We had a great time here. The food quality was excellent and the service was speedy and friendly. Highly recommended
MoreDelicious food, fantastic & kind service. The woman who served us was absolutely lovely. Generous portions. Dad had lamb & aubergine stew and highly recommended. As a vegan could easily have the starters as a main. Cash only.
MoreVery delicious. It become one of our monthly must visit restaurants list.
Visited ast night, lovely restaurant, the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Food was spot on, a true hidden gem. Will be back soon, well done for all your efforts
MoreAuthentic food, simple and quite place, clean, nice music. seems like a family business where all people were welcoming and friendly. Could be a bit cheaper.
MoreIt is just perfect! The lady who served us went above and beyond expectations, she has a beautiful smile and was extremely kind and helpful.Food is just prefect and the place is fairly nice and absolutely clean.Highly recommended
MoreVery good one; although, zereshk polo north sauce tastes a little bit bitter
Outstanding, unpretentious, Persian cooking. With a lovely homely welcome.
Lovely restaurant with a very friendly waitress who kept entertaining our little one. Food is so delicious
MoreHad a meal this eveningWonderful hostHome made foodHighly recommended
Highly recommended persian restaurant. Really enjoyed the Jojeh.....
The food here is spectacular. I lived in Nottingham for 4 years and never knew about this restaurant. We had jooje, koobide, and sultani kebabs, all of which were amazing! The food came quickly, the portion sizes were very generous, and the ingredients were fresh. The sides were also very delicious, we had the zeytoon parvarde and maast-mosir. Fresh bread is baked at the restaurant which came with the sides/mains, and let me tell you, the bread was fantastic. We also had the doogh (yoghurt drinkwhich was thick and very morish. The service was very very lovely too! Absolutely no complaints, only compliments to the staff & chef 🥰Favourite restaurant in Nottingham by miles 🏆(Review written by a fellow Iranian 😉)
MoreConsidering the price, you will receive a high quality and quality of delicious food. Highly recommended.
MoreFantastic meal today at Saffron. Really great tasting Persian food. Good value.
As a Persian, I found the foods the most authentic Persian foods which you can find in Nottingham. Nice environment, very friendly and welcoming owner and staff. Sent my British friends two times there and they also found the food very well-presented and tasty.
MoreWonderful atmosphere, ridiculously good food (best lamb Ive had in ages), really nice people.
MoreLovely food and friendly service. All of the sides tasted very fresh and authentic. The bread was lovely 😊Decor was fantastic.Suggested improvements:-accepting card payments (as it seems they are cash only)-being slightly faster with their service-The chicken kebab was nice but could have done with a bit of citrus, but a lemon was provided anyway so Im just nitpicking at this point.Mixed grill with several sides was enough to fill my fiancé and I up.Reasonably priced for the quality of food you receive 👍
MoreOrdered barg kebab and it wasn’t nowhere like I expected it to be I hope they improve.
MoreWe drove from Leicester specially to try the Kebab Koobidas. Not completely satisfied. The kebabs were quite dry and chewy. The portion size was simply not enough and unfortunately we were told that salad is only served to seated tables and not takeaways. If salad is not a part of takeaways, then maybe there should be a seperate menu list with a price difference. Sorry but unfortunately this place didnt live upto our usually fairly high standards of other Persian restaurants around the country.
MoreRestaurant is clean and cosy. food tastes like homemade ones. Portion sizes are very decent and it is a challenge to finish ;We have ordered Bakhtiari (20homous (3and noon (36). Rice is very delicious and Chicken tastes wonderful. My only criticism is that they brought appetiser with the main. We have enjoyed and will come back.
MoreThe food was amazing and we enjoyed everything! Portion sizes are good as well. The only downside is that it is cash only which is quite strange.
MoreFirst time for Persian food and loved it. It was very quiet but thats Mondays for you. We were recommended some signature dishes, all of which were beautifully cooked with tender moist meat. Id probably add a saucy dish next time.Staff were so friendly and helpful; the restaurant spotlessly clean. The only downside was very minor - its cash only, which caught us out!
MoreVery nice and clean restaurant, very cozy and elegant. The staff are welcoming and the food arrives on time. Everything is wows. The food is outstanding from all aspects. It is very nice and tasty. It deserve to be considered among top restaurants in Nottingham so far.
MoreWhat an amazing restaurant! The food was lovely, made with heart and so flavoursome. The owner was very friendly and she was also the one who cooked which was very impressive. The decor and music also beautiful and it transformed us to Arabic world. Everything was perfect, definitely my favourite restaurant in Nottingham from now on.
MoreThis is an undiscovered treat. The home made Persian food was delicious. The slow cooked big portion Lamb Shank fell off the bone. The sauces were tasteful beyond belief.
MoreFood is awesome. Vegetables starter was really nice my daughter loved 😍 it. Lamb was really soft and delicious my son loved and eat alot. Definitely recommend others
MoreMe and my friends travelled from Birmingham to try this place, was delicious! Real family feel to the restaurant mom on the till, daughter as the waitress and dad in the kitchen. It really works well. 5*
MoreExcellent food, everything was perfect. Smoked aubergine, was out of the world. Quality of Chicken skewers with Saffron rice was something I have never tasted before. Chicken stew made with pomegranate and walnut paste was amazing. Obviously it was slightly sweet. We were told by the chef that it takes 10 hours to cook. It only had walnut oil, which is released from 10 hours of cooking walnuts. Service was excellent and so were the prices. For the quality of food, price should be at least 1.5 times. Must go to place for foodies.
