Smoked fish, housemade bagels & other appetizing fare offered in a buzzy, vintage-style spot.
Sadelle's in New York City
Description
Privilege
The only bad thing about this place that it’s too far for me to go weekly. I really enjoyed everything from the atmosphere, bagels, smoked salmon, and drinks. Wait staff was super attentive and kind. They definitely focused attention to detail. It is definitely more fun to go with a small group to share to different items. I do highly recommend a reservation. Can be pricey, but I felt the quality and service was well worth it.
MoreI don’t know what is the rush about this place. The prices are insanely high - you get super thin salmon and some vegetables for 28$ with taxes. The salmon is so thin you can’t taste it.The bagels are nice, but I wouldn’t come back just for them. The orange juice doesn’t feel freshly squeezed (they said it isand the charge 8$ for half glass!!!The environment is nice but there’s so many little flying bugs all over the place bothering you, so weird. All and all not the best experience
MoreGreat food, nice dining settings. Came back the next day. Highly recommend. French toasts and smoke salmon bagel are must haves.
MoreBest French toast!!! It’s thick, crispy on the outside but also soft and moist on the inside. Love it.Their egg salad is perfect for kids since it’s not too salty and goes well with the bagels. What was surprising for me was the grapefruit cocktail. The top was brulee’ed and the mix of sweet and sour was perfect.Although weekends are hard to book but week days are much easier.
MoreOur reviews had over 16 million views in the first 8 months of 2022. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really loved Sadelles and really LOVED the French Toast. It was like eating a sweet cloud. Really the best ever. Some of the best bagels in the city. She had the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was really good. I had the same but on a Halal Bread and it was super duper as well. Nice to find an awesome bagel place with tables and that takes reservations. Mickey was a great server and helped us get the right stuff. Bagels are made on site and are served warm right out of the kitchen!!! We will be back many times again. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. MoreNot worth the time or energy required to make a reservation or wait in line if you dont have one. Half our food order was hot, the other was cold. Service was pretty abysmal but not sure who was being attended since the table to our left and right were both equally neglected. Not sure how they got so esteemed since our 3 tables were left all pretty unimpressed overall.
MoreThe vibe in Sadelles was gorgeous and made you feel special.. the food was equally great and pleasant for the eye.. the salmon and bagels were 5 stars but as other reviewers pointed out no coffee options
MoreGood food and nice interior. Servants are friendly but they are in a rush. They need to sell your table many times so having a slow brunch on a lazy Sunday is almost impossible. Also not serving espresso in a place like this is a crime against humanity. Missed opportunity…
MoreYou have to dine at this place while in Soho and West Broadway. A trendy and great scene Jewish Nosh spot for latkes, pastrami, whitefish, sable, smoked salmon, bagels, fried chicken and more
MoreMy Favorite spot for breakfast/ Brunch. In the heart of Soho, plenty of seating options including outside. The menu is simple yet delicious. Everything is fresh. The French toast is from a different planet, mind blowing.Friendly staff, excellent service.Little pricey, book in advance otherwise waiting time is long. Many seafood items, which I personally dont like as breakfast. Finally, they have to consider adding more hot beverages options. They have only coffee and tea.
MoreA great place to start your day with a classic NYC brunch in Soho. Really loved the interior and decor. Brunch was delicious, and while on the pricey side, still reasonable when it comes to NYC. Would definitely recommend!
MoreReally loved it here. Great atmosphere and cute location- definitely worth the hype. Had the lox tower, Cobb salad, French toast, drinks, & potatoes. We went for four people and had the perfect Amt of food- for the tower we did 2 spreads and gas 3 small sides. There lox and drinks were delicious- really enjoy this place
MoreWow probably one of my favorite restaurants. I love breakfast. An they definitely did not disappoint. My boyfriend got the leo he said it was the best he ever had. I got the caviar breakfast. I loved it highly recommend.
MoreThe salmon and presentation deserves all the stars … rest of the items were average or below . Club sandwich was soggy , burger was rare when i asked for it to well done since it was for a child, it came back medium . Pancakes were dry.The gentleman slicing the salmon is a pro , his skills are worthy of recognition. He does his job with soul .The place is lovely , high ceilings, relaxing decor and lighting - overall great place to brunch .
