Sale Motor Village - in Sale, Australia
Cosy little cabin with a view of Gum trees. I just stayed at the Sale Motor Village for a week whilst working in the area. I really enjoyed my stay. The cabin had everything I needed to be comfortable and was very clean. Leanne from reception was a pleasure to deal with and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Quiet facilities. Amenities are old but ok. Only one power point. Amenties should be centrally located in park, very dark at night if you are a long way from them. Otherwise park is good and would stay their again
Clean amenities, a nice quiet park, friendly management
Clean facilities, beautiful treed location.
Very nice
Great place! Quiet and relaxing! Great for dollar price, I did a powered site. Had all my amenities and kitchen area. Beautiful scenery
Lovely laid back caravan park pet friendly and a relaxing stay beside the river very well spaced out caravan sites and all round pleasurable sraff werevery kind and was maintained well definitely recommend this one! π
Great little park nice and quite green grass on sites
Thoroughly enjoying our stay in site with ensuite, staff very friendly and obliging, reasonably priced and very well maintained park.
Very pleasant experience. The cabin was an older style but had been renovated to a good standard value for money. Had everything you need to be self contained cooking stove oven, large fridge, bed comfortable no complaints. Central to the arts precinct within walking distance. Staff very pleasant.
Lovely grassed areas, some with concrete slabs. Amenities are clean and well maintained. Close to town.
Weve been working in the area over a couple of years and have been staying at Sale Motor village, its been fine and reasonably priced, I also found them polite. So it was surprise when I tried to ring and re-book today with a response from Leanne being "we dont want you to come back". Stating that someone vomited in the bed and the front door was kicked in when they came in to clean when we stayed before work last week. I understand this being an absolute shock them discovering this if its true. Not listening to my astonishment and reasoning on this incident. I said goodbye to Leanne but feel the need to share what I said/ think. We werent drinking and everyone worked the full next day effectively without being hungover/ sick. Why would of I done these things if I have a business and its would be detrimental to it for me/others that stayed to do this?Theres no reason for me to kick the door in if I had a key.Why would I ring back and want to stay if I did these things, not sure many people would? Also there were ample caravans with tenants loudly drinking next to ours that I stated could of seen us leave and committed these offences which was replied with a laugh!
Very quiet park considering it allows dogs to stay. No problems for us. Would definitely stay again
Weve stayed on a powered site with ensuite and it was great value for money. Even though some things in shared kitchen may need some care this park definitely deserves a five star rating
Lovely park. Good size sites with nice trees and green grass.
Great staff, great amenities that are very clean.
Leanne (Managerwas very pleasant & helpful but the amenities all felt very old & tired. The park itself was pleasant with nice grassed areas and water way surrounding the park. We couldnt get a satellite lock on our site due to the trees. Even though its a nice enough park, overall the price was a little too high for what was on offer.
Stayed hear 2 nites everyone was very friendly great park very quite all the amenities were sparkling clean we had a power site with ensuite n i definitely will be back again great work guys n gals keep it up.
Comfortable cabin nice and quiet at the moment. Close access to Port of Sale for boats shady spots playground for kids. All normal amenities. Only minutes from town.
I stayed here while away for work. I found the whole time I was away it was a lovely stay. The park is beauitifully maintained
Really clean toilets, whole park is beautiful and greenFriendly staff and office ladyLovely and quite, Highly recommend!
Very unfriendly lady in office make sure you leave by 10am or they get very grumpy even if the parks empty. We had our own van so itβs not like we were holding up any cleaning of a room. Amenities very old only 2 showers in block no pool. Wonβt be going back there again.
We have stayed at this park twice now. Great place very clean & good amenities. Great friendly managers.
Do not expect too much from this place, no wifi, the rooms are very cold in winter, the room ran out of hot water early in the morning.
Quiet park on edge of township. Cabin was very basic and in need of some maintainance but okay for the fee charged. Other cabins available other than the standard basic.
Good clean amenities, freindly staff. However, I can no longer reccommend this park. Forty dollars per night is too rich. A short distance away is Stratford caravan park a lot cheaper. When you think that we pay $150 for 7 days at North Arm Lakes Entrance right on the water, and $28 in Echuca, to pay that much at Sale is ridiculous
This bloke was the rudest manager Ive ever come across. We had friends stay there in the quiet season. asked to leave the van there for the day after check out to come back and pick it up later this was obviously to much and was so rude to us when he ordered us to leaveNever going back
Only giving a star because I have to, just got abused by the owner for asking to check out a hour late so my baby could nap (which was partically arranged a day earlier to this discussion, I had my wallet in hand ready to pay and the place was empty (in the middle of school holidaysso not like they needed us gone! Extremely rude!
Neat, tidy, pet friendly, surrounded by little river, very close to town which is convenient. Lovely walks. Ablutions are sufficient, need a good dust to get rid spiders & webs. They are everywhere. Otherwise very comfortable.
I have stayed here before and probably will again. Nice quiet park, Dog friendly and clean. The prices are reasonable and the managers are friendly. We had an ensuite site and found the private bathroom very clean and comfortable. The park is close enough to town to be convenient.
We had a great stay in a budget cabin. Very clean and tidy. Owners were friendly and helpful. The park is close to the shops and the Port of Sale.
