STORY HOUSE - Restaurant in K'ut'aisi, Georgia
Great place to visit with your friends, food was delicious 🥰 They have different interpretations of Georgian traditional dishes
The interior was cozy and nice. The staff were welcoming. However the food was just Ok, nothing special. The pork was tough (seemed like leftover foodand I only ate it because I was very hungry after a long ride.
Cozy place in Downtown Kutaisi. Two guys who were hosts/servers were great and spoke excellent English. Provided good recommendations. Food was delicious and well presented. I had lobiani, eggplant&walnut spread and ojakhuri with pork.
Amazing food and service. Definitely recommend trying Odjakhuri (potatoes and mushrooms). Also cappuccino was perfect.
Incredible place with friendly staff, delicious food and great wine. The best restaurant in Georgia I visited. Thank you for having beautiful evening! 💜
Amazing house special dish - beef fillet with tarragon cream sauce and a bottle of their own Saperavi wine. Best meal in Georgia so far!
Delicious breakfast!! My recommendations for the omelet and stirred yogurt (matsoni)
This place is homely and small.. you feel like in a special place!Calm music.. good wine from the owner Toni who is a somelier guiding you through the georgian wines. The food is perfect either.Felt like a perfect evening to us!We highly recommend this place! 😄
Palaty has a very quaint and unique atmosphere with many customer reviews stapled to the wall.Nationalities from all over the globe visit this establishment and you can see that in the amount of customers during the evening. The food is cooked very nicely, the waiters are attentive and the music is relaxed.A nice place to have a good bite and a wine/beer to pair with it.
Very pleasant place. Air conditioning. Love beverages (fresh, cappuccino, wineless good is the food. I appreciate nice communication with waiters.
Food tasted bland and was too oily. Adding taste with fat and salt is not good cooking! Portions are also small and dishes are all overpriced. Just a nice decoration and nice music does it make it a good restaurant.
the food was quite good, especially the walnut eggplant! the walnut chicken was also nice, but the chicken was a little bit dry.
Expectation was correct and positive, we enjoyed the interior, service and dishes. Chacha was a really tasty and pleasant, homemade berry lemonade also was very delicious. Imeruli khachapuri, Chvishtari, Pkhali plate, Cheese plate - everything was tasty. Staff is friendly and location is perfect, in the heart of Kutaisi.
The restaurant has beautiful decor and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Everything was absolutely delicious - we ordered a wide variety of dishes. The service was wonderful as well - friendly, prompt and efficient.
Lovely place and nice waiters. We liked the home made special dishes and the wines were excellent! One of the best restaurant during our stay in Georgia.
The mushroom soup was delicious, but the beans in a pot were average. Rose wine very good. Efficient service and staff. Premises felt cold because the door was open and it was rather cool outside. I told them, but they kept the door open. Probably the house policy, prioritizing attracting new customers over pleasing those already inside.A big plus for the prices, without surprises like "service surcharge" or "VAT not included". What you see is what you pay.
Cozy place with good quality food, nice relaxing vibe, good music, friendly staff. Had georgian salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and walnuts - really good one, balanced, not too acid as in many other places. Pepperoni pizza was on a thin tasty crust with good quality sausages - definitely good. Chicken in blackberry sauce is nice too - if you like this kind of food (I do).Worked half a day from here, and would definitely come back again as experience was really nice.
Best restaurant in kutaisiHighly recommend the Mexican potato and lemonade
Super good food! One of the best restaurants in town for sure. The food was fresh and delicious
Maybe a bad order on our part but we expected something a bit more inspiring from fried chicken with walnut sauce. The bread wasn’t the normal long flat and very good bread, but some rolls that appeared to have been defrosted. The music was the dreadful slow covers of good songs that makes you want to scream. Wasn’t busy but it still took a while to get the food. The positive - no service charge so we could actually leave a tip!
A really nice, small and cosy place in the center of Kutaisi, I would highly recommend to try. Both georgian and europian foods are available, and the atmosphere is A+. Try sitting next to the walls and look for artifacts from previous visitors from your country.
Superb ambience and great food. The decor is very cozy. When you enter the restaurant you will find a lot of notes pinned to the wall where travellers have written praises or thanks or other messages on a note or a currency. Toilet is available here.
This was our first restaurant in Georgia and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was good and friendly, the ambiance of the place is cozy and unique, with character. So far it is my favorite place in Kutaisi
The absolute perfect way to start our trip in Georgia! We had a picture perfect meal here -- from amazing & interesting chats about Georgian wine with the owner, to super flavorful pkhali & comforting, gooey khachapuri, to a really delicious pelamushi for dessert... Amazing! Would recommend with eyes closed! We really hope to revisit some day :)
Beautiful restaurant. The waiter was super friendly and kind. Pork was a little hard to eat but overall food was delicious.
Definitely the best place in Kutaisi. Delicious food and great atmosphere. The service is excellent!
We loved our meal here. Seriously delicious. The mushroom soup was salty and creamy, the chicken with walnut sauce was amazing and the house special beef was seriously so good. I’m going to be dreaming about that sauce. The owners also such a sweet person. Would come back if we could!
