Sakura Restaurant - Japanese restaurant in Charlottenburg-Nord, Germany
Excellent quality, especially when you expect less from an all you can eat. It was really good and had a variety of things, not just sushi. The only thing I was very disappointed about was the fact they didnt have sweet soy sauce.
Very nice place with good food and reasonable prices. Its recommended to book ahead cuz its pretty popular.
Very nice food (sooooo gooood)
Food was mediocre but the price for what you get is ok. We were there for lunch and understood there are many different offerings for the dinner. We were disappointed in the selection of "sushi" for the lunch as most of it was just vegetables or fake crab. Only one was real fish and was a tiny speck of salmon in a roll. Overall, still, for the price, its good.
The food is pretty good for a buffet and Im pretty picky about my Japanese food. The only thing I didnt like is that you have a certain time period you can eat, if you get there too close to dinner you might not have very much time AND staff doesnt tell you that when you walk in.
Know the rules before you go.You must order drink or they will charge you a fine of 2 EUR.And if you leave a Sushi roll in your plate they will charge you 0.5 euro. For each one. But any way most of them basicly vegy and not attractiveThe rest of food is good.
Poor quality sushi, tasted like it was stale, the hot food dishes were undistinguishabke from each other, limp salad and school dinner style dessert.
It was wonderful value for price as Japanese sushi and others buffet.I take this Sakura restaurant the best value-for-price Japanese buffet.
The buffet was excellent and the food quality was really good
Very rude dishonest people. They want to force you to order a drink, otherwise its a different price. This is false advertised. In addition very poor buffet and exceptionally rude staff. Definitely not recommended
All you can eat Sushi.. Sattttttt
One of the worst sushi restaurant I ever tried. Only vegan sushi. Few types of fish sushi and really a lot of rice. Only cash and the quality of the food wasnt good.
Really great and simply authentic Japanese sushi - not the overdecorated mayonnaise drenched instagram show-off stuff served elsewhere.Very friendly family run restaurant and our standard place whenever we go to town 👍🏽
Go there very often, it has a great variety and great price
Good food and the people there are super friendly
Basically a Chinese buffet restaurant with Sushi - but good food and fair price. Nice too sit too - relaxed atmosphere
The All you can eat offers value for money. Its not very sophisticated bur it comes at a friendly price. Your hungry ? Its your place.
Good place to eat, not very expensive. All you can eat menu, good service!
A great buffet! It included sushi, a variety of meat, noodles, rice, vegetables and dessert. Maybe try to include drinks for kids? The drinks are huge!
Went there because I wanted some all you can eat sushi, even though I knew their offer was split between sushi and general chinese food. The sushi was being slowly replaced in comparison with the chinese food, so at the end I ended up going more for the chinese food also because the sushi was ok-ish. Either way, if youre looking for a all you can eat chinese food with just some bits of sushi then it might be a good deal
You can choose "all you can eat". You have 120 minutes for it, you can taste soup, different kind of Sushis and fried fish and more... I suggest to you can eat fried banana end of meal. You can snack on your favorite flavors while having a nice chat with your friends. 😊 In addition, the employees are very sympathetic and smiling 😇
Perfect experience, great value for money, wide selection of all u can think of. Tastes better than some gourmet restaurants I have visited
Very nice place for meet with friends. Interesting and mixed asian menu’s: sushi, ice cream, candy bar, meats bar, vegetables and fruits. This restaurant its so cheap but food its so fresh.
The best buffet in Berlin!!! The quality of food is very good- everything is delicious and fresh. Sushi selection is very good, it was changing even during the dinner.Note that buffet price is valid only if you buy drink, otherwise is more expensive.
We went to the "all you can eat buffet" but the food is not really tasty. They are fine but I couldnt eat more than 6 sushi...which is kinda little for "all you can eat" 😅 Also you have to order a drink. So even though I went to a 9€ buffet I had to pay 14€ because the drinks are amazingly overpriced.
