Sagadi manor - Palace in Kohtla-Jarve, Estonia
Beautiful place to stay.
It is hard to say about forest museum. Did not visit it. It is one of the best maintained manor complexes in the Northern Estonia. Nice park and beautiful garden with educative background.
Its a beautiful place, especially from outside - the park is well kept, with its misterious pond, huge old trees and flower gardens
a beautiful manor with a nice garden at the back
Lovely hotel. Beautiful gardens and lake. Excellent staff.
most charming place in Estonia
Amazing place to enjoy vibes of history and cozy natural landscape
This was 350km driving day from Tallin to the university town of Tartu looking at a national park (Lahemaa), two renovated manor houses ( Palmse and Sagadi manorand the Tartu Observatory which is a UNESCO site as part the Struve Geodetic Arc. The latter being a chain of survey triangulations stretching over 2,820 kilometres and ten countries from Norway to the Black Sea. The arc yielded the first accurate measurement of a meridian arc.Palmse Manor was the best of the two manor houses seen today. This was reflected in the price of €10 against €4. However the overall standard of Palmse was higher all round in regard to amenities, quality of the manor interior, displays and the manor grounds. We wished we had another hour or two there to see more of the grounds and other buildings.Sagadi Manor was okay, worthy of the entry price but in my view it was half the quality of Palmse.
Lovely manor house with a couple of museums, floral garden and a restaurant serving delicious food on site. You can also go for a nice stroll around the lake and the grounds.
Very beautiful place!
Great place to spend time
Beautiful place, really enjoyed a walk around they have a amazing garden behind.
The Sagadi manor is interesting and beautiful in every season. Now here in Estonia is a early Spring, you can see first flowers and the ice on the pond, wonderful reflections on thawed water. After the walk on the park, after visit the forest museum and the School of the Nature you can rest in the great restoraunt and enjoy the very tasty meal. Some photos from our walking.
Quite and natural place.
Beautiful place. A must visit.
Ok
The most friendly and helpful hotel staff that I have ever seen. Perfect place to enjoy peace and tranquility, especially in winter. The restaurant food is also definitely among the best in Estonia.
Work in progress at the moment
Best experience of my trip in Estonia. The room is pretty elegant but the bathroom was quite old. The souvenir shop is very cute and deserve to be seen. And most importantly the restaurant (!is exquisite 👌Theres a parc you can visit, the place is very beautiful and quiet.

Forest museum was a lot better than expected
Nice Manor since 18 century.
Very beautiful, romantic place.
A perfect stop off point for an hour or so. Beautiful gardens and interesting house.
Beautiful garden
Very nice old Manor. You can see how they lived. Its nicely renovated. I was a bit disappointed as they did not accept card payment although the terminal was available. No, sorry, cash is not good! Please change this and tell your people to not argue about "cash being better".
Amazing place with genuine heritage. Definitely must visit.
Lavish interiors, a quiet tranquil place.
Pretty rooms and interior design. Lots to read (in Estonian, dno if other languages are availableand lots to look at. My favorites were trophy room and the upstairs gentlemens room.
Perfect reception. Truly deducted staff. Meals are worth the price and rooms are marvellous
Beautiful manor with large park and museum inside. Rooms for weddings and parties. Hotel and restaurant in the area for longer stay.
Pretty manor house!
Very nice place to visit. We enjoyed.
Red tiled roofs, whitewashed arches, a bell tower, and other pink and white buildings arranged with German precision;bright green lawns, stately park trees, roses, and a pond as a symbol of love;the sounds of the forests of Lahemaa and of the sea, nature trails, and the other beautiful manor complexes located just a stone’s throw away. The history of the Sagadi manorial estate dates back more than 500 years.Today, the former granaries, stables, dairy house, carriage house, cow barns, and other buildings have new functions.Sagadi is the site of a forest museum, a manor museum, a nature school, a hotel, and a restaurant. The Sagadi manor complex is an architectural monument of national importance, and it is rare due to its completeness. The past wealth of the barons of Sagadi was based, in part, on the forests. Sagadi manor is still managed by foresters, namely the State Forest Management Centre.
Recommended! If you are interested in wood, foresting, or wood processing, then it is even more recommended, prepare a few hours here
Cosy in a splendid natural area.
Big mannor from 18th century. Restored after Soviet union falled apart and now is used as Hotell, forest museum and mannor museum. It also has apple garden, dendro park, pond and other satellite buildings around the main building.Worth visiting
We were there as a couple for one night to visit the national park. We absolutely loved our stay there. We chose the romantic special including a dinner (which was really good), a surprise in the room (sparkling wine and sweetsas well as entrance to both museums (forest and the main manor house). Our room was very big, nice, clean and cosy. The whole manor area is absolutely worth a visit (nice park). We were especially impressed by the museums, which were very interesting. We really liked the food, especially the large breakfast buffet. The staff was very helpful, although not all of them were good in English. In total we definitely recommend going there. As a side note: The bogs in the national park are wonderful to visit.
Nice garden!
