Sagardi - Basque restaurant in Los Reyes La Paz, Mexico
Good food, good presentation. Very good service. Just a little extra salt in every dish I ordered
Very nice ambience and the meat is excellent, I recommend you to try the arrachera.
Sonora Prime never disappoints. Our waiter Yael is the best. Highly recommend the Polanco location.
Really cool place, food is quite good and drink are great. Not so good is that families with kids go there
The service is awful. I spent a week in Mexico and this was the worst service that I had in the entire country. After we ordered our steaks I could hear them say this gringos dont know what they are doing. Normally people are very understanding and speak slowly so that i can speak Spanish with them. I asked them three times to speak slowly so I could speak Spanish. If you are not fluent in Spanish DO NOT come to this restaurant. Somehow at the end of the meal the waiter speaks fluent English when hes asking for a tip. They are very pushy and try to upsell. I ordered a $75 bottle of wine and they come back and say they dont have it and offered three $300 bottles. That is not appropriate. The servers took food away from the table without asking if we were done with food. This was the worst service that I have ever had.The food was tasty. Good job to the chefs.
Great service! Great food! Great drinks!
Terrific!!! One of my favorite spots, thank guys 😋
Very nice restaurant with a pretty good ambience with a nice wide variety of choices for food options. The drink menu has lots of good options.
Great presentation but not the greatest meat. But the ambiance and cuts of meat and variety are amazing
Very cosy restaurant with multiple floors. Good service, nice range of clients. Good service, filet was amazing, gets well accompanied with they’d smashed potatoes and gravy sauce
Unbelievable, just expect it to come at a cost to your wallet
wanted to try one of the regular burgers, although apparently they now only carry the wellington. would advise sticking to some other dishes, much better burgers around, for the same or cheaper. the fries were also soft and some of the most disappointing ive had of late.
Great as always.Make reservations aheadExcellent service and food.Dont forget to try the Ribeye asparagus as entrée.
Did I see someone say great prices? lol! $115 for a corona. It’s more of a rip off than the normal SGs and it’s identical food. As always the staff are pushy and try their best to scam you. I honestly don’t know how they think that helps them. It just makes me tip them less.
We went in on Thursday about an hour and half before closing time, from hostess to servers they did not seem to want us there just because it was close to closing time but we were there just for drinks, they reminded us constantly about the time, no wonder it was very empty in there the service was bad, its like they dont want to make money 2hrs before closing. We were ready to spend but they said they dont sell by the bottle and each drink is served with a whole soda mixer drink just to overcharge you. Only good thing about the place was the decor
With drinks, it’s about USD$200+ per person. Expensive but great vibe, great environment, good food.I wish you guys could sing a birthday song or more people come clapping for us when celebrating.
This restaurant is fantastic. Great food, great vibes, decor, music, service and prices. You will also give it 5 stars!
Very very delicious food and great service! Highly recommended
Delicious! Bit expensive but it worths.
Incredible! The food was excellent but the service was what really set the place apart. Table side food prep, a cocktail cart with a mixologist, great wait staff. The manager was even out on the floor greeting everyone. Best meal I’ve had yet in CDMX.
Excellent music, good food, ambient is like home, they know how to handle big group of persons.
My family likes the food and we went 2 times to the one in Miyana, both times we asked for a Factura every time they made us wait around 20 mins saying they can’t print it out and they’ll send it to my mail but they never did. 2nd time I had to go to them and they printed the Factura, 3rd time (yesterday nightsame happened to the one on Mazaryk. Made us wait for half an hour no Factura. Tried to do it online next day said invalid Ticket Number. Sent them an email on their website no answer. My wife called tonight and after waiting 30 minutes on the phone they answered, promised to send the Factura, and of course, they never did. I’m really sick of them and their lies and unprofessionalism, and I’m not going to Sonora anymore and not recommending it to any of my friends or family, for the lack of respect for their customers.
Good bar-restaurant. We went in, and discovered that the actual upper floor which serves as a bar even has a smoking section, so we preferred a story below where the view isnt as good but theres no smoke. The attention is great and the waiters do recommend good drinks.
Sonora Grill it’s a beautiful hip place! I went to the one in Masaryk, Polanco. I got a nice table at the terraza since my guests smoke. Airy with great music and huge screens with amazing videos.I am giving a 4 star review due to a few items we order like the beet salad was not good at all, and the service we received from our waiter. He simply forgot things constantly, didn’t pay attention to us much, we had to look for him every time and it’s a big restaurant. Our steak was great so as the hot sauces and different salts. And it’s great to get a few perks like they do offer. Will definitely recommended hope you have better luck with your service. Be ready to pay at least $900 pesos per person average. And make a reservation! Have fun
If you visit Mexico City you cant miss this restaurant. We were visiting CDMX from California and had a fantastic time there. Top drinks, food, service and location. I hope I can go back soon.
We were visiting from Australia and this place rocks. We went for dinner and everything was amazing. The atmosphere. The music. The service. And omgosh the steaks were incredible. Our favourite was the Australian. Not kidding. Tender and delicious.
Really nice place to eat good meat.Atention its very good.Wanna go back already.
If you are a meat lover and enjoy craft cocktails this is the place to go! World class meat and amazing pairings. Their mixologia is worth exploring if you have a taste for alcohol.
If you don’t mind chain restaurants this is a great upscale casual spot for a night out of dinner and drinks.I loved the design of the building, the music (though a loop that gets repetitive on multiple visits), the drinks, and the food. The food menu is a good mix of casual items to more luxurious cuts of meat and fish, so there is something for everyone.Their two for one cocktail drink program makes the overall bill great value for money and a place I would go back for a night of dinner and drinks. The staff were great. We were greeted in reception with the opportunity to order drinks while waiting, they apologized several times for the wait, and always kept our table clean once we were seated. Though you can tell there is a lot of pressure on the staff and managers to up-sell, it came across as mostly hospitable. English speaking manager made it easier to make a selection as well.
