. Its also serve liquor or convenient for people who like to have some drinks with food. Price is reasonable. Along with the restaurant you can go around VR, which is a good place for shopping as well as window shopping.

Its a fine dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. They have incorporated most of the standards followed by luxurious restaurant.They do have live music during weekends. My only recommendations is to reduce the volume of live music as I was unable to hear the person sitting right next to me.
