Multi-use pathways connect 5 different parks featuring ponds, playgrounds & athletic fields.
Beautiful walking paths and nature all around..
Beautiful family park for runnig, biking, walking ,kids
The grounds keepers are doing a fantastic job at keeping the park clean and beautiful. A+
Nice walk/bike path to see foliage. The duck pond is being updated. There are lots of picnic areas. The pathway has mile markers. It has no vending machine
Great place for a nice walk, and it is also a wonderful place to see the fall colors.
Beautiful park. Took the dog first a nice walk around the Lake and she went nuts for all the scents... just beware goose droppings
Good paved walking/biking paths, ball fields and playground stuff for the kids. The paved path stretches for 7.5 miles from the Duck Pond section in Ridgewood, south to its terminus section in Rochelle park. Its comprised of 5 major sections that typically have picnic tables and bathroom facilities. Some areas have ponds and sports fields. The entire path meanders alongside the Saddle River. Opportunity to see deer and other wildlife. Bathrooms are located in the major sections and are generally okay. Parking is limited.
Lovely park to ride, walk or skate in. It has a lot of walking room and shady spots to just sit and relax. I used to walk 5 miles a day, but since Covid hit, I stopped. I need to restart my engines. You can actually do 5 miles in that park and never see the same thing twice. Good parking as well.
Such a huge park. You can jog, walk, ride bikes or roller skate. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. A perfect spot to get away from the madness in life and just be at peace.
A wonderful place (and a very popular one - lots of friendly people on foot and on biles). Lots of wild life: deer, geese, ducks. Signs warn of coyotes but I have not seen any.
Poorly maintained. If you want a park where you can go to the bathroom or drink water from a fountain this is not your park. Bathrooms are out of service or total dumps and water fountains have been shut off for years. What a waste of taxpayer money.
Lovely park.Has a duck pond, various kids play area throughout the stretch of the park, biking and hiking path, quite a few benches, a football field, spots to fish, and ample parking.Lots of geese meant a lot of poop to manoeuver around; only in certain spots. You might also get to see deers on the hiking trail.Lovely park to bring family, and kids of all ages.
Great park with plenty of space and tons to do. We enjoy riding bikes on the paved path and then letting our lil one take a break at the playgrounds. Conveniently located to the highways with parking entry points. Will definitely be enjoying this park plenty this summer!
Nice place to relax and exercising, beautiful view and animal friendly
A county park that stretches from one town to another, clean peace and fields for activities. Great parking spaces also. This was a space in the park, where it formed a circle of trees.
Great park, even with the renovations going on. Large and small dog areas. Plenty of room to toss around a ball, frisbee etc...kids paly ground..plenty of benches. Also has bathrooms and port-a-potties. It will be beautiful when the pond is complete. Also has plenty of parking.
First time visiting this park, beautiful views, long pathways along the lake, play area for the kids, baseball and basketball areas. Plenty of shaded areas for a hot summer day. Also a hot spot for PokémonGO if you are into that.
A gem of Bergen County plentiful amenities. Personal highlight is its 7 mile walkway/bikepath along the Saddle Brook river with protected road crossings via under or over passes, wonderful when bike riding.
great place for walking jogging and breathing fresh air
LOVE THIS PARK!!! If Im stressed out. I go to the park and seeing the beautiful lake with the geese and ducks just help me relax. Have also enjoyed meeting many wonderful people there.
This isnt my 1st time visiting this park, however it was a 1st time visiting with my Granddaughter and she loved it. We saw deer, different species of birds, she was so excited to see all the different breed of dogs and the favorite part of our trip was the playground, she didnt want to leave. Ill bring her back next weekend for more great experiences.
I really loved my time visiting this park! The park is beautiful, with tons of areas to set up a picnic, find some shade, or go for a walk or bike ride.I did the whole bike path loop, and it was a lot of fun and a great workout! I recommend having a bell on your bike for some of the congested areas on the paths. Overall, not too stenous of a ride, theres only a few hills. The park is worth checking out for all ages. I saw everyone from little kids enjoying the play areas to senior citizens enjoying a nice bench around the paths and pond.Bathrooms are available near the pond and werent too bad!
Lovely park. Great playground. Bathrooms. Million of benches. Perfect for biking and rollerblading
Saddle River County Park is a large park that runs along the Saddle River with a long path connecting different areas that include parking. We went to the Dunderhook area and walked along the trail to the waterfall. There are two pathways: one that is paved and one that is a more natural trail. There are a lot of bikers on the paved trail, so people who want to bring a dog may want to stay on the natural trail (we had our dog). The trail was pretty narrow but also not very crowded on a warm Sunday afternoon. I would definitely come back to this area and explore the rest of the park.
We decided to take our bikes on a cloudy, beautiful day, the less people the better, and it worked out. Im learning to ride my bike and the experience was amazing. During the summer is hectic but this park is phenomenal, it has hike trails and a lake. Its family friendly however beware of extreme bike riders. They arent vigilant or consideret of smaller children on bikes or beginners.
Love this park. Theres plenty of room when it gets busy. I ride my electric scooters or bike. I can fly my drone with plenty of space for safety. I can go fishing or just take a nice long walk. Ive not experienced any obnoxious people or really loud music.
