Saigonz - Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand
I love Saigonz. My favorite rice noodles by far. Its so good that I visit them during Sunday markets weekly as well. Just disappointed that they dont open on time. I drove quite a long way to get here only to see that its still not open 30min after opening hours.
Best Pho I’ve had in town!! The service is consistently friendly and food is affordable. Highly recommend
Bahn Mi—- yum. I’ve enjoyed both the Lemongrass chicken and the Vegetarian (tofu & mushroom—with or without egg). Additionally, the pho is outstanding.I know there are Vietnamese restaurants all around the city. This one is worth a trip downtown. Between Britomart and Spark Arena. If you have any reason to go to either, you won’t regret stopping hear for a meal. All the flavours are fresh and tasty. Each item is well seasoned and prices are excellent.
Whoever said the best banh mi in Auckland was sadly mistaken. Have definitely had better (go to Comm Bay). Wasnt that quick either. A staff member questioned why I was wearing a mask which made me feel uncomfortable and gave bad vibes.
Food is really awesome.. looks simple but is actually very delicious! Im glad my first Vietnamese cuisine was a good experience here 😍
Always consistently fabulous dishes…Very hard working team producing great Vietnamese food….Hoping they do a Vietnamese Coffee soon🙏😉👍
Beautiful authentic food and friendly service. Great prices too. Will definitely return next time were in Auckland.
its 10:38am Friday . why you dont open yet? and dont get the phone
Awesome local Viet food and generous servings. Great after work
An old favourite. Eat in or takeaway. Very crisp fresh veges with a takeaway meal is very welcome when all I want to do is slump down in my hotel room at the end of the day
Lovely food and quick services (a bit of a noisy corner for trafficbut not the owners fault so remain 5 stars
Fantastic fresh food, small menu so they can focus on what they do well. Great hospitality, and they serve nice local wines.. This was my cab driver most favourite places food a good feed.. 👍 Delicious.
Delicious food (lemongrass beef was awesome, chicken noodle soup was okfriendly and welcoming service, and they let us sit inside with our small dog! Will definitely be a regular.
Dropped by at lunchtime today. The service was fast and efficient. The person at the counter was friendly and accommodating to our requests. The food was good and in generous sizes. The only downside was the too much MSG in the broth.
The most wonderful people. Worth taking a group and trying the set menu. Lots of tasty food.
Beautiful food! Beef Pho and spring rolls were delicious. Lovely family restaurant with great service and very clean and comfy interior. Look forward to coming and trying everything on the menu. Which is also dead cheap too! Highly recommend.
Beautiful and authentic tastes 😋. Was taken by a date and shes outdone herself showing me this place definitely will be coming back!
Basic restaurant but fabuloso food, enjoyed talking to owner, gave us the personal touch. Go there for reasonably priced tasty food. Eat in or takeaways.
Best chicken salad, I nearly eat it every day! The service and prices are great too.
Service was good. Pho was not too bad, I liked the slight acidity and freshness it provides. The vegetarian spring rolls were disappointing, it was soggy and “old” as it’s not fried per order.
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland.Good quality with good price!I always go there.
Only a quick stop here but its been good so far. Definitely willing to come back here on a much quieter night. But the Bahn Xeo was bomb!! The Bahn mi was a bit carrot heavy, could improve, was also hoping for a much cripsier bread and heavier pate n mayo, but thats just my personal preference. All in all the service was great!
Place is nice. Quite small which is ok.Little misleading on the sign on the front as said was closed when it was actually open (its normally closed on a Sunday, but when a show is on at Spark Arena they open).Food was great, very well priced too.The only con here was the interior, quite small and very very basic. Seating was poor and was very cold inside too (only a single heater high on the wall)
The look of the place is a bit shoddy, I expected more from a high rated place. The food is good, not as amazing as everyone is saying. Service was good, food came out very quick.
I like the beef noodle soup very much. Big sliced beef, tasty soup. Yummy.
Excellent service and nice dishes. Very nice green tinged interior. Nice.
What an awesome find in the city. A place like this may be unfamiliar unless you live/work around here, due to its location. However, it is definitely worth a detour if youre in the CBD. The price is surprisingly affordable for its quantity and the eaterys whereabouts. The summer rolls and bahn mi were delicious. Will definitely come back here to try other items.
It’s tasty! Lemongrass chicken is my go to whenever I’m around town and hit with some hunger pains. Simple and delicious. Would recommend
Yum yum yummy noodle soup in town..Me n husband bought beef soup and seafood noodle soup, both are so yummy..The broth, you can really taste it perfectly..I have been to few places for Vietnam cuisine but this Saigoinz is the best (so far)Also, the price only $13/noodle soup which is very cheap in compare with some others places that I have been visit.Location is easy to find, right in the centre, they have lots of dining table, so no need to worry could not found a seat.. :-)Really recommended!!PS, since then we became regular costumer here.. :-)
Delicious Pho just like in Nam. A pickled jar of garlic would go down a treat. Bahn Mi was really flavoursome but the baguette wasnt the typical Bahn Mi, more of a bread roll. Wish their menu was larger with bun bo nam bo or bun cha but alas!
