Saigon Thai in Moncton

My family tried this place out as it was the only place open around lunch time. Coming from Toronto if youre used to what the GTA has to offer, the tonkinese soup is unfortunately a let down. Trying multiple dishes, the pad thai and Singapore noodles were actually pretty good. Little heavy on the salt but flavours are there. Staff were attentive and great to talk to. Would recommend the food if you just want a quick bite instead of fast food.

I give the food 5 stars.This fabulous gem is usually an ovrall great place to eat.We went there tonight and the new waitress ruined our experience.She was rude at the beggining and she forgot our drinks multiple times.The tea POT we ordered had less than a teacup of water and when we asked for more water, she never came back.Waited over 30 minutes after we were done with our meal for the check, resulting in needing to go to fetch the waitress ourselves.It was upsetting since there was only one other occupied table and she made it very obvious that she did not want to be there.

My wife and I found this place a couple years ago and absolutely love it! Probably out favorite restaurant in Moncton. (We love Asian food). If youre into the Thai and south-east Asian flavor this place is the best! I would literally give it 6 out of 5 stars. The best PHO Ive had anywhere locally. Their noodle dishes, basial chicken (full of fresh basil!Oh man... Just go. Just go eat there and love it too.

I won’t recommend wonton soup. $15.5 is too much for 12ish wonton. Made by frozen wonton is quite tasteless.

Great portion sizes. Ingredients were all very fresh. Taste was good but could have been a little more flavourful. Felt it was missing a little something. But still recommend it.

These good reviews must be bots, there is no absolute way this place is 5 star.place. The waitress was extremely rude and the food was tasteless, puts shame to Vietnamese and Thai food.

We came from PEI to shop for the day and Im so happy we stopped in to Saigon Thai. We ordered a few dishes and everything we had was absolutely delicious- fresh, light, and flavourful. The Pad Thai was my favourite (good Thai restaurants dont exist in PEI). Cant wait to return next time were in Moncton!

I don’t know what is up with this restaurant lately but food for pick up isn’t at all at this restaurant regular standard. Today the pad Thai was super dry almost no sauce nor veggies. It was basically noodles only. The previous order was a lemongrass chicken which is my usual go to meal. It was so bad I threw most of it in the garbage. It’s not because it’s order for pick up that it’s ok to just throw food in a container knowing the client paid and left with it. Not right. Saigon Thai is one of my favorite restaurants in town but I’m done ordering for pick up. What a waste of money and so much disappointment.

Always great quality. Always get the imperial roll.

Fantastic meal and service. We were traveling to Moncton for a few days and happened upon this gem. The Wonton soup was delicious and flavorful and my 2 roll vermicelli were wonderful and made for quite a large meal. Thank you and we will be back for sure.

Wow! We ordered there for the first time. Everything was very tasty and high quality. The meat was very tasty and good quality. All the meals we ordered were delicious.

Papers please ?! Owners sent us to the street to eat like dogs. But this review wont reflect that. Pho soup noodles a bit hard and small portions. Ok.

I had the biggest and best imperial rolls in my life here. This place has set the bar for imperial rolls for the rest of my life. The beef red curry was also super delicious. The rice came in the shape of a heart which was super cute. My wife had the Pad Thai, and thought it was delicious too. I hope to be able to return to this amazing little restaurant one day!

As we walked in to Saigon Thai an easy relaxer Vietnamese country village feel was in the air. A soft midnight jazz tune played. We sat down chatted a bit, then ordered. The waitress was very friendly and joyful. I ordered the Pho as entrer and followed up with the Bun Kho. My wife also had the Pho and then the Pad Thai. Our guess had the Imperial roll and Pad Thai. Everyone was more than satisfied with their choice of meals. We will be returning hear the next time we are in Moncton.

Now we are talking real food, so you have your options to pick chicken, beef, and seafood, and I dont want to forget the big corner for vegetarians. The wor bar is a good one to try if you are a fan of sea food and some cool brandy smoke from pouring it on front of you on the hot delicious ( lobster, shrimp, scallop, and a variety of vegetables*check the pictures*Staff are friendly English/French. Recommend that you reserve, 4 stars only, because when we showed up I asked to be on the table beside ours because it is the corner, and the seater said NO! However, we left and it was still clean and empty. In general nice place and I would go back again.

Ive lived coast to coast in Canada and I have to say this is quite possibly the BEST Thai/Vietnamese food Ive had yet!! Completely surpassed all my expectations! I highly recommend the spicy egg noodle ( Singapore noodles - perfection!! 🤘

It was ok. Spring rolls were full of lettuce and 2 shrimp. Normally they have rice noodles. Lemongrass chicken didnt even have a hint of lemongrass and some greasy brown sauce. Chicken was very overcooked and tough. Spicy egg noodles were ok but again nothing special for the cost of the meal. Only positive is the food came hot but would probably not order again.

I got take out from this place. Overall the food was very good. The broth from the pho was very good. Also had the pad thai and tasted really good. Would eat from here again.

Some of the best Viet in town! Staff is incredibly sweet always, always checking in and happy to get you what you need. Fast with water refills which honestly is very underrated but important for me. I cannot recommend the lunch specials enough, so delicious, good portions for your price. Nice atmosphere, music plays very lightly but not so quiet that you cant really tell if something is playing which I hate. Very nice seating. They follow covid regulations well. All in all i love this restaurant

Wonderful service, amazing food. We order take out and they where so careful for food allergies, the staff was lovely to deal with. The food was perfect, flavors incredible, can not wait to order again.

I’ve ordered take out from here many times, and the food is amazing! A full hearty meal that will leave you feeling full and energized. I sat down in the restaurant on Canada day and the service was wonderful, they even gave out ice cream with the most delicious sauce on top! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat well at a reasonable price.

