Beautiful town! Lots of history.
Gods territory on earth.
Very pretty area and a lot of history here
Love this area. We have been here twice this summer as one of my wifes oldest friends lives here. Love the area and laid back atmosphere. Good eats and drinks in the historic district. And, anytime i am near the water, I am happy. Going to have to come back as I have yet to make it to Cumberland Island.

Very nice small town. Despite the construction, plenty to do and see.
This is the place I call home....take a walk in the waterfront park, catch the Cumberland Queen to the island, check out the shops...always peaceful relaxing atmosphere
Come here!
Cute little area! St. Marys is awesome.
Great look into our past with some nice shops.
We were there during the riverfront parking rebuild, the road is torn up but still passable, the docks are also rebuilding and the Cumberland island ferry parking is a little far from the temporary dock at the east side park on the other side of the construction. People with RV will have a little bit of a hike to get there. The main park down town was wonderfull with lots of bench swings, scenic views, gazebos, amphitheater, some docks (be respectful of private docks). There is a wonderful shelter house that overlooks the marsh at the end of the main street with lots of benches. About 3/4 mile west there is a nice long board walk into the marsh with a wonderful scenic shelter house across from the historical cemetery and historical Saint Marys walk trail (tells the story of the area).
Good spot to swing into, almost a captive audience if you are heading over to Cumberland Island om the ferry, can be BUSY before and after ferry departs/returns, small farmers/craft markets Saturdays, worth a 2 hour stop. Restaurants are good, but slightly pricey, Breweries are entertaining spots to stop in.

Beautiful
St Marys is a beautiful place. Great place to walk by the river or sit on a bench in the park. There are a few places to eat and some shops to look around in. Usually very quiet place to enjoy the scenery
Very quaint detour just off 95 in Georgia
Clean quite friendly place. Great restaurants cheap saloons. Fishing docks , boat launch, incredible playground, waterfront walk along historic river that separates Georgia and Florida. Tons of dolphins in the river daily.
Nice place to visit
Discovered this area while visiting my son who is stationed at the kings bay sub base. We went just because it was on the river and we love riverfront anything. There were several old historic inns and cafes, as well as a very pleasant community area, with gazebo, a fountain, walkways, covered swings, several piers to walk out over the marshes to fish or just to watch and enjoy the view. All you wanted to do was explore. Just walk every cobbled inch of the area that we could. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to stay at any of the inns in the historic district, or eat at any of the cafes. We were able to experience the area at high tide, and then again the next morning while the tide was out. We plan on sailing out boat down the coast from the Chesapeake and renting a slip at St Marys for a month around November.