My absolute favourite place for pho, I literally dream about the broth and I am completely satisfied each time I have it. Delicious treat and friendly staff. Love it and cant recommend enough
My family and I go there so often and we are never disappointed. Amazing staff and the restaurant is always spotless! Their chicken soup is amazing, I could have it everyday and probably wont get bored of it. good work 😊
Portion size adequate for a standard meal. Loved the consistency of the curry, apt flavors and easygoing ingredients. Not too rich. Light on the stomach n wallet at 13$
I ordered Vinemanes prawn fried rice...then I show the staff I want to use entertainment book voucher...but when I checked my food in the box at home my prawn fried rice became "beef" fried rice 😱 I ordered "prawn" not "beef"!! Please dont change what I ordered! ! I definitely wont going back for sure😠
Situated on a corner directly under the Waldorf Hotel we used this little place a couple of times as our aparthotel was close by. You can sit inside or outside which is a pedestrian area overlooking a busy main road. Its not a fancy place but the food is hot and tasty. We loved the hot noodles in this vietnamese eatery and had them to take away. The cost was $14 per portion and it was a really good portion. We took it back to our hotel for dinner.
I had a seafood pho at this place. The overall experience wasn’t bad. Service is good and quick and the soup was also tasty. In the seafood pho I found only two pieces of shrimps the rest were sliced fish balls. In a city with such a great access to fresh seafood you would expect a bit more. They also use only single use plastic:( I understood they have lots of take away costumers but those ones who eat there they also have to eat from them. It is really not environmental friendly at all! Please try to change that.
I come here regularly with my family. The beef pho is my favorite, the bread with lemon grass chicken or beef is very delicious too. A good place for cheap and tasty Vietnamese food. However this place uses too many plastic containers, if possible bring your all containers to dine.
Pho with rare beef was quite good, but bland, and the beef were actually fully cooked when they came, or maybe our orders were mixed up. Spring rolls were really tasty! Service was very friendly. Its only a great place for takeaway, easy meal or light snack.
The lemongrass beef is my favorite dish in this place. Decent sized plate that comes with a good amount of tender beef, vermicelli noodles and a side salad. Service is always fast and efficient no matter how busy the place is. Affordable and tasteful place :Always a good place to grab a testeful fast meal.
Great place for quick pre gig tasty cheap food, good options for vegies and vegan. Booze available also.Would give it a 5 in its category if it didnt serve everything in disposable plastic!
This food is simple but oh so good. I crave the lemongrass pork at least once a fortnight. Great service. Good for takeaway (not the most inspiring locale...). Bring your own lunch box!
Saigonz in the CBD was the perfect pre-concert dinner spot for a quick, delicious supper. Despite being normally super busy during concert nights at Spark Arena, we were still able to get a table and enjoy beautiful Vietnamese. I simply love the fresh summer rolls and lemongrass chicken. Highly recommended!
Saigonz is the number one place to visit every Friday lunch to get an excellent feed. Quality is always great, portion sizes big, comes out quick and always taste great. Price is very good value for money also.
Good value. Pho was great - I cannot speak to authenticity but beef was tender, fresh veg and a broth packed with flavor.
Ordered a beef pho( beef noodle soup), it tasted so good, just like an authentic Vietnamese meal that I had in Vietnam. The restaurant is clean the price is reasonable. They also serve food quickly even though it’s busy hours during lunch time. Great value for the money. Definitely would recommended.
Oh my word... just discovered this beauty today, delicious! Would offer photos but we gobbled it all up too quickly... especially the prawn and pork summer rolls with the highly addictive peanut sauce... great prices, friendly, and quick service too: what more could you ask?
No. 1 Vietnamese takeaway on my list. Banhmi and Pho are highly recommended.
Great range of food, gets crowded sometimes.. spring rolls are a must though!
While the place appears to be operated by Vietnamese, the taste was average and unfortunately, my lunch experience was interrupted as I had to move in order to give way to kitchen deliveries. Reasonably priced, the place is more suited for takeaways.
Had a bowl of pho ($10at this small joint with modernish decor. The broth wasnt the most intense Ive tasted -- it seems like theyve adapted it a little for western palates -- but it still made for a pretty decent meal with nice portions of beef included. Food came quickly, and the wait staff were pleasant. Not a bad option for a quick dinner.
