Saging Repablik - Cafe in Davao, Philippines
💕
We waited for almost an hour, only to be told that our food hasnt been cooked yet. We were so HANGRY!
Sadly, mango was not available that time.
Excellent customer service and mouth watering meals! I love the rustic ambience!
A great place to visit for courting, couples, barkada or even family,,,, affordable,,, nice ambiance
Spacious rooftop restrobar with good ribs and reasonable prices. Beer selection, like most places is severely lacking. Could use a couple good drafts. 1st level cafe nice, but they didnt have banana pancakes or French Toast for breakfast, guess just not a thing here. Anyway the rooftop is worth a visit when in Davao. Its likely one of the best to hang out. Enjoy!
Great service and good food. But dont order the garlic chicken - what a waste.
Love the decor and open feel of the space. Food is good too! Prices are reasonable. ❤ They are open at 8am but breakfast meals are available all day long.
The place is a bit warm which creates discomfort. It seems they lack service crew coz it takes very long for them to attend to customers requests
The place is AWESOME! Theres a live band that serenades you while you have fun with your friends. The place is open cause its situated at the rooftop. The place is wide enough to accomodate at least 50 people (my estimate only). What I like about the place is that they offer a variety of food and drinks. 😊
together with my sister and niece, we tried the place and for me it is a disappointment!!! we ordered gambas and sisig; gambas doesnt taste gambas at all and the sisig, we had to pay for the egg. . .this place is overated in all levels. . .at least the staff is commendable but among others, if I can give it zero star, I will!!!!
Foods are amazing and there is a lot of delicacies related of course to Banana which is a must-try. The ambiance is good with accommodating waiters while the entire place is Instagram-able.
The place has a unique ambiance that can set your mood good while waiting for your food, this is one of the places where I invite my foreign friends for dinner. The food serving is satisfying. Mostly, if not all, of their dishes are served with kinds of banana (makes sense where its name came from - "saging" means banana).Davao region produces the largest portion of banana exports from the country, such a great pride this resto serves on the table. After a delectable dinner just upstairs is the cosy "the Deq" bar where to loosen up and chill to the tune of the live band. They serve local and common alcohol drinks, they might not have those foreign-loved drinks like budweiser, heineken, etc, but mostly local.Customer service is average, mostly untrained, lucky if you get a crew who pays much attention.
The pulled pork pandesal sounds small but it was super big. It was very filling and yummy.
A place to dine or chill with family and friends
I love everything about this place.
Banana lovers will find this place perfect :The desserts are not overly sweet (which I personally like), ambiance is very rustic, worth the walk or a place that you really go to for a good foodie experience. Wished we had more than just "dessert" but if what we sampled is an indication, its pretty awesome!
Loved the place. Enjoyed the Smoked Bangus in Pomelo Sanigang plus the brewed coffee😍
The ambience is nice, the food we ordered were tasty and I wished we couldve tried other food in their menu but we were too full already. Perhaps next time.
I really hate their spare ribs here. Its not really a spare rib. :( Their food is too pricey for its quality. Some crews are not even listening to what the customer is saying. I requested cold water and I was given a regular tap water (not cold). The crew didnt even talk to me to let me understand why I was not given a cold water. :(
Industrial-retro inspired interior really worked on this cafe. The staff are very attentive. We ordered ice white mocha and it was really good. Not so sweet, but strong enough to keep you up! Though we were kinda disappointed with their cashew sansrival. It tasted like a frozen cake. Too sweet. Also, beware of their toilets. They are not properly maintained! Overall, it was okay. Not good. Just okay. The ambience is one of its very few that ticked the box.
All dishes have banana in it. Which makes it really unique.
********* (Speechless☺ A must to go restaurant in Davao City. A cafe shop/pastries shop/restaurant at the first floor and a they also selling alcoholic beverages at their second floor. Their foods are very delicious, must try their saging red velvet (not sure about the name but kinda like that also their coffee, soo yummy 😋 kalevel ng Starbucks 😂
Serving is good but sometimes whats on menu are not always available.
I see a big improvement here. If you are in for some good music and great food, #Deq is still one of the best choices in Davao City. Aside from their good selection of beers and alcoholic beverages, their Sisig and Saging dishes are truly a delight. Service is fast and the outdoor ambiance is pretty relaxing for that epic chill-out with friends.
