Food is fresh and fixed my craving for salmon but the wasabi was placed in a wrongly labelled container causing me to request for wasabi and told off that it is in the container labelled Ginger Tong.

Poor service with bo chup attitude. Can stand for 5 minutes at entrance browsing the menu while staff were completely inattentive. While other mothers with kids were immediately given their tables. Discrimination much?

Good food. Particularly love the mixed sashimi though slices too big to go in one mouth. The hard yakitori pieces could have been less cooked for better texture. Ramen broth is flavourful. Chawanmushi is a bit watery, isnt it? Staff attentive. Clean tables and inside. Good on the whole. Thank you.

Foods was good but service was a tad disappointing. It was so slow, I had to ask for utensils and when I asked for wasabi and soya sauce, it was served to me in a single dish! Thats a straight no-no for every Japanese restaurant.

First time here, service is prompt. We order from an iPad so it’s very efficient and doesn’t take long. Ordered the wagyu beef on hot platter and their well known rice rolls, as well as crab chawanmushi. Wagyu is not super spectacular but chawanmushi is pretty good.

Love to give this restaurant a better rating but the manager’s (Jasmineattitude needs to improve thru basic customer service training. It’s not my first encounter with her but on a multiple occasions.

This was a great atas restaurant to go at West Coast Plaza. Needless to say, we were repeat customers. The best time to go was off peak. There was always a long queue at peak hours. Food was great and value for money 💰 💰, at restaurant price. Our favourite was clam soup, Asari Miso Soup and Taiyaki Ice Cream. We also enjoyed the Chirashi Don, Salmon Don and Chicken Karaage. Big fresh juicy raw salmon, 🤤🤤🤤. It was hard to find such thick slices now.

The sushi was average. Choose the place over sukuraya because of shorter waiting time. Wasnt a good choice as food is average although priced slightly lower.

went there after phase 2 reopening and dine in.. The quality dropped quite a bit. Cod fish was not fresh honestly.. however i still like the pork belly bowl. which is still as nice. Hope the standard can go back to previously after some time.

Been walking past the place for over a year now. Finally went in last night - and came away most satisfied and satiated.Service, food quality and ambiance exceeded all expectations - probably best amongst restaurants in West Coast Mall.Family felt overall a better experience than Sakuraya just downstairs - with prices comparable.Cha-soba and Tempura quite good but prawns smallish. Garlic fried rice took a long time to come and was disappointing - oily and more peppered than garlic. Chicken meat in don well marinated. Ocha refills are ever flowing without need to ask. Will be back soon

Over priced for the food quality. Sake was not well kept - sour! Worst of all, they only had 3 sake glasses, and gave me beer glasses as substitute! I almost fainted hahaha

Service staff seemed very flustered even though the place was nearly empty during lunch hours. Sashimi was not fresh - the fish looked dull and didnt have any sheen to it. Nabe was disappointing and the soup tasted strange. Conveyor sushi looked like they were left there for hours. Sushi rice was overly sticky and mushy. Overall a really bad and extremely overpriced for the (lack ofquality experience and I will not be coming again.

I dont mince my words in my reviews.Went there for lunch and found the food not even worth the wet wipes w used to clean our hands. From the conveyor belt, the softshell crab urmakizushi was in a word, weird with chili in it and covered in pork(?floss r something. weird and unpalatable.had the charshiu don with onsen tomago: tough pork slices like its been reheated and an obvious taste of frozen porkService was slow , inattentive and staff would rather chat among themselves despite being a slow lunch period. In short: Disappointing.Dont eat here.

The food was decent, the place was not crowded even during weekday lunch time. The staff took wrong order of 2 items. They replaced one item with the correct one, but "insisted" on us taking the other item (which we initially wanted to order but didntbecause "the food is already here". No apology given.

Crowd builds up at peak hour and the interior is quite congested. Service time can suffer during this timing. Food is good, the usual Sushi Tei quality.

