First time and everything was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly, nice atmosphere, and the lasagna was delicious. We will go back again soon.

Words can’t even begin to explain the love I have for this place, I’m so picky when it comes to eating Italian food because if you’ve ever lived in italy you’ll not like anything elsewhere. I decided to try this place after reading the reviews, one word “ bellissimo” the food is so authentic and takes you back to italy, and I believe it’s family owned business so you know the food is great. I went in and everyone there made me feel so welcomed and is super friendly and you can feel the positive energy between the staff like they’re a one happy family as soon as you step a foot there, ALSO!! They play the best songs, everything about this place is beyond amazing. Their chicken picatta is my favorite along with their pizza and their drinks are yumm!

Good food. It was a Friday night at dinner hours. Placed was very full. It was loud and difficult to have a conversation at our own table of 2. Nothing that could have been done, just a large party that was EXTREMELY loud. Will return, but probably not on a Friday night dinner date.

The Family team at this restaurant provided the best experience imaginable. We were driving from Missouri to WI and had pulled off for food a couple of times only to be disappointed by building appearance. We tried Salamones and we were pleasantly surprised! The Building looks great inside and out. Bathroom updated. Staff, service, and food 6 stars! Had the Tour of Italy (Starving!and enjoyed it! A must stop near Rockford. Did I mention the Staff? Wonderful, hard working family put a smile on my face. Please try this lovely Italian restaurant!

We took my Father here for his 74th Birthday. He always speaks highly of the restaurant and my wife and I have had Great experiences here as well. I wanted to give this 5 star review because the food was incredible as well as the service. My father is a retired International airline captain. He has eaten food from all over the world and of course Italy and Greece. He said the chicken picatta was the best hed ever had. Dominic was our server and was super friendly and extremely attentive. Great personality all the way around. Were Italian as well so these types of dinners mean the world to us. Thank you to Dominic, Salamones, and the whole staff. Im pretty sure every single staff member said hi or thanked us on the way out. We will be back very soon!!

The wife and I have been there twice now. Once in the dining room once at a table in the bar. Very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, food was outstanding. Highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms !

Nice place inside. Busy, which means people must like the food. I had a pizza. Toppings were tasty. Crust was essentially flavorless.

Great food that is reasonably priced. Great salmon , gnocchi Boulognese, pizza and the cannolli cake is terrific for dessert. Wines are very reasonable by the glass. And dont forget the soups, especially the cream of chic with wild rice. Come and bring your appetite.

First time stopping in went on a Friday was jam packed should have made reservations so the wait was too long we left but we did order their Pizza a few days later and it was very good best pizza we found since weve moved out here. Was a little undercooked but when we put it in the toaster oven for leftovers and up some it was great.

Wait staff was excellent and attentive.Food was pretty darn good with the appetizers coming promptly and the meals at a perfect time afterwards.Tour of Italy was was tasty. Pizza was great. Theyre white Russian was nicely balanced.And I won 60 bucks in their slots gaming area.I definitely plan to go back there with the wife and family again.

While I’m town for my little sisters homecoming, we stopped by here to get dinner as it’s always been a family favorite growing up and it still is!Service: the hostesses and servers were fantastic the entire time! They were very accommodating for a larger group along with the pickiness of some of my siblings!Food: the food was amazing as always! Their house salad is probably my favorite thing here, as it’s perfectly dressed through and through! Not only that, but the mushroom raviolis were fantastic and tasted so so fresh. Everyone at the table was swooned by their food and enjoyed every last bit of it!If you’re in the Rockford/Belvidere area, I highly recommend stopping in and checking this little family owned place out!

Really good food and plenty of it. Service is good and the people friendly. In our travels around the country they may have the best lasagna. Family owned and run. We get carry out and dine in here. Will continue to do so when our travels get us here again.

My first time there, and everything I had was sooooo delicious! My friends & I shared orders of the bruschetta, and toasted ravioli, and I had the Tour of Italy, which is done like the one at Olive garden, but a hundred times better! Service was excellent, and I was surprised that there really wasnt any wait for a table on a Saturday evening, but happy about that anyway. Will definitely be returning!

Best calzone in the area. Always fresh, crisp and you get your choice of 3 toppings which is awesome. I can pick my two standard meats and experiment with a new one every time I go. Good pizza too.

Glad we had 5:00 reservations! Even on a Tuesday it got really crowded and really loud by about 6:00. Good service, great menu. Glad we went!

We were traveling and we entered to the cherry valley as were very tired after very long journey and did not have any idea about the restaurant. Once we got settled in the restaurant we ordered for appetizers, pastas and pizzas. Really the appetiters was amazing especially the spinach artichoke . We loved tomato spaghetti. Great environment and good service.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the lasagna to the pizza, you can’t go wrong with what you get on the menu. My personal favorite is the chicken Parmesan sandwich and the stuffed mushrooms are delicious. The atmosphere is great for a family get together or a romantic date night.

My wife and I had dinner here earlier this week on Thursday. The food was excellent, the waitress was very attentive and friendly, and the service was very quick. The waitress kept bringing out our courses of food before we could finish out delicious calimari appetizer. She even apologized - for being so quick!! LOL. Had enough leftovers for another delicious lunch the next day. Wow, definitely will be back!

I cannot believe Ive never been to salamones! First time visit, went to the Cherry Valley Restaurant. Absolutely wonderful Italian food. We had the fettuccine, lasagna, and chicken parmigiana and every item was wonderful. The bread is the best Ive had in any restaurant. Cant wait to go back and try the pizza. V service and staff could not have done a better job. So glad we went there.

This place has the BEST PIZZA EVER!!! Pastas were delicious and the appetizers are amazing. Havent tried everything on the menu yet but Im sure no matter what you order, you will definitely be satisfied!!

Oh my gosh! We love this place!! We enjoy eating here because you can come as you are or dress up and have a great date night! The only thing we haven’t tried is the desserts because by the time we have eaten dinner we are so stuffed we can’t fit dessert into our tummies! Maybe one time we will order dessert first and then take our meal to go! You need to stop in and enjoy some great Italian food. If you dine in I would recommend Nina for your waitress! She is very kind and makes sure you always have you water filled!!!!

Always, always delicious! Great service in a cozy environment. Our entire table ordered different options, I had the Chicken Parmesan and my husband had the salmon. Both were delectable! Fresh bread and great soup and salad.

Really good atmosphere and the food was delicious. The only thing was the it was a little dark (we went at nightand it was hard to see the menu. But we all had our phone flashlights, so it was just fine. The service was fantastic and the hostess was very willing to reseat us at a place with better light, but we were happy regardless.

Okay, where do I start? The delicious pizza? Or the amazing pastas? But I get afraid to tell everyone how great this place is because I don’t want my little gem to become more popular than it already is and then we will have to make an appointment to get a reservation! Lol. This is one hell o’v an Authentic Italian well beloved restaurant in Cherry Valley. The service is excellent. Kayla is one hell of a server!! To say the food is delicious is an understatement. It’s an intimate and welcoming family and friends, this is the place to go, restaurant. This is where you want to go if you want good home cooking with hospitality. Very consistent, the pizza is delightful, the pasta is, mmm, close my eyes as I take a bite! I love that they’re very clean. Their beer drinks from draft are spotless. Bartender, Michelle is awesome!! Very family oriented which is always a plus. This is the kind of place that you want to take your date, spouse, family, and friends. ❤️
