Il museo molto interessante. È una raccolta di oltre un secolo di fotografie relative allinfanzia. Ci sono foto da fine ottocento ai tempi odierni. Si possono quindi vedere scene di vita e costume dellIslanda e del suo popoloInoltre cè la ricostruzione di un ambiente domestico antico, un salotto con arredi e oggetti di uso quotidiano.Quando sono andata il museo era chiuso, parlando con la persona che gestisce sia il museo che la biblioteca (nello stesso edificiomi sono resa conto che non sarei riuscita a vederlo poiché i miei orari di lavoro non erano compatibili, così mi ha offerto di visitarlo ugualmente. Allinizio non riuscivo a crederci, ma lho visitato con molta calma.Piacevole scoperta e oltre al museo ho apprezzato particolarmente la gentilezza del gestore.

Très beau musée sur la vie des islandais et leur histoire ainsi quune très belle exposition sur les rennes et leurs histoires. Les explications sont en anglais et en islandais et la plupart des artefacts sont soit présenté tel quel, soit dans des vitrines. Il y a aussi une salle des archives et une petite bibliothèque.

A very interesting museum showing the history of Iceland through the history of children: local items and pictures of Icelandic children and families from 1900 to present showing how time had changed. Also the collection of Icelandic birds was impressive.

My daughter, Heidi, and I were delighted in going through his museum in July of this year...The Sagas brought to life in several, wonderful, presentations...When traveling in Iceland this is one place (of manyyou dont want to miss!I was born in Reykjavik and raised pretty much in Vopnafjörður ( and on the Sagas by my grandpa Björnuntil age of twenty, when I married and left my beloved country...so the Safnahús Borgarfjarðar was a very special treat for me :-)
