Sally O'Briens - Irish pub in Troitsk, Russia
Sally O'Briens in Troitsk
Description
MoreNice pub👌
MoreOld good place
Went to this pub for lunch, cuz I live 2 minutes away from it after moving to Moscow from Canada. Been in many Irish Pubs back there and wanted to relive the feeling here in Moscow. When you walk in, the first thing, is that the place is very dark. Had to wait for 5 minutes to get any service. Great choice of beer, yes, but I wanted lunch, and couldnt find a single person to get a menu from. Got the menu, great choice once again, wanted a cheeseburger since I was very hungry. My friend that was with me got the fish and chips. When the food arrived, instead of big strips of fish, there were 6 small pieces of cod, with mushy dough, as if just defrosted. For my meal, had the same problem: meat was very mushy, onion bursted in spice at the wrong moments, and the cheddar cheese was as hard as concrete.Service was dissapointing, as everyone was very gloomy and didnt care much for their clients.Halfway through the cheeseburger I started feeling nauseous and got a bad headache... Same with my friend. We left soon and had to go back to my place, feeling very sick...
MorePerfect! Real Irish bar
I came here because I heard that Guinness beer was delicious, and I had a good time without worrying about Covid19 because there were no people because it was daytime.
MorePerfect! Ask "pechenka" on exit
Cool clean and cheap
Standard foreigner rip-off place, poor choice of beer, overpriced
Good location, but a bit kitschy interior, little choice of beet and a dash overpriced
MoreMultiple reports of stuff’s attempts to pull a check fraud on clients. The management seems to be ok with that ignoring social media posts. Be aware and double check your bill.
MoreGreat atmosphere, service, beer and food. Congrats on your 25th anniversary.
MoreWatch the world cup match Russia vs Croatia here, amazing atmosphere. But any time I have come there has been a great atmosphere!
MoreVery friendly service, this place knew better times... But still worth a detour
MorePretty decent business lunch for a place downtown
Nice place to have a Guiness
The oldest Irish pub in Moscow is only 24 years old in 2019 (apparently the oldest claim for Russia lies with Mollys in St. Petersburg). But they have all the Irish staples on tap - about a dozen draughts to choose from. It was a warm sunny walk from New Tretyakov to here so I started with a refreshing Harp first. Thirst-quenched, the friendly bar-keep poured me a perfect pint of Guiness, served at the right temperature. We also enjoyed the fish & chips and the twinsausage. Sally OBriens is a welcoming and cozy pub and they all speak English here. Recommended!
MoreArorable Guinness ! Thank you Michael and Mark for this cool place in The City during 23 years already )!!!
MoreThis is my personal favourite place. More than just an Irish pub for me. Otherwise just a good one with a bit longer history than usual for this kind of a pub in Moscow. A bit rustic, with a lot of evidence on the walls :-)
MorePricy, but it is in the center of the city.
Old school
Irish pub with no Rugby🤣
Great place indeed!
Looks like a typical British pub, nice service and music, I recommend.
Typical, tradional Irish pub good service, English speaking and great guiness!
Cool place in wild city)
Best Irish Pub in Moscow! Or Russia for that matter!
Authentic and nostalgic
This is not only the best Irish pub in Moscow but its better than any Irish pub Ive been to in Colorado. Any time I find myself in Moscow you will find me here. The food is wonderful, the service attentive and I dont have to try to order in broken Russian. This place feels like home. They have magners on tap and as of the writing of this review their Shepards pie and grilled haloumi cheese with tomatoes are gluten free and super delicious! The owner, Chief and crew work together as a family and as a result I really feel at home here. Also they have magners and Strongbow for us cider lovers or glutarded. Come for the drinks, stay for the food.
MoreThe music!
Expensive
It’s one of the oldest since Soviet union collapse opened Irish Pubs in Moscow. Always nice atmosphere and good service but some days too noisy. Day time it is nearly empty, but time of soccer or other fun football whatever games it is full of fun’s or just office plankton spending the time with beer. Always thought it is looks more like German than Irish :Nice place anyway.
MoreNice atmosphere. And warm crew...
It was quite a large Irish pub that we called into whilst out for a walk to grab a drink and sit down for a short rest. Didnt go into it because it was an Irish pub but it does look like your typical pub in the UK or Ireland. The drinks were expensive whilst in there and they did sell European and local larger. I think the local larger ended up costing around £8 for a pint! Only had one at those prices!
MoreVery friendly. Good (not greatmenu. I keep coming back because the staff are the best in Moscow
MoreThe best place in the world.
One of the best there is.
Good beers and good food.
Good.
Nice place to eat and drink
Hard to find real pub in Russia...

9 euro a guinness and 8 euro the cheapest pint... seriously!
