SK Noodle in Reno

It use to be good. Now food is bland to say the least yet expensive. The service is alway bad, one guy is running trying to do it all, as the rest just slack around.

I’ve ordered the extra large rare steak phó with extra meat and the two times I’ve done it I’ve gotten shorted with a regular size and no extra meat. That’s $6-$7 extra they are taking from me and probably other customers. $21 for a regular phó? No thanks. I’ll stick to phó 999.

The blandest thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. We got the wonton soup and chicken pho and the broth is just water…. Absolutely terrible. Unbelievably bad.

Today my favorite Asian restaurant turned into my least favorite. Its extremely saddening that they have lost their want to do good business. I owned and operated a local restaurant in northern Nevada up until about a year ago. I now run an automotive repair shop here in sparks, I buy food for myself and rhe staff once a week from sk noodle however today we ordered dinner portions and received. 3 ounces of meat per container with no noodles and a mountain of lettuce to set it on. The more saddening part was that they charged me for hot sauce and spy sauce on the side. Ant to top it off wouldnt do anything to resolve the issue if I didnt run right back over. I am extremely busy and already go out of my way to get lunch from them. What they may not realize about business that I have known forever is that the only way to hurt a business is to simply not return. Thats what me, my staff and anyone who asks me for a good recommendation will do from now on.

Delicious noodle 🍜 soup . I ate the sea food one and was very good . I think the plates are huge. I am a big eater and I couldn’t finish it . The size definitely honors the prices . It is a bit high in price but is worth every penny .

Always friendly. C19 has them backed up with orders but they are keeping up. Walk in maybe a 10 minute wait for your carry out. Walnut shrimp or salt and pepper calamari is so good.

Great Asian dishes and friendly staff make this a favorite regular stop for me. The recently renovated and it looks great.

Broth tastes like dish water. Worst Vietnemese food in the Sparks Reno area. Avoid

The prices had been jacked up unreasonably high but the food quality is subpar in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants in town. We ordered pork chops with steam rice and the meat was badly burned. Highly not recommend.

Omg. So delicious! I ordered the tofu mix veg pho and the sk roll thru Doordash. Everything was securely packaged and still warm as if I was getting it served in the restaurant. The flavor was spot on. Definitely worth it and definitely eating here again!

To start off with, it was a slow day in the restaurant and my friends and I were a party of four. There was a specific waitress that was rude from the start, we come to found out later that the reason she was being rude was because we asked for more time; I understand how that can become annoying as times but there’s no reason why that should be used as a motive to be rude to paying customers. The waitress had long black hair and was slim with tan skin, the reason I’m writing a description is solemnly because when I called the restaurant to ask for the waitress’s name she refused to give it to me and said, “if you have a problem with me just tell me.” Not only did she say that over the phone but when I asked her about a menu item being charged twice when I asked to cancel the second item she simply told me, “well next time check the menu better”, the only reason why I was concerned with paying for the extra item was because the items weren’t cheap it was 18.50 for a small portion of one item. Not only was the waitress rude she also gave us the wrong change and when we waited for the change she said in a rude tone, “ what else can I help you guys with.” Another thing with the restaurant is the quality of the food, there were two pregnant women in our party of four and when they took a large bite of the “fried shrimp” that comes with the 18.50 family price it had raw batter inside and the shrimp was not fully cooked, when we ordered the walnut shrimp the batter wasn’t cooked fully once again and the sauce was mayonnaise. In our opinion this experience was horrible and we couldn’t get ANYTHING refunded even though we were overly charged, given raw food, practically only attended once throughout a 2 hour “dinner”, and given burned overpriced food. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE, you’d get more food at a better quality and cheaper price at Panda Express or any other fast food chain restaurant than this “authentic Vietnamese & Chinese food” restaurant.

I placed an order over their website tonight for delivery. I called the restaurant after I hadn’t received my food in an hour and a half. They said I needed to follow up with the delivery service and I would not receive a refund because they already made the food. I said I thought that was unreasonable since they obviously choose to use this third party because they’re on their website. They did not care and said it was it was. They could not even provide me with a number to call. I spent another 20 mins trying to figure out how to contact this delivery service who I found out eventually contracts through door dash.1. Normally it takes 15 mins for this restaurant to cook, however the estimated arrival time was 1 hr. I agreed to as I realize it takes time for someone to become available to pick up the order.2. I received my food 2 hrs after I first placed it.3. At an hour and 40 mins I called Door Dash who said there was nothing they could do until I received my order. So I’m hungry, sick and upset, and expected to sit on hold for another 20 mins to accomplish what should have been done on the first call.3. When I finally received the food it was cold.4. One of the soups I ordered were the wrong soup.I will not be frequenting this restaurant, or utilizing door dash in the future.

