Church House, 1 Hanover St, Liverpool L1 3DW, United Kingdom, Liverpool
Light-filled, 2-level, contemporary space hung with framed photos, for charcuterie and small plates.
Food was super and pricing was very good. Service was top notch!
Excellent service- speedy but not rushed. Very tasty food. Lovely atmosphere for a Wednesday night.
Fabulous lunch, had the three course lunch menu, decent size portions, no room for pudding and I’m greedy. Pleasant staff, many thanks
Food quality was excellent, staff were friendly and professional. Bit of a wait for food but it was busy.
Dined in tonight and spent over £100 on the meal. We couldn’t fault the food but the staff were incredibly rude. One particular waitress kept throwing food at my elbow (genuinely throwing a hot sizzling plate towards my arm), which easily could have been knocked off the high tables. I’m genuinely astounded at the level of service as we regularly eat out in Liverpool and at restaurants within the same chain (Bacaro etcand never experienced anything like it. I’ve noticed a similar review below mine mentioning something similar about the staff. The waitress seemed quite aggressive. Sadly there was no name tags to identify her but she had darker blonde hair and was a scouser. Hopefully something is done to address the issue as we wouldn’t recommend anyone the restaurant in the future.
Amazing food; large selection of gluten free options available. Very fresh and tasty!Great service also.
Amazing food. Very friendly staff. You feel a little Spain in Liverpool. I love to come back!
Decent selection of TapasFreshly cooked food quick service
When youve lived in Spain and had Tapas at lease once a week your standards will be high. This place is good but falls a bit short of the real thing.
Good food, and drinks only marked down on how hard and how long it took to get some water. Other drinks seemed to come quickly but water wasnt a priority for any of the staff.
Horrible service and horrible food. The waitresses were so rude. When I asked them to explain something in the menu, their reply was, “Why are you asking me when everything is given on the menu?”. I’ve never come across such a rude and unwelcoming staff in a restaurant before. DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS !!
Best Tapas ive ever had in my life. Lovely vibe in the restaurant, great service, absolutely beautiful food. We ordered 10 tapas between 4 people, and it was just about right. After the meal I was full, but not over faced. Highly recommended.
A taste sensation! Tapas is always our go to type of meal and we have never tasted better! The flavour combinations are incredible. Best Tapas restaurant by a mile. Great staff too. Highly recommend. Amazing food.
Food was amazing at such a reasonable price. Really impressive cocktail menu and the staff are lovely
Had a great meal here , food was delicious, the goats cheese and honey was great , the staff were wonderful , the service was perfect. Would love a few more veggie dishes , that’s not a criticism as it was a perfect night.. highly recommend
Ive been here a couple of times now, the food is so good. The pintxos selection is just the right portion of food and taste amazing. The larger dishes (still small dishhave a large selection of meat, fish, veggie and everything is different to each other. Definitely not stuck for choice
Was looking for somewhere to eat last minute. They were able to to seat us outside. Fantastic food, and fantastic service. Would love to go back again.
This is a lively restaurant that serves tapas. It is great for those that enjoy trying many different dishes rather than the traditional plated meals. All the tapas we had were tasty and well presented. Some items were reasonable portions but some were a little too small. Well worth a visit.
All ingredients appeared to be of great quality, along with being well cooked and very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient.Great buzzy atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable. Will most definitely be visiting again next time Im in Liverpool.
Super nice food.. love it..
Tapas place opposite John Lewis. Visited on a colleague’s recommendation. Not as good as Lunya, in my book, but still decent.Good choice of meats and cheese. Interesting selection of small plates.Toilets in basement. 🤔Visit here then have a few steins at Albert Schenke opposite. Steins. Steins for the people.
Eaten here a few times. Didnt disappoint. Very tasty tapas style plates. We also had sangria which was light enough for afternoon drinking. Staff friendly and attentive.
First time here. Booked table for 3 for a special occasion. Lovely feel to this tapas restaurant.Food very authentic & great selection. Reasonable prices. All dishes chosen were cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Definitely will be returning.
Great restaurant in a convenient location, lovely food and sangria, attentive and friendly staff, would definitely visit again.
Ok if hungry, a little pricey. The nicest dish was the pea risotto.
This is my 4th visit to this restaurant and each time the food has been excellent, reasonably priced. Everything is delicious. Highlights are, Belly Pork, Sea Bass and the Beef dish. Lovely atmosphere and good service. Definitely recommend. Thank you.