Never again. 4 nights of hell. Stayed in cabin. Faults to numerous to mention. But steps up to door have no rail or handle so even able body people would have difficulty balancing to gain access. The screen doors auto closer did not work so you have to balance hanging out door to grab screen door to close. The handle had a broken spring so did not actually latch. Lounge had multiple holes in it covered with ill fitting cover. At least 3 power points were broken. Smoke detector loose. Tiles broken. Taps tarnished. Cleaning apalling, stove had been used and not wiped between clients. Bed not made, sheet left on top to make yourself. Lighting in park very poor especially returning in dark. Airconditioner did not work efficiently. Cereal left in kitchen cupboard from previous client so obviously not checked. Have stayed in dozens of units over Australia and these would be the worst gives all parks a bad name. Also noted all ceilings were water stained, outside needs maintenance but inside definately needs a lot of work
You have to pay for power on powered sites on top of the site fee, pay $1 to use the bbq and $5 for washing.
Nice big sites, thought this was the best park in town. Free wi fi, lovely management. Individual heaters in shower recesses was a definite plus. Well kept park with lush grass sites. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. Lots of things to do around town including races/gallops which was fun. Swing bridge a must see. Either drive or catch the ferry tour to bridge. Cost $27 per night.
The location is great. But the owners and the people who run the park are most unhospitable to backpacker campers. They allow booking for at most one week for a powered site, and if you ask them that you want to stay another week they will tell you: "Nah mate. One week only. If you want to stay longer, you have to move out and move back in". And their powered sites are very expensive even if you only want to pitch a small tent. They dont seem to treat their big shiny caravan guests the same way. In my opinion they just dont like people with bike and backpack - they seem to think its bad for their parks "image".They gave me what they thought was the worst site, out of the way and out of site of everyone (I know this for a fact because I overheard them talking in the office behind reception "guy with bike, put him out of the way). But in fact it was the best site for me because I was away from the lights and as an amateur astronomer I love looking at the night sky.Bottom line though, the people who run the place are not nice. Sorry folks. Callem like I see them.
The owner was lovely and the camp grounds are nice but the facilities are quite dated and there arent enough of them with only 2 showers in the bathrooms and 1 bbq for all campers to share. Also not much to do there and tne playground is fairly average. Not a bad stop the way but not really a destination camping place.
Not a nice place at all. Toilets and showers not clean. Payed for a powered site not one bit of grass on it witch made it hard with a 1 year old to keep clean. Had to pay more for a powered site and then extra for power. Stuff never happy and would not say hello or smile. We were there a week and only stayed because we payed when we arrived i would never go back or tell any one to go there
Strictest checkin and checkout policies weβve ever come across for unpowered camping sites (and we have camped all over Victoria). One family in our group was running a few minutes late and asked the owners to wait 2minutes after 6pm so they could arrive and checkin. Owner was extremely rude and uncooperative to the point they had to pull over and pay via credit card over the phone. They were less than 5kms away and were staying for almost 2 weeks. The rest of us had paid for 4 nights and were planning on staying longer but after that we all left after the 4 nights. The park was absolutely dead which is surprising for Christmas holidays but given the other reviews Iβm not that surprised. Also there are mosquitoes everywhere!!! The facilities themselves arenβt too bad but I do agree with other reviews that the park is overpriced for what they offer. Particularly if you want a powered site, not only do you pay more for a powered site but you also have to pay for the power you use.
Nice and clean, TV in the cabins could be a little larger than 16"
Its alright. More of a need somewhere to stay sort of place. Id like to see an outdoor table and new cups in the cabins and a bed that wasnt rock hard but its alright overall.
I had to give a star but didnt want to but it makes you so you can give a review and no way i would pay that money when she sounds so rude over ther phone i cancelled my month or more i was going to stay as was so ruse cant give you the time of day never again way over priced
Had a great stay, very nice people in office & pleasant staff around the park
I am a regular visitor to Sale and always stay at Sale Motor Village. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, the facilities are clean and comfortable and the tariff is very reasonable. I highly recommend this park.
There isnt any thing in the park for the kids to do except go to the park which if at the info centre right next to the park. The kitchen was good and clean.
We like the clean facilities with a great camp kitchen , the bird life is fantasticGreat place to stay at a realistic price
I had a nice stay at sale Motor village the owner of the park were friendly and helpful the cabins were cleaned and also had a BBQ the BBQ were nice clean. My son was sick and car broke down the owner help me get to the Drocters and also helped me get someone to look at my carπ.happy to stay again thank you help leanne and Floyd
Owners are horrible and very very rude to permanent residents in the park as Ive witnessed it first hand. Would highly recommend not staying here as there is room at the sale greyhound club for caravans at a much more affordable price!
I have lived in this Park for 2 years now and my Grandson Adam who is 18yrs old for 3 months and we both love the whole natural surroundings....river...trees...wildlife etc.The Managers of this park we have found to be very amicable and very compassionate ....they are very eager to help when we ask and the park is one of the most functional parks we have stayed at and lived at. The staff in their office are to be highly-rated too..(always smiling).I would like to apologise for my grand daughters rude remarks she has made on this site (Jordyn Larkinas they certainly are not true.
Awesome People got an ensuite site didnt even book in ahead of time it was way to windy for me to carry on and I just pulled in Thankyou so much hey
Nice caravan park right at the start of sale. Look for the information centre to find it. It only had a small playground for the kids, but there is a better one outside. The facilities are original but very clean. Ensuite sites have new-er bathrooms. Not a lot to do in this park that is next to "flooding river". A few mossies also. It can get noisy as its next to the highway and I think there was a cow somewhere the night we stayed that couldnt sleep. I would stay here again though if I needed somewhere to stay. I was surprised how many were here during winter. A lot to see and do in the area - the information centre will help. Ive added a lot of street view photos and normal photos to help you decide.