They said it’ll be ready by 15 mins so i got there 15 mins then made me wait for for another 20 mins after I checked inside the restaurant. Servers were not friendly and not communicating well. They actually the ones mad 😡 lol I’m pretty sure they forget to place my order!

The pho soup base was ok, noodles fine, but the flank steak was mostly fat, very hard to chew through, I didnt want to finish it and the tofu spring rolls were tasteless, no flavor in the tofu what so ever, usually when you go to a pho place and get the pork it is seasoned and that meat, I expected the tofu to be seasoned to match that quality. It wasnt awful but just not as good as I was expecting, especially with the price. Definitely overpriced for cheap meat and sub par pho.

Had the lemon grass tofu and vegetarian pho. Tofu is always on point. Strong lemon grass flavor and crispy all the time.I think Vegetarian pho must be seasoned with msg or something of the sort because I ordered it for take out and when I got home and opened up broth it was clear. There was no color in the water but the flavors were that of a vegetable broth.

Very delicious!!! I got their Rare Steak Pho to-go and when I got home the brother was still nice and hot. The flavor was on point, noddles had great texture and the meat thin and nice! One of my favorite places when it comes to Pho!

Don’t eat at this restaurant!Dry flavorless orange chicken. The chicken was so over cooked it was like eating dust. $14.00Walnut shrimp also tasteless with only 5 walnuts. $18.95!No flavor fried rice.Wonton with almost no filling nearly burnt. $10.00Fried shrimp because they were out of potstickers were sitting in a puddle of grease on slimy lettuce. No flavor. $10.00 because it was a substitution.NEVER AGAIN! Sadly their food used to be delicious.

Food is always a consistent and tasty lunch or quick dinner grab. I cant speak for the dine in experience, but the staff has always been friendly and respectful.Highly recommend the SK sandwich and the spring rolls!

I came in at 8:20 pm and I was told that they closed at 9. I proceeded to tell them the time and they insisted that when 9 came around I would have leave. If that’s the case, you don’t close at 9. She started to be rude and offensive when I explained to her what she was doing. I’ve never experienced that, if I walk in a minute before you close I’m still getting served. Very unprofessional.

Always hard time understanding me.The fried rice and mangolian beef not good. This time lady was rude because she couldnt understand me and hung up on me so unprofessional and shocked. I use to go here a lot.

In my experience their food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is friendly and helpfulI usually get Singapore mei fun noodles but everything I",ve tried has been good

Food is always good. Consistent and tasty. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. Price is reasonable, lunch for two under $20

I ordered shrimp fried, Mongolian beef and egg drop soup. It was tasteless. I been here before and it wasn’t this bad. I will never go there again. Customer service was good I have to stay. Food not so good at all.

I was very disappointed. The food was really pricey foe what you get. Flavor was not great. I ordered the house chow mein. Very little protein, very few vegetables, very few sprouts and the container was not even full, NOT WORTH THE $12.00 price tag. Then they only included one tiny packet of soy sauce and no cookie!! Finished it all and I was still hungry!!! I will not go back. Oh, it was about 6:00pm and the place was pretty empty, not what you would expect for dinner time!!

Outstanding, very tasty, excellent ingredients. I love Pho this one was fresh including pork, beef, meatballs and other proteins, the rice noodles were fantastic, together with lemon it was simply wonderful. Thank you SK Noodle for this great meal.

Good food and very worth the price for what you get. A lot of other reviews talk about a long wait but first off it’s covid and second we dined in for lunch and had our food in less then 15 minutes maybe even less than ten but we also saw people come in and order and get their food while we ate. Total was less than $30 for two bowls of a pho and two sides of fried rice. Very delicious. We got the wonton soup and the spicy beef pho. Excellent choices. We ate like half our food before taking photos.

Im a truck driver at the Petro in sparks. I must admit doordash is a little on the expensive side! However, I absolutely loved my food, delivery was a little slow but really good thank you so much I wish I could post a picture but I cant seem to figure that out.

The food is pretty good. The ambiance was a bit dreary but other than that its ok. My problem is not with the food however........Me and my mother walked in and waited to be served...we saw 4 other parties walk in after us. They were served drinks and had their orders taken before my.mother and I were even asked if we wanted a drink or a menu. We sat there silently for over 15 minuets to see if someone would even bring us a menu.....no luck. I felt disrespected so we leftTheir service is horrible. I am not going to explain why I think the server didnt acknowledge my mother and I. if you want thai food go to Sawasdee in the same plaza. They are much more friendly and respectful. The decorum is cleaner and authentic. But more importantly they acknowledge you as soon as you walk in.You can try take out I guess. But after my.last experience I will never walk into that establishment again

So I have never eaten the food from here, so I cannot offer any insight in that respect but I pick up food from here on a regular basis. If you are going to eat here or order out from here, it is very busy, all the time. You should expect to be 20 or 30 minutes past the time you were told to pick it up or you think its going to be picked up they are very slow but very nice too

Food was great. Enormous portions! (Which is great for truck drivers because we will be able to heat up leftovers later!Just dont order from here if you are in a hurry. It took quite a while to fix but hey, ya cant rush perfection right?!