First time to visit a resto with a unique concept. All food have banana. Masarap, affordable and served fresh.I like the ambience and the interior of the store. Also, They sell items with their business trade name. They also have a unique table number. It can be turned to a bar at night because of its interior. Steel wood and unusual materials have been used for the designs at least when I first visited the place. If you want to be adventurous and try something unique, you can try Saging Repablik. If I will go back here, I will try their baked goods because I was only able to try 3 dishes. Arros ala cubana, Adobo, i forgot the name of the 3rd dish pero lahat naman ok yung lasa. It’s a self service resto, you have to stand in line, pay your order, and wait for your order to be served. The TV let’s you plan for your next visit as it entices you for the other food you have yet to try. Very effective marketing strategy because most of the consumers are very visual. Also, their photos and videos were well madd. The colors are vibrant, it will really make you come back. This is one of the restos I have tried in Davao that is memorable not because of an important or unforgettable experience I had but because of its unique amd catchy concept. Will I go back? Probably Yes if I will visit Davao again. Will I recommend the place, definitely. This is one of the must-trys in Davao.
Great restaurant and a unique one. Metal and wood ambiance... rustic. Very unique. Huge parking space. Attentive waiters. Nice food and reasonable price.
I went yo this restaurant twice. The food was very good. The service was also quite good.
The place is hip and modern. Food tastes great and have a funny twist of names
Their gigingka is delicious. I love the fact that their dishes include bananas in the ingredients
I love thier food and its ambience. Also thier live performances during weekend.
Had bacon and eggs saging repablik style w. Waiter was fairly attentive. 5 stars
I love their banana infused in all of their recipes. Its just a little bit expensive but it.s all worth it.
Food, atmosphere, and creativity is nice. Cozy place if you want to chill and if you want to party the top floor is the place to be..
The Good are great, cakes are so tasty, and the friendly very accommodating staff 🎈💖💖💖
100% good customer service. Their foods are great. Youre not wasting your money in this place. 👏👌
Their pork sinigang is very delicious...but service is very slow. It takes forever to serve the dish, to give the dessert and even to give the bill and the change! If patience is not your virtue, then this place is not for you.
Serving amazingly delectible versions of Filipino "kakanin"/desserts with Banana as the base hence the name. Desserts are a must. Their take on the classics. Although not for the average Davaoeños.
Nice park idea but poor maintenance
A must go to restaurant to eat in Davao city. Very creative food fusion with banana. I hope they will have branches in Metro Manila. 😊
I tried their best seller cake and their best selling bibingka and its to die for. Come and visit this place and youll never regret.
I brought some products in Singapore and my workmates love it. Banana chips with different flavors. They have cakes and rice meals as well.
Everything tastes good from authentic Pinoy dishes and creative banana desserts plus a cozy interior. Nice place for meet-up with friends. The exterior design of the place looks interesting and inviting as well.
Didnt expect to have an awesome lunch here. I thought all they offer are overrated banana desserts but I was wrong & impressed by the dishes and Pinoy food with a twist offerings. It was a great lunch and yes banana desserts are delicious too and the cakes too!
Serving exemplary Pinoy faves, Saging Repablik elevates the banana to an art form. This resto has been packing it in since it expanded to its multi-level form for its reinvention of dishes infused with the common ordinary saging. Bestsellers are their humba, pochero, prok ribs, sisag (sisig with saging), all sinfully deli which could leave you asking for more rice! For the health conscious, they have pomelo salads and veggie dishes. Desserts are also aplenty starting with their superb Banana Walnut Torte and their famous Gigingka! Their Gatchips banana chips with its own various dips have grown so popular that the owner Gatchi (of Blugre famewas inspired to create its spin-off, The Chipperia.
I have been. Here once and I love the place. Very suitable for those who wants to relax listening to live band...
Great place to unwind. Foods and service are good! Good for groups not for family/dates night.
A nice place to unwind, enjoy a wide variety of banana chips. During the night you can enjoy a cozy bar at the rooftop called the "deq" . They have live band to serenade you while enjoying a bottle of beer.
Just superb Filipino Food at its finest, I also have to say the coffee is one of the best I have had in and around Davao City
The food and atmosphere really is good. I had a sandwich there that really is one of the better ones Ive had in Davao. And the other food I tried was pretty good too.
