Buddhist monastery & educational center with an elaborate painted interior & scenic grounds.
Good place for people loving peace and meditation. Mostly visited by buddha followers and buddhists. They also offer free education and many other facilities to Buddhist students.
Very good environment.
Great peace and blessings of Buddha. Phenomenal traditional Tibetan architecture with colourful murals and thousands of beautiful statues of various dieties and the magnificent statue of Buddha at the centre. If you visit during special days, you can witness hundreds of monks chanting hymns and playing huge drums and traditional pipes in unison making it an unforgettable experience.
Can we mediation here?
The peaceful monastery on the Dehradun - Mussoorie road.Must visit and there are many other cafes you can try it on.
Its a very good monastry. I guess its a monk school to be more precise. The place offers you a very peace and calm full aura. If u belong to their community then this place can be 2 hours visit for you but if I have not great inclinations for the religion then it would be just a 40-50 minutes visit at maximum since there are very less seats for sitting. At all times when the monastry is opened , the visitors are allowed to enter though for a limited time and are supposed not to speak much so that the monks dnnt get disturbed with their teachings and prayers. The infrastructure is surely very very fascinating and as well the main monastry inside has many idols which is very fascinating.
buddhist monestryon rajpur road, just besides famous sai baba mandir on rajpur road, peaceful atmosphere to worship gautam buddha great saint, avatar of lord vishnu and founder of buddhism himself.nice place to visit before 7 evening.thanks.

Sakya College for NunsThe inauguration of the Sakya College for Nuns on September 26, 2009 ushered in a new era for Sakya nuns. For the first time, the nuns could engage in higher Buddhist studies at a dedicated facility. They are able to pursue Buddhist studies for up to 15 years at the Sakya College for Nuns, earning the highest degrees in the Sakya tradition.Sakya College for Nuns is situated in Manduwala, about 12 miles from Dehradun and is home to 55 nuns. The head of the Sakya College for monks, Khenchen Gyatso, came up with the idea of converting an under-utilized retreat complex into an institution where nuns could study. His Holiness Sakya Trizin welcomed his idea, and Khenchen Gyatso approached the Tibetan Nuns Project in 2006 for assistance.

This place is basically meant for buddist monk and there relegious education , talking about the place it is a very nice infrastructure which is situated road side in short easily visible from the road , public transport facility is available from morning to 8 pm at night , rest talking about the atmosphere , it is very nice and as always weather of dehradoon is always pleasant , but yes canteen charges appears to be quiet high inside so better to avoid the canteen , a lot of famous cafes and restrauns are near by which also can be explored so its good place to pay visit to see the buddhist culture and no doubt environment is having a very positive vibes and energy

Very peaceful place. Actually its an institute of monks but if you go and request to see the temple, they will open the doors of the temple. So many artifacts are present in the temple and you can understand many things of tibetan culture. Photography is strictly prohibited inside. But,If you are a photographer and good in indulging conversations with people you can try taking portraits of monks there.

Its a great place I mean to be honest its dedicated to Buddha .God Buddha was a great king and humanitist of his time ,he helped people when they were struggling to get something. He teaches people to stay with truth , really, and to fight against evils. He also says the people to think about themselves rather than God. Thanks for reading rate this review please
This place is divine. A sense of peace and blessings prevail here! A must visit place for those who believe in God and his blessings.
We live in age where there is more music than ever before and thanks to a little thing called the internet this music is readily available at our fingertips. We really are spoilt for choice, if we’re being honest. So it follows that a lot of genuinely good bands go unnoticed, purely because there is so much choice and competition out there. To combat this many bands adopt quirky, peculiar or even downright ridiculous names that will grab potential listener’s attentions. This being said, may I introduce you to The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die. Even when abbreviated to TWIABP&IANLTD their name is longer than a lot of bands. The band play a mix of indie, post-rock and emo – like a blend of A Bunny’s Caravan, Moving Mountains, Mineral and The Gloria Record – and play it very well, indeed. Having only released a small but growing amount of material in their burgeoning career it is astonishing to hear how quickly they have mastered their sound.‘Formlessness’ is TWIABP&IANLATD’s proper debut EP (a demo featuring three of the four tracks found here was also released earlier in the yearand it is astounding to hear just how ‘natural’ it all sounds for a band who are still effectively in their infancy. Nothing sounds forced here – though clearly TWIABP… have made great effort in constructing such fragilely beautiful songs. While not sounding forced, every single note on ‘Formlessness’ sounds as if a great amount of love and care has gone into it.
Awesome buddhist temple.. Fully green and clean surrounding environment ..peaceful place..must visit ;)
A peaceful place with a great architecture. It is one of the must visit places in Dehradun.
Very nice place. This is a monastery cum educational centre of Buddhist monks. I do not have much idea of this centre, but I found the place very attractive, very quiet and pious. I went there in the middle of September 2016. There are so many students staying together in a three storeyed building just behind the main temple. In the campus there is a beautiful garden too. Visit to this place make ones mind full of positive thoughts and peaceful state of feelings. This monastery is located at Rajpur Road of Dehradun. Here in the name "Sakya" means a clan of saints. The Gautam buddha was belongs to that clan and therefore he is worshipped as Sakya Muni also. Muni means Monk or Saint.
Amazing place, best for meditation.
This place really given me peace and more energy to work harder for the community...
