Sabich - Sandwich shop in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
Sandwich may be a humble thing, but they managed to make it dance in my mouth! That caramelised eggplant is soooo good! With the combination of eggs, potato, and fresh herbs…..I don’t know, I am not a vegetarian but it just works! Happy that I trusted the reviews and gave it a try. Very tasty.
Itll redefine what you think a good sandwich/snack should taste like!
Berlin called and wants its vegan kebab back.Sabich is for me a mix of flavors - here kebab without meat 😔 nothing more or less…I was shocked, I eat a lot better ones with not so good recommondations 🤷🏼♀️
Very tasty eggplants sandwich, a must do/see when visiting Tel Aviv
This is the best sabich in all of Israel. A mouthwatering experience that makes you want to come back.
The Sabich is the speciality of this place, carefully prepared and very tasty, but they have also ethnic home-cooked food, like couscous. No place to sit, order, wait, and take
Very interesting. Small and healthy and made with passion. I will visit it again.
Best sabich in Tel Aviv! Worth the wait in line 😊😉
Great food with a lot of flavors! We didnt know what sabich was, but it was delicious!
I was on my way to Stefans ice cream down the road and I was intrigued by the long line for the Sabich. I was not disappointed to join the end of line. the Sabich with everything (Labane, thini, hard boild egg and saladwas fantastic, freshly made, flavorful, and the egg plant was soft not oily (!I would definitely return for another one
Delicious sabich! I was so excited to see that gluten free was an option here. The gluten free pita is soft and fluffy. The eggplant is sweet and caramelized, the salads are crisp, the humus and tahina are creamy and the egg adds the protein punch. Such a great lunch!
Delicious. Can take a short while when its busy but worth the wait.
Very tasty! But a little bit unfriendly...
Food might be good but the cook was playing a game on his phone all the time while preparing the sabich. You cant call that fast food anymore...
A long line and a long wait! supposed to be fast food, but it took nearly 5 min per sandwich. Except some shamelessly queue jumping locals, it was fun watching the guy making each sandwich. It was worth the wait. Super delicious!
We came by in the evening when there wasnt a queue, but it smelled very nice, so we decided to stop even though we didnt know what Sabich is. 😅Best choice of the night, as the pita was bursting full of flavours. Servers were also fun and singing while making our food. Best eggplant and egg sandwich combo you will find!
Great food, you may wish to bring some time, though!
So good!!
So, there was a line of people and I think: this must probably be good. Meanwhile googling what Sabich is, and then... 💥 My first Sabich. Love. It. I cannot compare yet, but stay tuned, more sabichs will follow. Nice guys, friendly atmosphere, super yummy food 😋
Very tasty sabich, the chef is really passionate about the flavours. I loved the attention to detail and meticulous arrangement of ingredients! Definitely going back again.
We were recommended this place as the best in Tel Aviv- and boy, were we not disappointed! Absolutely delicious and good value too.
Good price, fresh food 👌
So tasty! A must try
Best sabich I ever had! I give them 5 stars for the taste, but I think 25 nis is quite expensive for sabich. It does fill you up, though! Its a great treat once in a while!
Thank you Sabich Tchernichovsky. Thank you for making such incredible sabich every time. You are simply the best. Your craftsmanship is exceptional - the taste, balance, texture and construction of the sabich is PERFECT. What always amazes me is the level of care you put into making each sabich. Consistent perfection. Made with love and dedication. Your sabich is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life (not exaggerating). Thank you very much.
What can I say? This guy is the MASTER. His love to his art shows every day. This is my first and last stop when I arrive to Israel. Best 25 shekels you can ever spend. Closest thing to the word LOVE you will find. Yes, I have been to Oved many times as well but this guy is out of this world good. If I could give an extra star for exeptional I would. Eggs, perfect. The eggplant pure joy. The cheese -insane. The salads are so fresh. The layering - omg. If I had to try really hard to find issues it is the lineup but it is worth every second of your waiting time. My advice - always wait for the owner to make it for you if you want a real work of art. My daughter is coming next month ti Israel and it will be her first stop. Thank you so much for job well done.
Nice Sabich, also a good spot as there is Shawarma and Falafel next door, so you wont leave hungry. Also gluten free pita/Sabich option, although I didnt try it myself.Definitely recommend!
Fresh ingredients, delicious, healthy and light!!