I love the Miso soup, ice cream, fryed food and everything but Sushis were not it bye-
Good place but the food quality is average. Too little choice for an evening price. We were obliged to order a drink (price higher than 3€for the buffet menu, in the evening, at 14,90€ and if we refused, the price rose to 16,90€.
I liked it. I was sceptical at first about "eat all you want" sushi place but the sushi and other meals were freshly made, good quality ingredients, and delicious combinations. 5 stars for food. I missed orientation by the staff. I came in, said its my first time and I want to know how this works. They had only 3 tables booked and I wanted them to explain to me and show me where to go and how to arrange myself a plate. They told me to sit here and asked if I want sth to drink instead. At first I didnt know that I can eat everything and that price is the same. I ordered that drink and I wasnt informed that drinks are not included in the price. So its a bit unclear, and I Googled the place and read about while eating their sushi. I judge this to be unprofessional and if I didnt live around the corner, they would have missed me and my friends that Im planning to bring. Also there was a menu and I still dont know whether I can order from the menu or I have to get my own plate and how that differs in price. So Im going again and bringing my friends but I still need more clarity.
Highly recommend this restaurant! My friends and I did the all you can eat nightly special for 15€ and was more than happy with the experience! There are so many options of both rolls and hot dishes, and many vegetarian options as well which is often hard to find at buffets. They had soups, noodles, stir fries, rolls and more. They even had dessert options. All the food was very good and they were always putting out more. I would definitely check in out- very worth the price!
We really enjoyed the all you can eat buffet and it was really delicious!! Just for 14,90, you eat not only sushi but many other dishes. My personal fav is cat fish! After this day, Sakura is our favorite sushi restaurant in Berlin:)
Advertised the all you can eat for €14.90, only to inform us after weve started eating that its €16.90 per person if we didnt order a drink for each person...The food was fine, not great, not terrible.Never again..
Such a bad service. And this is not an authentic Japanese restaurant! (This is more to a chinese restaurant, and a failed oneWe ordered the all you can eat menu, and they forced us to TAKE RICE. (in this case, it was 3 plates because we were 3 people). The forced us to order 3 plates of rice which came to be a very huge portion. They said it is a MUST but THIS RULE WAS NOT STATED IN THE MENU BOOK AT ALL!! Such a scam. They know, when we cant finish the food, we would be charged 2 euros each. WE WERE FORCED TO ORDER 3 HUGE PLATES OF RICE.The people were so unfriendly, which doesnt represent the japanese culture. I am a quarter Japanese. And this is such a scam. Please dont do go to this restaurant, seriously, it was one of the worst dining experiences that i have ever had in my life ever.
The atmosphere was great, but the food was better! I paid 10.90€ for the all you can eat buffet. (due to the coronavirus restrictions the buffet was closed so we ordered from the menu instead!I had sushi, miso soup, and orange chicken! I definitely recommend going there!
I tried the All you can eat menu for lunch but I got disappointed although it was recommended by others. The choices are very limited without any sashimi dish, only few sushi dishes. The California sushi is not as it should be. Most sushi choices are vegetable ones, not much fish and no shrimps. Too much rice. The quality of the sushi dishes I tried were below average. The fried chicken was burnt and oily. The waitress was rude when we dont speak German and couldnt understand her English. No free water included but 2€ added if we dont order drink! Not any dish of noodles. Lack of waiter and waitress then we had to wait for them to order although there were only a few guests at that time. To sum up, it is not as we expected, the price seems cheap but the choices are much limited even at that price plus drink.
The worst service (and sushi ricei’ve ever had. We didn’t understand how every menu worked and we didn’t speak german, but the waiter was very annoyed/lazy and didn’t pay much attention to each table. The bill was higher than we expected and we didn’t understand why. The waiter got a bit mad because we didn’t ask for menu options, but how Should we know if you don’t tell us? Sorry, but I really don’t recommend...
We had a great experience at Sakura Restaurant. The price for the buffet (10.90was very reasonable and I enjoyed the food. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff was very kind to us. Its one of the best sushi restaurants weve tried in town.