Super disappointed!!! My partner and I are vegan, after consulting with the waiter regarding our dietary requirements we order veg soup, bean stew and Mexican potatoes.... all 3 dishes where served after a 30 minute wait and separately from each other, I watched my partner eat the soup, then I received my strew (which was cold from the fridgethen the potatoes last! even though there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant.- veg soup was salty water broth with 3 cherry tomatoes and a couple of pieces of broccoli and oil floating on the top... served with 3 stale slices of bread- bean stew was ok, bland taste, but come cold and was returned to be heated as they forgot to warm it. The corn bread was inedible as it was rock hard.served with salted cabbage.- Mexican potato, everywhere else in Georgia this is sautéed potatoes with onion and peppers, here it is fried potato wedges with 1 gherkin sliced through it with a mayonnaise dip! (Not vegan friendly!)When we requested the bill they had charged us extra for a replacement bread for the hard, uneaten corn bread and 3.5 Gel for a tiny pot of ketchup! We queried this and they just didnt say answer they just reproduced the bill accepting no charge for the ketchup! They just try I think.... they took no responsibility for the fact they forgot to heat my dish and I had to wait again and eat separately from my partner! Not recommended, there was chaos in the kitchen we could here 3-4 people constantly talking in loud voices.By the time we left there was another 2 tables, one had their order taken twice then both times after 5-10 minutes where told it wasnt available and 1 where 1 person ate and the other person watched and waited for their food to arrive after 10 minutes.
Decor and feel was great, food was nice, only complain is the service was slow!
Cozy interior, DELICIOUS food and great service. Its a perfect place to start your delicious morning or to go with friends at the evening. Totally recommend ❤️
After a week of traveling around Georgia, this was by far the best place we have eaten at so far! The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients, and the prices were all very reasonable. If you are close by, you should definitely grab lunch or dinner here!
Beautiful interior, the cafe is divided into two parts - a nice cafe from the facade, a large space wrapped in white on the second floor ... It is very cheap, I especially liked the staff, we were invited to the brand "Chacha". Delicious food ...
We had a very good meal here, maybe a little more expensive than other places but we did enjoy the the food especially their house-special. That I would recommend beef fillet, tarragon sauce, cream3btraveler
First of all, the interior is amazing! Classy and cozy at the same time🍷 food is good, try home compote for drinks, and mexican potates, we also had meatballs with veggies 👌
One of the best restaurants in Kutaisi with excellent and attentive service. We were here at the beginning of autumn and it was still warm enough to sit outside. They have a beautiful and cozy outdoor table but indoor interiors are pretty too.We were given a really good wine recommendation, a Krakhuna. We love their Phkali and the pork with mashed potatoes. The dessert were amazing too
Cozy tasty and lovely restaurant in kutaisi which you can’t miss it. Recommended to go with reservations because we got place upstairs where I like the vibe of ground floor more but nevertheless. Few dishes were not available in menu so we were restricted to what they got. But we enjoyed our dinner and staff was very friendly and courteous and can speak English well. There is outside sitting for smoking also. Resturant is really chick and highly recommended when you are in kutaisi.
Palaty is a wonderful place. Delicious food and very welcoming service. We were lucky enough to eat there with an accompany of a live piano and violin session.
Very cozy cafe in Kutaisi with nice views and old cabaret style live music. Ice cream and Caesar salad recommended. Great wine and coffee as well.
Best place in Kutaisi. Great kitchen, friendly staff, nice interior. It is the only one place in Georgia I found that doesnt charge extra 10% and I didnt know about it. So guys Im so sorry I owe you for your service😀 You are amazing!
Food was okay, wine & tea were very tasty :the service is excellent, one of the best we had in Georgia for 2 weeks :)There was live music - piano & chello - it was beautifil but a bit too loud, we were not really able to talk when the ladies were playing. Overall nice atmosphere and a pleasant evening.
Best customer service in a restaurant weve experienced in 2 weeks in Georgia. The atmosphere is homely and "local", or so it feels especially during live music. The place has greetings and money from people all over the wall on the walls, so make sure you join the trend!Food is as good as Georgian food gets, but i didnt find it super tasty unfortunately. Their wine is splendid and jasmine tea is perfect!
Place 4.5Ambiance 4.5Food 4Service 4.5Food order to delivery 4.5Value for money 4.5This place is more than just a Resturant, it’s a beautiful memory which is a must visit in Kutaisi city.
One of the best restaurant in town. Flavourful dishes, kind and helpful service, nice interior. Bit more expensive compared to average prices but still reasonable based on the experience you get here.
The place has very nice atmosphere with pleasant live music and vintage design. Waiters speak okay English. The food was delicious, few wines from the menu were missing. But what we really didnt like is the waiting time! We had to wait for ten minutes and then go and ask ourselves for the menu after that we were waiting for almost two hours for our main dishes!
Amazing atmosphere! One of the best places we’ve visited in Georgia. Great service, tasty national food, and cozy interior. Thanks)
One of the must go restaurants in town. Undoubtedly kutaisi best Georgian avant-garde restaurant. You will not find typical Georgian dishes here but you will find amazing experiences within the same culture. The staff speaks English perfectly well and are more than used to foreigners. The place is decorated in a vintage style and full of papers from previous clients sticked in the walls.Word of advice, most likely you will only find tourists in this place.
Good location, cozy atmosphere, tasty food.I tried chakapuli and liked it very much, Chicken in bazhe sause was so good, no words 👌crispy chick and perfectly prepared sauce, was like my grandma did.Imeruli khachapuri was good too.Wine royal dadiani: negative - price,Positive - taste and especially "nose" was good. I cant say it was perfectly balanced wine but still good.I can hardly find the reason not to rate them 5 stars, but I rate it 4, just to inspire them to tend to perfection.
Nice old Georgian house atmosphere. Good calm music 🎶. Food was good, they have their versions of Georgian food. prices are normal. Service is nice, waiters speak English. Nice place for meetings.
This place is absolutely incredible! We got the house special, the grape leaves stuffed with meat, the bean/bacon khachapuri, and chocolate cake with ice cream. Best meal Ive had in Georgia! ❤️❤️❤️
We had a wonderful meal at Palaty. Both servers were wonderful: spoke both English and Russian, made great suggestions, had a friendly smile. The food we ordered included both traditional Georgian dishes and special items we have not tasted anywhere else in the country.