I was walking toward the market and saw a queue at this shop. Didnt know what it offers, but decided to give it a blind try. The sabich sandwich is delicious. Im surprised that I havent seen it being sold in other cities. Highly recommended.
It’s got good reviews and for a reason! Very reasonably priced (23NISfor a loaded sabich. They literally put everything in then put in the eggplant and load more salads and dips on top. Can’t stop going here! Amazing
Absolute Best Sabich in Tel Aviv!! They carefully assemble it like a work of art! If you’re in Tel Aviv this is a once in a lifetime place to eat.Very reasonable prices. They even offer a sabich in a gluten free pita if you desire.
It’s must have to try in Tel Aviv. It’s so delicious 😋 Great taste of fresh vegetables ❤️ nice and smooth pita 🥙
Happy and tasteful times! You get here one of the best Sabich in the country and its so lovely put together. It was fantastic.
Regular Sabich for only 23 NIL. Amazing. The photo is not filtered so these are the real colors. I really loved this typical Israel sandwich that is all vegetarian, no meet inside. When you bite it, it just explodes in your mouth, a perfect mix of tastes. You need to try it. Be prepared, there will be a little queue if you go during lunch time and this was on Sunday!
Very tasty Sabich in the heart of Tel Aviv. the owner been not so welcoming and with attitude that I personally didn’t like but I must say again his Sabich is delicious !
This sabich is worth the queue. The (painfullyslow service comes due to the great attention to details, which gives you the best sabich in town - hands down! Do dare and try the addition of cheese, which works magic with the eggplant. Be patient and enjoy.
Absolutely delicious Sandwich. One of the best I have ever tried! You need to try it when visiting Tel Aviv.
The go to place if you want to eat a proper sabich. Loved by locals and tourists too, the owner takes incredible pride in making this piece of art of a sandwich.
Best thing Ive eaten in Tel Aviv! This shop has an amazing sabich for 23 shekels. The flavours explode in your mouth with each layer of the sabich. Its worth a trip
The most delicious, photogenic sabich sandwich you will ever eat in your entire life. Absolutely no doubt about it. Words cannot describe how incredible this sandwich is. Just come and have it. You won’t regret it for a single second. Though you almost definitely will be back for a second.
One of the best things I ever ate! Thinly fried eggplant with egg, tahini, the works. Soooo good.
One of the best (out of two actuallyin Tel Aviv. Ask for the cheese one if you like feta cheese. Cheap and delicious. Lunch can get pretty busy so I would recommend an early lunch or a late one.
Life will never be the same again :one an only perfect eggplant sandwich with tahini and freshest veggies will make you forget about everything else in the world!
Like the Eiffel tower in Paris for sightseeing, each city has a couple of "must eats" that you cant miss, and this is one of them. Allegedly "the best sabich in Israel", this sandwich impressed, not by its intense flavours, but by the subtlety of each ingredient. The passion of the guys who put this sandwich together is noteworthy as it seems like they are carefully placing each ingredient with care and precision. The whole sandwich has a clean flavour. The eggplant is fried, but has none of that rancid, burned oil flavour that you can find in other places. Considering how many different things go into this sabich, its biggest feat is the balance they have achieved. No flavour takes over, nothing is forgotten. The sandwich gets four stars. While there is nothing to really complain about, the flavours tend to be quite heavy and I am lacking something refreshing in there to bring it to absolute perfection.Big shout out to the guys working here who were great to me and all other customers both times that I visited.
A hearty and delicious , full of veggies and sauces pita sandwich. I had this place on my to eat - list for Tel Aviv after watching Mark Wiens vlog on youtube and it was well worth it!
Delicious food from a home in the wall. The people who work there are a bit surly and fun (aka typical Israelis). The namesake sabich is rich, delicious, and greater than the sum of its parts. Definitely go here for a nice on the go lunch. Be prepared to wait in line.
Its every time the first and the last thing Im eating in Tel Aviv. The best Sabich ever!!!😍
We ate here based on a suggestion online and were not disappointed! This sandwich is definitely a unique experience with delicious fried eggplant and hard boiled eggs. Each bit was slightly different than the last which made it an even more interesting experience. The only downside was that the wait was a bit long (~20 minbut thats because each one was made delicately by hand.
Amazing little hole in the wall with some of TLVs best sabich. I recommend getting the half which is actually quite big and filling. Its also a very aesthetically pleasing pita!
No menu in English. Just order the regular or with cheese. Pita filled with grilled eggplant and salad - its so good. The wait is definitely worth it!