Its still nice for exercise and picnics. I went last week in March on a very nice day. Very crowded, but still run to do what you like. Unfortunately, theplayground and rest room area are closed. The softball field really needs work if Bergen County Tech still uses it still for practice. Sorry, Softball Mom here and our girls get hurt on crummy fields.
The park is beautiful, with tons of activities ranging from footing to baseball and to kids activities such as a playground. Enjoy nature and take a break from the city style, go for a stroll, a jog, play baseball, and enjoy a "pickniking" meal outside with the kids. Make a romantic picture at the lake with the fountain and sit at the benches. A great place to spend a beautiful evening.
Best park in New Jersey.Paved trails looping through multiple towns. Friendly people, wildlife, great for walking, biking, rollerblading. hosting parties. Well kept and beautiful
It is a nice park, but there are a few things that you should consider when you willing to go, especially a large group or weekend. The lovely pond you can walk around, fishing, or enjoy the view.A kind of small playground. There is a vast field you can play any sport over there. There is only one Gizmo it is big but still not enough. It is so crowded because people#Running#Byking#Waling#Chatching Pokémon. Also, there is a big Parking space problem, dont park on the grass, you can get a ticket.Enjoy.
Lovely walking trail, safe kids playground, pretty little lake for fishing and watching birds and people. Decent restrooms, good parking. A peaceful, lovely place to walk, bike or skate, or just relax and restore your soul.
Beautiful park with almost 3 miles loop to walk beside river
Great place for a walk a picnic a run just to get away on a good lengthy track. Totally recommend amazing.
Awesome park in Bergen County to check out!! Park features a huge lake, playgrounds, baseball fields, walking/biking paths etc. Perfect outing for picnics, families, exercise, and more. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out!
Good spot for fishing, biking and hiking. Lots of nice trails 👣. Our 3 yr old had lots of fun in his scooter.
One of my favorite places to go whether for a walk or a bike ride. Such a pleasure to go through and it has everything you could want right in the heart of Bergen county. The whole trail round trip is about 15 miles from Rochelle park to Glen Rock and Ridgewood. Plenty of places to stop along the way for breaks and take in the different fields woods and areas of the river including the waterfall.
In this park my son learned how to drive his first bike .. I really enjoy like no other park this one it’s the longest I ever tried..I have some videos , pictures I have so many beautiful pictures and memories about this park. I really recommend this park if u want to do cardio , riding bikes , run etc.. it’s safety peaceful and the Mother Nature Amazing.
Great place to sit and relax, walk, run, bike and be one with nature... clean park with many areas to explore. Some of the facilities do need attention but overall a great place to be alone or with friends and family.
I love this it is a 596-acre (2.41 km2county park in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, stretching from Ridgewood to Rochelle Park, and extends out to Glen Rock. The park is located along the Saddle River and consists of five sections, all of which are connected by a paved path that is open to both pedestrians and bicyclists.Walkers should be keenly aware of cyclists, too often I’ve witnessed bikers wizzing by at inappropriate speeds. For those whom like to meander it can be dangerous. Otherwise it’s a great place to walk for fitness or leisure. Nice picnic area’s and playgrounds at several of the sections.
If you love cycling and rivers, Saddle River is the place for you. There are 2 bike trails and most of the time you are see ducks and geese in the river while riding. Also they have playgrounds at different location along the trails.
Great spot for a long (or shorterwalk with a couple playgrounds and baseball diamonds around. Might be windier because its around the water, but the trees can block that out nicely. Clean and plenty of benches along the way! A good amount of bicyclists, dogs, and families. Lots of PokeStops and Gyms for the PokemonGo players, too.
Lovely stretch of parkway with wide, smooth paths, lots of shade between park areas, and lots of parking areas to jump on from. The park is equally good for biking or walking/running, or finding a spot by the river to relax for a while.
This is a great park with a total of 15 miles of paved paths.....there are also some dirtpaths in different areas.....this is a big park, ranging from Rochelle Pk., Fairlawn, Paramus, Glenrock and Ridgewood.....bring your bike if you want to see it all. Also each sections has great playgrounds for kids.....plenty of areas for picnics and lots of benches along the path if you need to rest.
Excellent park for biking, walking, picnicking, walking the dog or walking your dogs. A purely greenway with fresh air and peace and quiet.
Very nice park , with lots of seats on the walk path. Its Paved, there is lake .beautiful scenery.Ample parking. Highly recommend
I go there every weekend in the Sundays. Very nice park, it is good for walking or biking. What thing I do knot like it in this park some people do not clean after there dog, also at the weekend the restrooms dirty but overall, it is good park in this area.
My favorite park in Bergen County. You can run, walk, jog, ride bikes, roller blade, fish, play tennis, soccer, baseball, or relax on a bench and enjoy nature. They have playgrounds for kids, bike trail, pond with fountain, river with fish and turtles.
Not to clean ..not to bad.but north Bergen 90st park is much much much better... Oviosly beacouse is Spanish area they take care more green areas...
I sincerely love this park. Its very big, doesnt get too crowded, and has some great fishing spots! Its definitely a great place to go for fishing, or walking/jogging. Or just to sit and enjoy nature. I would highly recommend it!
Me and my son love this place, it has two good playgrounds nearby and wonderful pond. Also the is a great long path running through all the park alongside the Saddle River. You can walk or ride to the old water mill to checkout how people used to work earlier. This is a very good place for family evening.
