Food is terrible. Said was an owner and operator of Safari Restaurant, a site that received more than $16 million in fraudulent Federal Child Nutrition Program funds.

Husband and I just moved away after living a block from midtown and Safari. We both agree that leaving Safari behind is the worst part 😭

The food is on point but customer service takes longer help

The chef himself recommended a camel burger with mango juice, and sambusa, a Somali pastry. The staff were very friendly and kind, and the meal was delicious. I highly recommend!

I work nearby and never been til today, my friend at work always brings some to my work and thats when I fell in love with it. Today I tried it on my own, I had mango chicken curry with rice and a salad on the side that came with it, and 2 sambusas with a sparkling grapefruit drink. The food was insane good. Could not post a pic because I ate it too fast, I will next time though. Grapefruit drink was gross since there was no sugar in it. I love this place! P.S. After eating here, I dont want to transfer my job to another city. Well see.

I bought lunch from Safari, which was excellent with high customer assistance. I love camel burger and spicy chicken with rice

Came for the Camel burger but they were out so the owner recommended the Camel Stew. Best meal I’ve had in Minnesota. Will be back again.

Food is normally great, however they dont have any of their regular items right now. Its been months. Huge disappointment.

Great food if you can catch them at the right time. Otherwise, they are never open according to hours & will not answer the phone. Depending on who is working, the food would be cold too. Been like this for almost 2 years.

Such good and flavorful food! I had the woman working make me a rice bowl however she likes it and it was amazing! Literally the best food that’s quick and affordable!

The curry chicken with turmeric rice bowl was off the charts! Loved it! Im annoyed its closed.

Delicious! We purposely saved some of our dinner bowl so we could savor it again the next day for lunch! Will buy again. Appreciated the samples beforehand to help us choose. Fabulous!

Got their tumeric rice bowl with the lamb meat and it was incredible. Lots of flavor and the meat was really tender. Sambusa on the other hand had clearly been sitting in the warmer too long so was dry and soggy, but the flavor of the meat was really good. If fresh, Im sure it would have been excellent. Would definitely recommend!

This is not only a restaurant .. it is an experience! The camel burger is a savory delight with a rich, smoky taste. Great fries. Interesting menu items with reasonable prices.

Had the camel burger. That was damn tasty and the fries were awesome. Big thumbs up.

The sambusa was oily and tasted like it had been fried in the same oil as the fish they cook....Also they had no seasoning as they tasted like beef and flour...

So if you have the chance to try a camel burger, you just might. We did. It did not help that we had to buy the fries and drink or that we had to wait as long as we did. But the facts are that the patty tasted like an over-seasoned mean streets version of Donair meat. And the toppings used conspire to defeat normal handling. All told, a complete disappointment.

Incredibly flavorful rice bowl with kebab bits.

Two words: CAMEL BURGER.I easily give it a spot in my top 5 burgers of all time. This is not a fluke or exaggeration. Its a big burger, maybe 1/2lb (guestimatewith pineapple and a secret zesty sauce and some melty white cheese. Also tomato and lettuce on a fluffy bun and a good portion of fries (also get high marks!Tack on a canned soda and your total is $15. Good size to share between two imo.Also the service here is literally amazing every time I have been here.

Trying to be more adventurous than I usually am, I stopped by this booth. The guy working behind the counter was really friendly and suggested a few things, but I opted for a chicken wrap they make fresh to order. And although its just a chicken wrap, oh my goodness it is DELICIOUS! Piping hot with fresh vegetables and a delicious sauce. Price was comparable to the other booths. Thank you for the great food! Ill be back.

The chicken wrap I got was bland. I was disappointed because the free sample I got was delicious.

They have a great rice bowl with tons of options (pineapple lamb, spicy chicken, etcand incredible flavors. I highly recommend this place for a quick, flavorful lunch with great service.

This place is delicious! The service was friendly and she even offered me samples. I got the camel burger which was very tasty, the fries were crispy and delicious too. This is my new favorite restaurant at the Midtown Global Market.

Im a big fan of their lunchtime steam-table rice bowl. The lamb and spicy rice is not only a heavenly mix, its decently spicy, too.

The food is really great. I would recommend the sambusa as a quick grab snack from there. The curry is really great as well and fairly priced.

Me and 2 of my friends drove 250 miles to try it, it was totally worth it. Really great food, amazing hospitality, and kind service. We will be coming again for those Camel Burgers, they are soooo delicious.

Prices went way up. Used to be able to get enough food to feed five people for $30. Just paid nearly $50 for less food than we could get before. Could be the last time we do, and thats too bad since the food is to rave about.

Sambusa is the best in Minneapolis. Hashi is very friendly and would let you taste anything before you order. A must try.

The food is excellent. Try the Camel Burger, it is a delicate meat that tastes just right. Chappatis and Chicken Fantastic is also a great. Sit down and talk with some folks, it is always a nice place to meet someone new. I have been going to this restaurant years and it keeps getting better!