Had the Australian Wagyu medium rare. Steak was amazing - very large cut so I suggest that people consider sharing. Flavor was out of this world.
One of the best restaurants in Mexico I have been to if not the best. The food was beyond excellent and the service is great also ambiance. Take a date or go with friends or take the whole family they have something for everybody. I highly recommend this place if you like good food and service. You will enjoy this place.
Not the best experience I have had. We arrived by the time it opened but nothing was ready. The guy on the front door was speaking over the phone and made us wait. Then he told us we should wait more because nothing was ready yet. We then got a table assigned and ordered food, including a salad. The salad never came, they forgot and we ended uo canceling it. The food was very good, so that is the 2 stars. But the restaurant services kept being bad. The manager is supposed to check on the tables, but that never happened. When we tried to pay they didnt allow us to tip what we wanted, they would only accept certain amounts of tip. Then at the end they said they would give us a coupon for the next visit if we completed a survey. We did the survey but never received the email with the coupons. Although the food was very good, Polanco is full of places with excellent food. And many of them offer a better and more reliable restaurant service. I would recommend Dante restaurant, which has the same quality of food but much better and reliable service.
Service is just the best, the waiters were very nice with us, and the food was just great, drinks are always 2x1 and very well served. Its a good choice for dinners with family, friends or a date, portions are good enough for sharing.
This is the place to go if you want a proper steak. The aged beef is seriously one of the better I have had. The atmosphere is also good, but the music is a bit too loud for my taste.
Excellent Place, Great Food and Excelent Service
Everything was delicious!!! Service and atmosphere were good too. Prices are according to the area. Servings are good size, dont expect too much as in most of its kind restaurants. At night it gets funky and turns into a cool place to meet friends.I will definitely go back.
I have been to a few other Sonora Grill Prime locations before. My experience at this location today was not so great. Waiters were not on point at all. Food was good/ok , not great as it has been in the past. Best part of our dinner was our drinks. I would still return to Sonora Grill but not to this location.
Very nice location and super food! We visited with meat and seafood eaters and everyone left with a smile on the face. The service is very good and proactive all the time from arrival until departure and in between there is the outstanding food.
Cool place with good food. Service was good but slow. Music was too loud to have a nice lunch conversation. The escamoles were great, the queso fundido with chilorio was very good and the steaks were solid. Dont get the lomo, it was the least tasty of the steaks and the most expensive by far (it was recommended by the waiters...).
The food was great, but I don’t give a two star rating for the food...the music was so loud it felt like torture during the whole meal. We asked the manager if he could lower the volume..he assured us he would...so we ordered. It was too late to leave after ordering our meal. After we left,‘ we could still hear the music two blocks down. I recommend management listen to its clientele when asked to lower the boom on the music. It’s a restaurant not a club.
Delicious food! Great meat and stakes and good cocktails variety. Lunch can easily turn into a party really quick. Dont come here if you are on thight budget though.
One of the bougie-st places in Mexico City, Sonora Grill Prime did not exceed my expectations. I found the place "just okay". If you do not have a reservation, they make you wait outside the place, even if they have tons of empty tables inside. I actually dont get why they have two hosts if they seem to be less than zero helpful. Food was good. We had the rib-eye tacos, served with cheese cooked with white wine. They have around 8 different sauces to try, all which were great. Desserts seemed delicious, but huge, and since my companion did not want to share, I sacrificed. Tomato soup was kind of sweet, to my taste. Nothing spectacular to report. #LetsGuide
High end restaurant chain with several locations in Polanco. Fancy environment with big tables and plenty of space. Big monitors display popular international music videos. The menu is primarily meat based. Portions are honest, quality is excellent. Overall it is not cheap but worth what you pay.
Nice environment and great foodService is good but turns too intrusive at times. Music is too loud for a bar - very difficult to have a conversation.
Amazingly good steakhouse with a great trendy people, the service is just good, but everything you try will please you
We have been to many four star and upscale restaurants all over the US in cities like Dallas, Chicago and Miami and not one of them compares to the level of service that we received at Sonora Grill. They were so professional, pleasant, attentive, courteous, and just "on it"! Next was was the food and cocktails: once again - UNRIVALED! The fact that the "mixologist" handmade our drinks at our table was incredible not to mention we each had three drinks a piece they were so well crafted. Although our meal was well pricey, it was well worth it and I would be willing to bet we would have paid much more, gotten less quality and quantity of food and much worse service in the states. Extremely well done!
Overpriced! Meat quality is very poor, they claim is sterling silver choice but in fact is low quality of select. Almost no marble at all in my center rib eye. Nice ambient and happy hour 2x1 all night long.
Amazing food! Great service!! Love that place!!!
The place is pretty, the vibe is great, and the food and drinks were also good. The reason why I only give 3 stars is because 1they told us it was 2x1 on all drinks, and a friend asked can I have my second glass of wine? And the waiter said yeah. When the check came they charged her the two glasses of wine, and we told them that there was a mistake but they said then that the 2X1 didnt apply to wine. 2we all pay a portion of the check but the guy ended up charging us more money each and it wasnt under the account of tip. We realized after we were leaving when we checked how much we each paid and how much was the bill. This was VERY DISAPPOINTING!
No English menu, but they have a waiter that will come over and read the menu and make recommendations based on what you like. Service was excellent. They have USDA steaks and Mexican steaks that are a little cheaper. I had the Mexican demarco ribeye, appetizer, and several beers for 600 pesos.