What planet have I been on you may ask but I have to confess to never having had Tapas until today! I have to say it was some of the most delicious fayre Ive ever eaten! Every plate brought to our table (and there were many!was heavenly. There were too many dishes to mention here but stand out delicacies were the pork belly, seabass &:risotto. My friend whos had Tapas on many an occasion at different venues commented on how exceptional it was. To compliment the great food, the staff were so friendly, efficient & courteous. Very impressed & cant wait to return!
This restaurant close to Liverpool One is definitely worth visiting. The atmosphere and the service are very welcoming. The food is excellent and makes the whole experience very satisfying.
Beautiful food, ordered at and served to table, courteous staff.Excellent.
Food was delicious and was at the table in no time, Deserts were amazing also!Great atmosphere and great staff!
Food was incredible. There was 9 of us and i think we tried the majority of the menu between us and every single thing was amazing. Even down to the olives while we browsed the menu, they were the best olives Ive ever had! Will definitely return!
Great place to visit, food was delicious and very friendly staff.1
Good and speedy service. Good variety of tapas of dishes at reasonable prices. Even on a Wednesday night it was quite busy, so it might be wise to book if you decide to go along.
Great meal, all dishes were tasty, staff friendly and attentive and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely return.
One of my favourite places to eat excellent tapas. great staff. Reasonably priced. Top quality food and drink
Gorgeous food and friendly service. Lots of choice, would definitely return.
Lovely welcome, lovely staff, lovely tapas washed down with lovely Sangria.
Amy was our waiter today and she was an absolute delight. She took my nut allergy very seriously and I was impressed with the tiny flags in my dishes so I knew what was safe for me to eat. Highly recommended! We had the lunchtime deal and the food was delicious.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Great atmosphere too. Favourite dishes were the octopus, chorizo in honey, and the goats cheese walnut and honey on bread. Lose one star because the prawns were a little overcooked and they didnt have the chocolate tart that was on the menu.
Trying Spanish for the first time ever. For a person who is the most pickiest when it comes to food ... I should say this was absolutely delicious and fantastic food. Starting from chichory and pear salad to Spanish risotto to the dessert .. everything was absolutely spot-on !! Would definitely visit next time I am in Liverpool
This was one of my preferred Spanish tapas to eat 3-4 years ago. However everything have gone down in quality and up in price. As Spaniard, dont recognize either the croquettas or the bravas potatoes, padrón peppers were simply served raw!!! For some reasons bravas are tomato on potatoes which doesnt match at all about what bravas are in reality about
Very busy time during the Champions League finals, Salt House did not have a table but their little courtyard was available for walk-ins. Very nice tapas and Pintxos. Octopus; serrano ham and manchego; Chorizo sausage, romesco, fried egg, matchstick fries; croquettes; patron peppers and churros with chocolate. Definitely shall be back to try some more.
Was good service, quick and organised. Well I put 4 stars for bitter prices for the portions. Quality was fine. I am not sure about cocktails quality. £8 for Cherry bomb that tastes like polish cherry vodka with more water..... not for me. Too pity that they dont serve wine in glasses even though they have it on the menu prices for glass of wine.....
Weve been in Liverpool two nights, we had food both days there. Everything it was amazing, nice and fancy place, they have some tapas which are delicious, whipe cream goat cheese and jamón croquettes my favourites. The scallop, ohh... The best!! Elliot I think supervisor and Sasha waitress gave us an excellent customer service. Desserts not too good but the rest of the food it was delicious.
Really good food and decent sized portions. Service was great from everyone we dealt with including our main waitress Ellie. Value for money varies depending on what you order. Would highly recommend the mixed fried fish, would not recommend the Marmite ox cheek.
First visit and we loved It!!! The food was stunning!! So flavoursome!!!. Staff were so very very attentive and informative 🍽🍽😷😷✌✌
Great food, great service. Really nice restaurant and very very chilled out vibe. Dark and cosy so it would be great for dates.
Fast and friendly service with extensive menu.Been here since 2010 with a capacity of 130.Great outdoor area makes Salt House Tapas a great place for that special occasion or just to drop in for lunch.
Weve previously used Bacaro many times before and for some reason not ventured further. The concept is the same, the building and general ambience is lovely, clean and spacious, staff a friendly and helpful. We chose 6 dishes off the main menu, 2 desserts and a coffee - which more than filled us. The quality of the food and presentation was excellent and there is plenty of choice available to encourage a return visit. Highly recommended.
Nice atmosphere, we sat outside and enjoyed 11 dishes in total all tasty and some really stood out such as the belly pork, toastie and the fish dishes. Would visit again. Service slowed down towards the end and we had a long wait for the bill, otherwise great service.