MoreThe service was outstanding. We went there as a big group and they made sure we were looked after property..My friend was Iranian so she knew which dishes to get.I definitely recommend the mixed grill some of the aubergine dishes, nan and doogh
MoreAs an Iranian I was surprised by how great the food was. Very authentic home-style cooking and delicious. Very caring and attentive staff as well.
MoreExcellent presentation and brilliant taste. The service is very good too.
Great staff. They helped my husband planning for a birthday dinner. They’ve been so nice and understanding. We did run overtime but they made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend the lamb neck dish
MoreHad a really nice meal, with friendly service. Food came quickly and hot. Had a really good experience.
MoreHave been treating myself here weekly since 2019. Really top quality, authentic and really flavoursome quality food on offer. Portion sizes are perfect. Ive dined all over the world but this is by far the best Iranian food Ive ever had. Run by a fabulous husband & wife team, please keep going! Michelin rated by my personal standards.
MoreLovely and authentic Persian food. Massive portions too. Everything tasted really good, would recommend!
MoreAbsolutely delicious food, the lamb was beautiful, the chicken so tender, the flatbread warmed to perfection. Lovely decor and atmosphere. This restaurant comes highly recommended, I hope to find somewhere as delicious in London!!
MoreAmazing food. Persian foods are the best. Generous, delicious, welcomed and homemade recipes 😋 what else can you ask for. Saffron is the Jewl of every dish and Iranians know how to use it. 🐈⬛ mew... 😆 lol
MoreThis is the best Persian food I ever tried, I particularly loved the dips they serve as starter, they come with the most amazing home-made flat bread. As a main, you can try one of the slow cooked meats (so tender!the stews or the skewers and there is plenty of veggy options too. The business is run by a family and you do feel at home as soon as you step in. Definitely worth a trip to NG7!
MoreI accidentally came across this gem on Google this month, and decided to exercise my lazy arse and walked across town to pay a visit. It was totally worth it! Good food with reasonable price, staff with great hospitality. After my first visit, I went with a vegan friend. The restaurant didnt have any vegan main courses on its menu, but they came up a vegan specialty just for my friend, and she loved it! I highly recommend this restaurant, and will return again.
MoreThis is a hidden gem and one of my favourite restaurants. It is a welcoming, family-run restaurant that does genuine Persian cuisine. So packed full of flavour, and cooked beautifully. Lots of aubergine dishes, lots of lamb dishes, you must try the lab shank or the lamb neck, so tender it falls off the bone! Try their stews as well, so flavourful!
MoreI love this restaurant ! I have been already couple of times with my boyfriend and friends. Today I have been back as they just re open for the first time after the COVID. A small family business, where the food and the atmosphere make you feel like at home ( as my Persian keep say)In addition is really cheap which is always a plus. A small hide gem in Nottingham, it is worthy a visit! Highly recommended
MoreThe food, service, vibe and everything els about this place is wonderful. The lady who runs the place is very genuine and humble. The food is what an Iranian mum would cook...Every time I am going to eat there I so much look forward to it..Thank you very much!
MoreMe and my friends found this place on a Tuesday evening and werent sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised - the food was great and the family who ran it were very friendly and welcoming. To anyone whos looking for a place that’s authentic Persian/Irani Cuisine, you can count on this restaurant. I had the Lamb shank which only made me wish I was still hungry to eat it again! Quality of meat is really good!P.s. their soup is my favourite and wings are really succulent and flavourful!
MoreFood was great and the staff made sure we were looked after. I have been to many Persian restaurants and if you would like real authentic Persian food, this is the place to go. Just make sure you have cash on you. If you do forget to take cash, there are ATMs within a walking distance. Will be visiting again soon.
MoreLoved it. The kebab was amazing. The service was very good. The staff are lovely. And for the quality of the food you get the price is amazing. Deffo recommend this place. The desert and the traditional Iranian ice cream was so delicious. Definitely coming back to try more of their food.
MoreDelighted to have found this gem providing traditional authentic home cooked Persian cuisine. The grills are very good. Simple skewers of surprisingly tender, surprisingly tasty, surprisingly juicy lamb and chicken - they arrive at the table, or should you prefer in the majlis seating area, freshly cooked and well-seasoned, accompanied by a mound of rice and salad. The rich, sweet Baklava pastry and Persian tea finishes the meal. Owned and managed by a welcoming family.
MoreExcellent food and great atmosphere. Must try.
Having got Iranian heritage my mother and grandmother always used to make me Ghorme Sabzi growing up as a child. I haven’t had it in a very long time, eating here really brought back memories of my childhood.I will return again, the customer service and host Nima really knows how to make you feel welcome. The chef really knows what she’s doing and you can tell they have had numerous years experience cooking.Don’t miss this amazing restaurant!
MoreThis was of the best food experiences I’ve had in Nottingham, I am studying here as a international student, and this made me feel like I was having mums food again!!! Excellent