The worst restaurant I have met. the food is terrible. Sushi is too much rice, not fresh and they just want to get more money when I cant eat 2 pieces of rice.,and I had to pay 5 eu for them. What makes me angry is that the servers do not respect customers. My son is only 3 years old and cant eat sushi. I brought his own bread and the waiter said they saw my baby eat so I had to pay for the buffe. They really lack respect. There is nothing worse to describe
We checked the website because this place has been always a buffet and it did not said the contrary (For at least the last 6 years). Once we got in, there was not buffet anymore, but we decided to stay. Once we ordered the waiter took away the chopsticks saying it would be better a folk even when my husband asked to keep them. We ordered sweet sour pork and chicken with rice. We avoided any spicy or possibly spicy option and.. ¡Surprise! I could barely eat the food since for me was way too spicy and so did my husbands food....I dont think we will come ever again
I found this restaurant by chance of visiting a friend. Then I was three days in a row having late lunch there. Sitting by full-length window with fresh air, having unexpected fresh seared white fish; deliciously braised red beef ; garlic prawn; lazy pork and many sorts of sushi— the combination of the food quality and the dinning experience is way much much higher than the price. The service is friendly and fast. I have enjoyed everything here very much, can’t resist.
The new buffet system is better than the old one, everything is so fresh and although in the beginning I thought we would have to order a lot of times, since it is an all you eat buffet, the portions where really hefty and satisfying! I had missed it so much and I was very positively surprised with the new version of the restaurant!!!
Good food but there wasnt a lot of variation for 15 euro
The food is OK, sushi was mostly fresh but little choice. Teppanyaki was tasty but some items were over-salted and during our dinner the chef also went for a bite to eat so we had to wait a while before our plates were prepared. Overall, dont expect too much but this is also expected for a price of 14.90 for an adult in the evening hours.
Honestly I dont know how they do it. The amount of selection you get for 15 euros is ridiculous. I have to admit the dishes are mostly Chinese food but they taste really good! This place honestly deserves more business from the locals. The value is tremendous. (They even have teppanyaki included in the all you can eat!)
hello. im not a foodie but this restaurant is worst place where i have been.never go, because the food is too salty.
The food was not fresh, it tasted like it had been sitting there for the whole day if not the whole week. There wasn’t a very good selection of food choices either - and when a dish ran out they didn’t refill it, they just removed that item from the buffet. Not only were the limited food options disappointing, the food also made me start to feel sick very quickly due to the large amounts of oil and salt. The value for money was terrible, the food really was not worth €8,90.
Nice restaurant with delicious and variety of food, good value and kind staff. I was there many times when I visited Berlin....
9,9€ for unlimited buffet. I dont need to tell you that at a price like this you cant expect the quality to be high.A lot of choices, in fact, too many for the quality to be good. The sushi has very little fish in it and the taste is just not there. The kitchen is decent but you can find better for cheaper around the city.Freshness? Well, I guess its the bare minimum to comply with the law. Even the fruit and the vegetables are somewhat bland...Look elsewhere if you are in search of a good Asian food meal. Come if you are just looking to stuff your stomach, but dont expect to enjoy the ride.Suggestion for the owners: concentrate your resources on fewer items and raise the quality.
Nice Japanese buffet for €10. Sushi is made fresh on the spot.
It should be renamed as a Chinese/Japanese restaurant as there are equally as many Chinese dishes as sushi options. During 3-5pm everyday has the cheapest buffet option at €8.90.
I usually never leave reviews for restaurants, but i had to take a moment and warn you about Sakura. This place is not clean and the food is sub-par. When I went, there were only 4 tongs for all of the raw meat and vegetables. When I asked if they had more tongs because the others had dried up raw meat on them, the lady told me that you only use the tongs to pick up each item for just a second and that it wasnt a big deal. I told her it was a big deal because of cross contamination. She reluctantly washed a set and have it back to me. It was a truly gross experience and would highly recommend not going here until they clean up their sanitation standards. Unless you like food poisoning, then you can eat here all you want. Staff was real rude too. Not very nice.