MoreGood for a weekend brunch before shopping. Only get the tower if there are like 5 of you, theres a lot. In the photo here we ordered the single salmon bagel. In the tower you get all of the different bagel spreads. We also ordered the pigs in a blanket which is good and the Cobb salad.
MoreThe good was incredibly good! The portions were quite generous, so my friend and I ended up taking doggie bags. I will definitely go back to try their signature bagel dishes next time.
MoreSo so so so good. One of the best bagels Ive had in the city. Doesnt really get any better than this. Service is exceptional. Definitely try and make a reservation before coming.
MoreGreat brunch spot in SoHo. The bagels are made on site and you can order them with your choice of fish and this tower of toppings. Blueberry pancakes and french toast were both delicious! I didnt try the avo Benedict, but apparently it was great! Very attentive service. We sat outside which was nice in the morning, but once the sun came over I think inside would be better.
MoreThe tuna tartare was one of the nicest Ive had, its my fave dish so its nice to see it done differently (with chillies!), really good kick to it. The Sable bagel stack was delicious, but you dont get much fish for your money (hence 4* instead of 5*), service was great.
MoreWhat lovely place for brunch. The egg benedict with Salmon was the best I’ve ever had. The cut the salmon in an open kitchen. Highly recommend to book a table as it was really busy.
MoreIf you want to spend quality time for breakfast/brunch you should go to this place. We got smoked salmon with bagels and a veggie plate, an egg benedict, and a latke. Loved anything on the table. Location, service well everything was great.
MoreThe atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are friendly. Their menu has a good variety of breakfast food; however, the Salmon Benedict was not impressive maybe I should have tried something else.
MoreMaybe the best brunch spot in Manhattan. This place is phenomenal. The high ceilings and open floor makes the room feel vast. The cocktails kick and the food is delish. Don’t sleep on the fried chicken sandwich. I don’t know what sauce they used on this thing but it was so good. All three of us ordered it and we all loved it. Need to come back asap and try more of the menu. I have a feeling everything is amazing.
MoreThe restaurant is absolutely stunning, and is accompanied by an excellent service. The food was good, nothing extraordinary. Considering the price tag and their well-knowingness for their smoked fish, be prepared to be underwhelmed. Besides, the server asked if I’d like a side plate that’s supposed to accompany the main dish (Salmon bagelbut didn’t care to mention that the side dish (3 pieces of fried potatoescosts about as much as the main course, which felt a lot like a rip off. Wouldn’t recommend.
MoreWe went there for lunch time and to be honest couldn’t find anything good for lunch! Lunch menu doesn’t really have so many options! You can see the menu, All their focus are on the breakfast and brunch, like you can find so many french toast options in the menu!! And the price could be more reasonable! for example a regular chicken sandwich shouldn’t be $28! The taste of foods are just OK! They should work on foods a little more, also about the drinks!! When I order a drink with alcohol I don’t want my drink taste just like juice! What’s the point of having alcohol in it?! And they charge me $16 for a little bit lime juice and bunch of ice!!!! You can check the pictures attached to my review.Could be better! Hopefully they work on it in the future. Good vibes and great staff and service, I believe can be a good spot for hangout with family and friends for maybe breakfast time!
MoreLoved Sadelles. Had to book almost a month in advance. We had the house salmon, scottish salmon, egg salad and another salad. The best salmon was the house one, the scottish is too smoked for my taste. Egg salad and bagels were awesome. Also had a prosecco (bottle’s price is pretty good)Service was Ok. They didn’t have any ice bucket to put the prosecco in. Also people sitting at the table next to ours were very rude (speaking loudly and with lots of bags that cut us the way through)
MoreWent for brunch with reservation. The place and environment are great. Food is really good and product quality is amazing. We tried the local and Sweden lox with egg salad both were great. The home made bagels are super. We paired with a French Prosecco that we loved. The manager Adam wasn’t kind and pretends to make himself special instead the clients.