I ordered recently from here through SkipTheDishes. I was so full and the food was excellent. I also ordered cake for dessert but had to save it the next day.

Got the phai Thai 19.50 later 2 pieces of shrimp (overcooked). Was a good portions but very bland no flavor at all no spice or anything, shoppers drug mart has more flavor. will not return cant wait for fuzion to open again half the price twice the Thai

The spot is nice and calming, ate in about 2 or 3 times, but I order take out often. Very good food, Healthy and Tasty. The Lemon Chicken is the best I ever had. My co-workers eat other things and we never got disappointed from the food of that place. Definitely a place to go eat if you are looking for healthy and tasty food.

One of my fav places to eat in town. Their curry is literally the best thing in the world. The best part about this place is it’s location. It’s tucked into Orange Lane, so it’s not too too busy around it. Lots of places to park around and the staff is friendly and will remember you if you are a returning customer.

The food was good. Price was a little more north of value. I was not impressed with the staff who served me with my take out order. Short, and borderline rude, little positive engagement. I have heard good things about this restaurant , they just didnt earn my next visit

Best thai in New Brunswick! Good service, good prices and its my spot to eat when Im in Moncton. I always get takeout for the next day because I cant get enough and live 3 hours away. Love this place!

I just had a 6.5 meal with a crazy price..$$$ its was good but price dont meet the size.. Ive had better the Asian mini Noodle was much better they are true Viem-Thai.. not South Korean Cooks.. sorry foks.. not returning.. here I come again Asian Mini Noodle!! Bkp

Excellent thai restaurant! We had a great dinner here today -- the food was very fresh and delicious (I had chicken pad thai and my boyfriend had pho soup and chicken skewers). Our server was very helpful, cheerful and friendly. I was able to enjoy a dairy-free & gluten-free meal, which can be tough to come by. We will go back here again for sure! Highly recommended.

Arrive starving in Moncton so we ventured into Saigon Thai. We were very happy with our choice.It was the best Thai / Vietnamese Ive had in a long while. I loved this restaurant, the decor, the food, the tinkling fountain in the background.We had the veggie spring rolls, which had a crunchy and chewy wrapping (not something Ive had beforewith tofu and veggies inside. We also ordered the seafood wok, thai noodle, shrimp curry and tofu noodle. All were excellent, well balanced flavors, lots of shrimp / seafoid in my curry and the wok, tons of tofu in the noodles. Less shrimp in the thai noodle, but it is also quite a bit cheaper than the other two dishes. The mango smoothies were thick and tasty, and the house white was a good match and a generous pour.

Worst Thai food I have ever had🤢😷 Spring rolls were impossible to chew through, not sure what the nasty looking mystery meat was that they put in the spring rolls, all I know is that I specifically asked for vegetarian spring rolls which the woman said they could do🤷🏼‍♀️ Won’t be ordering from here ever again. Extremely disappointed. Save your money for Red Satay, they know how to make food that’s actually enjoyable.

Love the food and its a nice and quiet atmosphere. Perfect place for special occasions or to bring a date. The lunches are awesome and they do takeout!

Although the food was decent (over priced but edible), we did have to wait easily 45 min if not an hour to get our entrés and another 30 min for our meals. They clearly need more kitchen staff. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she became extremely defensive and unkind saying that it’s better to come earlier and pretty much explained to us how to manage our time as customers.

The food was amazing! Prices were a bit more than Im used to paying (Im pretty cheap), but the food was well worth it. Presentation was great, it tasted great, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back!

I usually love this place! Their bhan daps are sooo great!But today destroyed my faith in them. We called and they were busy. Our food would take 45 minutes to be ready, no problems. I always order they deconstructed when I take out, the waiter said it wasnt possible. She asked the manager, who said no. I ask if I could ask the manager myself because I usually get it no issues, the waiter asked me if I spone Korean... then procedes to talk to the manager in English... which she finally understood my request and said: oh yes, that we do no problems.My boyfriend wanted a soup, she ask me small or large (I didnt know they had two sizes), I turned around to ask him, and the waitwr on the phone told me: faster girl, im busy!Ok, we though maybe they having a bad day.My boyfriend went to get the food when they say it would be ready, he had to wait an EXTRA 45 MINUTES!That is enough, it happened to me once and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but today, it killed it. I do not wish to go there again :/. Bad custumer service and long waiting time for me today.

Service was top notch but the food was bland. Asian food is full of flavour and this place was severely lacking. I asked for spicy red curry and essentially got warmed up coconut milk. My friend got salad rolls and is was lettuce and one shrimp.

I was there twice and though the speed increased from my first visit to my second, it was still slow. The first time it took about 2 hours after ordering for our table of 6 to get our food. It tasted great but we saw people who arrived after we had already ordered complete their meals before we got ours. The second visit, the food was even better but it still took about an hour for our table of 3 to get our food. Again, other people in the restaurant got theirs before we did so it could be a coordination issue.

Love this place. The food is delicious, and the service is great. My only disappointment is that the Vegetable Tonkenese soup is beef based, rather than vegetable.

Tried the Thai Curry Chicken, Cashew Nut Beef, and Wonton Soup, all of which were extremely tasty and well-prepared. The wontons were hand-made and much better than any other I tasted. Decor and atmosphere were serene and very welcoming. Would definitely love to come back again!

I ordered here for the first time today. I went off of some of the other reviews and ordered the Thai Curry Chicken and Imperial Roll. I am glad I tried it. Thank you for a great meal :)I changed it from liked it to loved it. Cant believe how much food was actually there. Awesome experience :)
