Well maintained, located in the foothills of Aravali mountains and surroundings are beautiful.
Amazing place to visit.
Good place to hangoutPeaceful and awesome view
Pond with nature view..!👍
Love this place incredible alwar😍🥰
Old pond designed for water activities & water supply by the emperor of alwar.
Same thing with this place to, as it is with chattar.Lack of maintenance is making this beautiful place less attractive and the water is becoming more and more dirty and smelly.
Nice place but need to clean pond
Location:This exquisite Pond is located just behind the City Palace and below the Alwar Fort in Alwar City.History:The construction of this Pond was started in 1804 A.D. and it was completed in 1813 A.D.Architecture: It becomes very picturesque during the rainy season. The tank has a flight of steps leading down to the water level and is surrounded by 12 chhatries or cenotaphs built of red marble slabs. The pond is one of the most beautiful places on Earth when brimming with water during the rainy season.
This place is fine, but it will be better if it is cleaned from time to time.
This is one of the best place in Alwar it gives you the historic vibes and a feel of Banaras. If managed properly this could be a great tourist attraction. Water in the pond is not at all clear. You must visit here.adjacent place is musimaharani ki chatrri.Tip - visit here early morning at the time of sunrise you will get amazing pictures and less crowd..No entry fees
It is a water reservoir you will not have the mind to come away from, it has so many dimensions to be admired that it can take days to be enjoyed. The structural symmetry and beauty is mesmerizing to the extreme, because it is not built as an ordinary reservoir but as a masterpiece of design and beauty. The steps that lead to the depths of this deep pond are perfect. The seven or eight pavilions are clever and systematic and serve the purpose of leading to the water, staying around it , observing and admiring it an art in itself. It is enclosed by the grand palace on the east, the long array of ornamental buildings on the west, the Memorial Chhatri on the south and the great majestic mountains in the north and west .The scenery, comprising all the masterpieces, with the backdrop of the mountains is a visual pleasure to be experienced to be believed.
Very beautiful and calmness level is so high Aravli hills with sagar pond.
Superb and Divine 🤘👍 lovely place to visit, specially in rainy season.
An artificial lake within the vicinity of City Palace, which was built by Maharaja Vinay Singh in 1815. An elevated door shaped pavilion is built within the Vinay Vilas Mahal, which depicts the pride and honor of Rajput kingdoms.
The place is looks good with the perspective of architecturally but the pond smells bad because of dirty water, it should be clean. The green water in the pond consist of dirty water.
A very fine tourist attractions for foreigners as well as for the locals also. A historic place having many monuments. The location comprises of Alwar museum, MOOSI MAHARANI KI CHHATRI, City Palace, BAKTESHWAR MAHADEV MANDIR, mansa mata mandir, Krishan kund and many more. You can hire local guides here.
Place is very good but due to the lack of care the water in this pond is not clear and clean. If this is cleaned than this pond can also be used as a boating purpose and it is also said that the depth of the pond is very Deep.State Government should take initiative for that so that this place can be more attractive
Very Beautiful Place. Sagar Lake is located at the back of the City Palace. So lovely place. It was constructed in 1815 AD. This beautiful lake is considered to be a holy bathing ghat. Too much cat fish in this pond. The banks of the lake are revered as sacred too and the land is used by devotees for the traditional custom of feeding pigeons. Deer Come here to drink water. The embankment also has shrines, temples and an array of cenotaphs. The glittering water of the pond along with the gorgeous monuments. Cool and slow wind blowing here. This place could have been better if the management had decided to take care of it. The pond is full of garbage. There is no cleaning. The water is green and it stinks badly. It looked like nobody cares for the pond. The irony is that it is located inside the city palace of Alwar, which is also been converted into a government office. Funny part is, there are wall painting asking for cleanliness. Proud on alwar. Useless and not maintained place. Water in the pond stinks like hell. Archeological department should maintain it. So that they can earn some things from that instead of people cursing why they visited the place. Very Lovely Place.
Very amazing.... Cleaning water resource like Sagar is amazing...
The water is green as polluted but the architecture is good and must visit place.
Mind blowing place 5 km away from Alwar Junction and 1 km from alwar bus stand.
The Palace Is Beautiful but people and local administration make it a trash palace,in fact now-days its public sewage...really disappointed

Beautiful scenario😎
Loved the place and the viewBest to watch during rainy seasonThe view was quite soothing and pleasantDo visit here with your family
Best place to sit... completely silent... close to nature
Nice place to be visited but needs to be well maintained by government
This beautiful and unique pond has a lot of history to it and is worth visiting. The approach is a bit tricky. Google Maps will take you down some alley from where you have a hike up a bit.Beware of monkeys that may snatch your things and run. It’s a sad thing that Indians use it as a garbage dump. There is no entrance or parking fee for Indian and non-Indian citizens alike.
Beautiful Sagar Lake adjoining the Vinay Palace. But a little water purification is needed as its polluted these days.View from the Bottom towards the Mountain facing is worth to visit this place.
Just beside the Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri, this is a Big Pond and Has Amazing Craftmanship.
Thats good place .a temple of karni mata near it.
A beautiful Sagar is located in alwar, local govt of alwar city does not keep regularly clean and neat.
The water is dirty but the place is nice to chill out.. And the nights light show is also amazing.
Sagar ilies just beside Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri. It is a big rectangular water tank. The water generally remains covered with algae. A nice place to hang out. There are many nice temples to visit nearby this place.
This is a nice place to visit when you are in Alwar. Its peace there. You can see swamp deer roaming there. But Vinay Villas palace pond is not clean. Wires are going through water. It should be cleaned by the officials there.