So, Ive been to a number of Pho places in the reno/sparks area and this place BY FAR has the best spicy beef pho ever! Its my new food crush! The wait was short and the staff friendly. I will definitely be going back for more! Thanks SK Noodle for keeping it real! 100% the best!

Chronically understaffed. Ive come twice, the first time I had to leave after being asked to sit but no server came by for 20minutes (this was in March). Recently I decided to give it another shot while visiting the area again given the 4 star Yelp reviews but the few staff they have seem to be server, busboy and more all in one, with no one greeting newcomers asking them to sit down; definitely a local spot, and the wait remains a problem, given the time it takes from sitting down to having someone check in to ask if were ready or want any water.They have a large menu but were out of the banh mi sandwich (though this isnt a place to order one). A simpler menu would probably make things better. The pho and rice based dishes are all tasty.3 stars because the serving staff they have worked very hard and were courteous. Subtracted a star for the gaps in service time and because the plastic trays holding our utensils had dirt and dust at the bottom and on the inner sides; it wont make us sick but it decreases our desire to eat there. Lowered a second star because though the food wasnt bad, it wasnt special as most of the soups have a chicken broth base, and the food was overall average compared to the same items Ive ordered at other Vietnamese spots Ive visited in the Reno area; maybe I just ordered the wrong items but there were so many to choose from.

Its great to have excellent pho in Sparks. Great spring rolls too. My husband enjoyed his pho while I explored the menu and ordered the beef stew noodle soup. Delish! Lots of tender beef chunks and rice noodles in a rich fragrant broth.

Food was amazing. Maybe someone had just quit or they were crazy busy but I was NOT impressed with the service. I called in my order at 6:11pm and was told about 25-30 minute wait time. I got there and waited and waited and waited.... it took an hour to get my order which was just one soup.. The guy was rude and short with me. No one apologized for making several of us wait for so long and we were all quite irritated.All and all, I would probably go there again to see if it was just a bad night but it was not a good first impression.

Go for the Pho, avoid the chinese. I am so disappointed. Im not sure if they have a new chef or what, but today was horrible. We usually go here for the Pho and it has always been phenomenal, I love it and it loves me. However, today we finally decided to try the chinese food and it was absolutely awful. I got General Tso and my husband got chicken curry. It was the blandest chinese food I have ever eaten and it wasnt the least bit spicy despite being marked as such and having chilis in it. Both of us have been feeling horrible getting sick since eating it and I just want it to stop.

Darn good food. Really wanted a bahn mi and there arent many places in Sparks that make them. This one wasnt exactly traditional, but it was still very very good. The pork was absolutely wonderful, will def be back for another!

Loved it! I highly recommend it. The taste and quality is always constant. I have been there 4 times and each time everything we order is amazing. Friendly atmosphere can get busy but service still good.

Best Chinese food in town. Everything is made fresh when you order. I have been coming here for years and it’s ALWAYS good. The atmosphete isn’t anything special. The staff are nice. The food.... REALLY good and worth the cost. I moved to the other side of town and have tried a couple other different Chinese food places. I have decided this is the only place I’m getting Chinese food from.

The service here is excellent. The waitstaff is attentive but doesnt hover (they are too busy, a good sign)Normally I get the rare beef pho or a vermicelli dish. The vegetables are always fresh, and the meat is always tender.The decor is simple but the place itself is clean. They usually are quick to clean the tables, but again they seem to always be busy between dine in and take out orders so occasionally they dont get to it so quick.My favorite place for pho in sparks, definitely consistent and good.

We really like this food spot! We had the Beef Stew Noodle Soup and Wor Wonton Noodle Soup! Both were delicious!

I went in at 8:30 to pick up my food. Best pho, spring rolls, and peanut sauce I have ever tasted. The young lady that brought me my food and took my payment, was absolutely the sweetest most professional young woman I have ever met. I really hope her boss sees this. I hope that she serves me every time I go there. She made me feel very comfortable and treated me like a guest and not just a customer buying food. A guest big difference.

SK noodle has improved their food game since the ownership change. Theyre still mediocre, but its your best choice in Sparks for Vietnamese food. Personally, I would only go there out of convenience because there are way better options in Reno for less money. Mesiocre food that is over priced, but very convenient if you happen to not want to drive downtown.

Nice shopand nice staff. I has the chicken pho and it was good, good amount of chicken in it and a pretty good flavor. Lots of seating. Worth a try.