Ordered tempura udon, had to wait about 30mins with attempts to ask the extremely busy staff about it. Eventually asked the manager and got served the udon first while waiting for the tempura.... which turned out to be only 2 tiny prawns and 1 yam cake. Wow. Now Id rather support the Japanese restaurant downstairs at WC instead and not eat at any Sushi Tei if I can help it.

Fresh sashimi platter, warm bowl of charcoal noodle with pork, and sushi that is awesomely paired with mango and prawn, creating a sweet seafood treat to your tastebuds.Service is excellent, not as packed, and worth the repeated visit especially during lunch hour - look out for their lunch menu!

It is a good family restaurant, decent enough and reasonably priced. I would say middle Upper range. If anyone wants a grilled meat, they can have it, or ramen- soup with noodles for the children for easy feeding. They also have a very nice wakami salad which I like and of course, the sushi as the namesake. Sashimi is not the freshest nor with the most variety but it is still good as an add on to try. I like that its hours are flexible as in from early lunch till almost supper at 10pn so one can just walk in during those times for a casual meal. Also they have many outlets spread across the island for convenient Japanese foods. One bonus is they have a name for easy remembrance. Alot of Japanese outlets without knowing Japanese as a language, has hard to remember restaurant names, so sushi tei definitely is easy enough to remember.

Queue wasnt too long. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was good. Good portions on most dishes, but gyozas are very very small. They really are the half or a third of the size elsewhere. Price reasonable (except for gyozas). I will be going again.

As usual, Sushi Tei served good quality food and service was great. What impressed me most today was the packing of unfinished food to takeaway. The wait staff placed different types of food separately in different boxes instead of dumping everything together into one.

Food standards have dropped; sashimi and sushi not cut well, sometimes sloppy on presentation, portions are also smaller. But staff are sufficiently efficient.

This is the only Sushi Tei that I find service and quality a little lacking as compared to other outlets like Holland V or JEM. Got our orders wrong couple of times, despite using the tablet with instructions. Also food quality poorer like one time my kagoshima pork was drenched in oil. When asked to redo, it was exactly the same drenched in oil when I never had this issue w other outlets. Came cos convenient and close by but always worry abt food quality.

Good range of Japanese cuisine and sometimes they offer seasonal dishes to customer. Normally crowded at lunch. The food normally are well prepared. However only noticed in last years the serving has becoming smaller. Ambient at this outlet is very good and staff always so friendly.

The premium chirashi don is not bad, though the portion of sashimi can be more. The dessert (matcha ice cream + red bean + rice ballis quite nice. The staff service is pretty good. The ambience is also relaxing and spacious. The price is a little steep given the food portion.

Standard Japanese food. Similar to the other branch. Wouldnt say its value for money especially theres a fresh sashimi offering at level one of the same mall.

Been to this branch a few times before, when it was at its previous location, round the corner in the small mall. Have to say, despite the nice and new decor, convenient iPad ordering system, open kitchen concept, the dining experience has really declined. The food was alright, edible but nothing to scream about. The service was disappointing, as I was seated at a really tiny table that could not accommodate the dishes I ordered. It was such a tight fit that despite me requesting nicely to move to a larger empty table, no one wanted to assist me in that. The rationale being reserved or meant for 4 was thrown my way. I was quite insulted when a walk in party of 1 was shown to a 4 seat table, ordered ate and left being all comfortable and spread out while i was stuck playing Tetris with the plates.

Have been eating at this chain for 20 years. The quality of the sushi is better than other conveyor sushi restaurants. Their special sushi like the Dragon Roll is also very good. They also have Special Menus with interesting new dishes regularly.

Food came late and Manager was useless. We came for lunch as a party of 6. 4 of us got our orders within 15 mins. However the other 2 had their orders given to another table and even when we informed the staff they refused to give us the food. We had to wait over 40 mins before the order finally came. When we spoke to the Manager initially he did not apologise and merely said he would check on our order. Thereafter he avoided our table and sent over one of his staff to deal with our complaint.P.S. Manager eventually came over to apologise and gave us complimentary desserts.

Slightly high end Japanese food. Good quality most of the time. But too pricy except for special occasions. Their salmon mentai is good, so is their tempura squid.