MoreAmazing place, pretty chill. Nice service. Food is great, should come with lots of friends so that you can try everything. Lobster Benny is great, double Decker sandwich is amazing, big portions. Shrimp salad with bagel is ok. Latke is great. French toast is huge and tasty, crispy on the outside and wished that they were more custardy in the inside. Paloma drink is great. If you like your bagel, crusty and chewy, you will like this place. Overall, will come back here again, on the higher price.Only 2 restrooms, might wait a little long just to wash your hands.
MoreEnjoyed our breakfast there from the food to the service.Had the salmon with different toppings - they let you choose the bagel type and if you arrive in the morning, you’d get the freshest ones possible (baker right next to you!).We followed with the blueberry pancakes which were awesome, but were a bit undercooked in the centre and gooey.Service was very nice and prompt.Only two downsides are: only 2 toilet booths for the entire restaurant, which makes a constant queue and a 10 minute wait to even wash your hands. No Espresso machine (only cold brew and drip coffeewhich in todays day and age seems a bit weird and therefore took off one star.
MoreSadelles is always shown on social media,..and since I was in SoHo for the weekend why not give it a try? Here is my review.Food: 5/5Got the sampler tower ( $125which has all the fish types: smoked salmon , sturgeon , white fish.. substituted lobster salad and egg salad. White fish salad was savory smoky ..lobster salad was the table favorite.Bagels came fresh n hot stacked on a stick. I noticed there is a bagel making station onsite.Probably the best bagels I had in NY so far.Potato Latkas were a crispy and savory addition . Highly recommend.Drinks: 1/5Mimosa : was not fresh orange juice and the champagne was non existent. Very bland drink. Was not served in champagne flutes. Not festive and was a strange detail missed by Sadelles management.Vodka pineapple mandarin: also fell flat ..see my pic. Juices tastes like canned. Lackluster drink .Salad : TBDWaldorf salad. Was not able to eat it..was very large portions ( enough for 2-3and took it home instead.Interior : 5/5Indoor seating wait was 1.5 hours .. outdoor seating - 2 hours.Cute interior w brick and steel. Floral arrangements scattered around the space makes for perfect IG shots .Covid : 3/5Servers wear masks. Tables are really close but they blast the AC to get some air flow. Opt for outdoor if you are playing it safe .Tip: Expect to pay $$$ but this is Soho and well worth it if youre visiting or just wanna know what all the hype is about.
MoreI heard about this place a lot so I had to make a reservation 1 month to visit it for brunch. We ordered bagel grilled cheese and bagel with lox with couple of cocktails. The portions looked pretty small, but the food tasted good. Overall I liked this place but Im not sure if it worth the wait.
MoreI’d been wanting to try sadelles for ever now. Had to eat at close to 4pm bc impossible to get a res otherwise. Really good brunch. Wish I could actually eat it at brunch time someday. Don’t recommend the sturgeon. Whitefish salad(albeit on saltier sideand smoked salmon were good. French toast is decadent and delicious. Crowd is expected from carbone.
MoreWho says Aperol spritz is only for happy hour. They were just at good as the food , each of us had 3 with brunch. The food is very good here as was the service. It is very busy establishment. The staff is very attentive so to you impatient customers, be respectful to the staff, your food is in their hands remember that, tip well thanks!
MoreThis place is terrific. The bagels are perfectly chewy. The garnishes are fresh and the French toast is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! amazing brunch great for groups
MoreA big restaurant, nicely decorated, lots of friendly waiters. It definitely feels upscale and it does have an expensive price point. However…the food is literally amazing. So incredibly fresh and well done. The white fish salad, lox and French toast in particular were mouth-watering good. PLEASE do yourself a favour and order the French toast. You can literally never eat French toast again if you have this because it’s out of this world yummy. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu next time! Worth it.
MorePerfect for breakfast or brunch. we had the tuna and egg salads with beagles and a Cobb salad. The portions were satisfying and every thing was tasty including the cocktails. The place is super busy so make reservations.
MoreFood was ok, portions rather small. Poor service, waiters seem more concerned with turning tables than providing good service. Unfortunately seem to rely on name as they have people waiting…
MoreOverall it was great and I really enjoyed my everything bagel with lox. Atmosphere was decent and service was great. Drinks were great too! I do this it’s a little overhyped, but I’d recommend you got once. The latkes disappointed me, I thought they’d be more traditional but they were very smooth patties. They also tasted exactly like McDonalds hash browns to the point where I was confused why I was paying $6 per latke haha.
MoreThe food is amazing - best smoked salmon ever. Service is also very good & nice atmosphere. Pricey but worth it.
MoreA busy and spacious brunch spot that had a lot of staff working and is known for their bagels. I had the eggs Benedict which was good and tried some of the French toast which was very gooey on the inside. My dining companion had the bagel with lox and reports it was good. The customer next to us ordered a Cobb salad and reported it was terrible to the staff. The coffee was ok, but very pricey for just black coffee. The food we had was worth the price. Oddly enough, my water glass was broken and I didn’t realize it until I was served water. It ended spilling and we switched tables without any fuss. Overall the place was what I was told about, I don’t know if I saw any celebrities, which some people talk about. I would recommend trying it out for yourselves. Hope this helps!
MoreBest lox bagels in the area! Fresh fish daily and multiple options. Traditional salmon and smoked Scottish salmon are my favorite on an everything bagel 🥯 Would love to see other coffee options, but their bloody mary is also really good. I will be back!
MoreAmazing from start to finish, the scrambled eggs and potato skins was well seasoned, cooked to perfection. The bagel was crisp and fresh, with the smoothest cream cheese spread-absolutely delicious. The blueberry pancakes was a show stopper with the maple syrup sauce!
MoreThe food was beyond speechless. The service was so great. our waiter explained everything and she told us what was good and our food came perfectly cooked and fast.
MoreMy favorite spot for bagels.. the salmon is simply delicious and I also like the tuna option. My favorite combo is the everything bagel with Salmon, cream cheese, avocado and cucumbers. Simply a pleasure. And yea maybe dress up a bit, it’s not like the other bagel spots, you should consider this place as a luxury brunch/lunch option.
MoreOverly hyped. They didn’t have any coffee besides black coffee which didn’t taste great. The cup they served me in was broken! Ordered a cheese sandwich which didn’t taste good either. It was very oily and tasted like re-used frying oil. The side order of breakfast potato was dry and not flavorful. That being said my friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict.
MoreSo delicious! The house salmon was so thin, delicate and flavorful. The cucumbers and tomatoes were very fresh, I wish they had more coffee options, but the alcohol options were very good. Super cute inside, but the tables were a bit crowded together, and the towers they put the food on were super wobbly. Staff was very nice about everything though.
MoreThis restaurant is a little hard to get into. We woke up a little earlier on a saturday morning to get there but still had to wait in line to put our names down. It took 1.5 hr for us to be seated but it was definitely worth it. The french toast is to die for and their famous salmon towers are a must try! I will definitely revisit again.
MoreFrench toast was a bit too sweet for me. It was deliscious, but once is enough. White egg toast was good. Make sure to reserve, there is a long wait line.
MoreService and staff was great.Speed of food was amazing. The flavors where all there. My one thing is everything was over salted but this did not break my experience. The French toast is out of this world highly recommended!!I attended a Brunch with about 4 people and the price was about $120 not bad at all.We did not have any juice or drinks. After we finished we did notice The drinks on the other hand where expensive. So I’m happy we didn’t order a $10 juice 😂All and all I will be returning with my significant other so I can enjoy brunch without sharing hahaha.😂
MoreSadelle’s is definitely one of the most popular brunch spots in NYC and the wait is always so bad. Luckily, we only wait 30 mins for a table for two on a rainy Sunday noon. The decor is elegant, authentic and good for Instagram photos. The ambiance was chill, their service was friendly and it’s overall a cozy place for brunch. The options on menu weren’t various and we had their signature Bagel Tower & French Toast from friend’s recommendation. The Bagels were decent but not the best bagel in NYC.Our favorite was the French Toast and it’s one of the best we have ever had. It was extremely satisfying since it melted in our mouth immediately with soft texture. It really made our day!
