SIP - Cafe in Beirut, Lebanon
Such a beautiful Café in Gemmayzeh. The outdoor seating is great for a breakfast or just to have a drink.
The coffee was ok, but the general vibe was pretty cool.
Decent coffee we enjoyed it here. Really friendly safe and good environment
A nice coffee with a relaxing ambiance, visited during the day twice, tasty drinks and good service, cool place to chill and enjoy a calm stay
Probably the most overrated 50sqm in "the heart of gemmayze".Nastiest coffee, worst service, & inedible food. Unbelievable. Clearly very culty & cliquey.
Great vibes and LGBTQI+ friendly place.Drinks could be improved, as well as the WiFi, but overall its good.
Nice coffee shop in the heart of Gemmayze, where you can work and just sit and enjoy some calm time. The place has a really nice interior design and the exterior wall is just wow. As for the food, it is affordable and delicious, also try their cakes.
Great place to have a break.
Nice coffee, good location. Staff can be more welcoming.
Such a great spot for breakfast and coffee. It’s absolutely beautiful - including the staff - and in a prime area. Staff are friendly and the food and coffee were both delicious. My only complaint is the amount of laptops: people tapping away and chatting away on their laptops doesn’t equal a very friendly space. Would still recommend 100% though!
Great coffee shop! The coffee was excellent and the service was perfect. They have whatever youre looking for in a coffee shop, except it was a bit crowded, which was not a problem, but is not what youre looking for when youre there do some work.On the other hand its a great place to have a one on one meeting, plus they have a nice little terrace where you can enjoy your coffee with some sunlight!
Great place to get some work done. The coffee was great, the seats were comfortable, and if you get the seats against the wall, you can charge your laptop and phone as you work. It has an outside part at the back and front if you want to smoke or if you have pets. It can get a little noisy in the afternoon and late afternoon though and you can hear the music from the place beside it (lostin the evening - great music but if you need a quiet place in the late afternoon or evening, then this might not be it.
Very nice looking place with great decor. Food is good too, but the coffee lacks the kick of flavor and caffeine I was looking for.Staff are friendly and service is good
I love the aesthetics and calm vibes of this place. Cappuccino is good, eventhough it depends who makes it I guess, because its not always the same. If only the service was better I would have given 5 stars. Baristas and guys in service always have a bad attitude. You enter the room and nobody says hi or smile, its really annoying. It takes ages for them to take order, it makes me wonder every time if its self service or not...Put a sign if yes !
Every time I come , it’s a happy place . Real people . Homey food and just a place where good spirits dwell
Phenomenal service from Raj and the team, I’ve been here twice and each time they are so kind and go out of there way to make you feel welcome.
First time I come here.Their coffee is delicious, choice of music great.Staff super friendly.Great place to chill work from.I pass by it at night, it’s usually pretty crowded - will definitely come again
IN LOVE WITH THIS COFFEE SHOP!Servers and baristas are extremely friendly and helpful especially Tonoy. The food is really tasty, so is the coffee. They also offer a decent amount of vegan options. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty desserts and good coffee!
If you are around Gemmayzeh, and want to have your morning or afternoon coffee, pass by Sip for a great blend and a warm welcoming. I like this place because its suitable for meet-ups, work, and everything in between. The staff are very nice and friendly. You can have a great cup of coffee with a slice of heaven through their desserts at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place. I havent tried their salads or food, but will do soon :)
I love sip! From the friendly staff to the great drinks. The interior is great, old Lebanese tiles, original walls of the traditional building, high ceiling with glass opening in the middle that lets in sun light. The way the espresso machine is placed is the way I love it, so the barista doesn’t give you his/her back!Great coffee, amazing carrot cake!!!I love the vibes at sip, I go work, have some good coffee enjoy the vibes!
Pretty Ambience, Cool People, and Lovely Staff! Regarding the Coffee drinks, the Iced Mocha was well-made however, I would have loved more flavors as Caramel Iced Mocha. Regarding the desserts, the Carrot Cake and the Brownies are also well-made and very light which I like!
Visited this coffee shop this morning for morning coffee. We ordered Cappuccino and Mocha with Chocolate buttons. We loved Mocha much more! The place is really nice and relaxing.
Great coffee, great WiFi, great service! It’s generally quite busy so get there earlier in the day if you can to grab a spot... they make a pretty decent breakfast (and so well priced!if you get there on an empty stomach, and I highly recommend every cake and brownie they have!
Great coffee very cosy place and friendly staff. I’ll make sure to come here again whenever I’m around
One of my all-time favorites in Beirut. The vibe is chill, the staff are pleasant, and the interior is lovely. I would recommend having the “halloumi bagel” for breakfast.
Great cafe in Beirut near the Sursuk Museum. Good service, coffee and food are great.
Really beautiful cafe with super kind staff. We had a fresh apple juice, homemade ginger ale, vegan brownie and a Mankoushe! All of which were yum and we were stoked to see a variety of vegan options. Great place to spend some time reading, doing some work or people watching.
Cool by any standards, this place is definitely for coffee lovers. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is populated by Beruits young and cool crowd. Lots of people sipping coffee and eating cakes while on their laptops. We had very well made flat whites made with coffee they roast themselves. Music is of the smooth jazz / chilled piano variety which helps the sleepy relaxed vibe. Overall look is retro-chic meets industrial. Cool place.
The coffee in Lebanon normally consists of expressions or Nescafé with powdered milk. But at Sip you can be sure to get the coffee you ask for! My first coffee in 3 weeks that is genuinely a really good coffee!!A must visit!
This is my new favorite coffee shop in Beirut.Located in Gemmayze on the main street, the vibes here are very laid back. The waiters are friendly and cool. The selections of coffee and tea are endless. They have have some salads and breakfast options and desserts too.Sit outside, it’s much more pleasant.
This coffee shop is an absolute gem. Amazing coffee and fantastic service. The staff are so friendly and kind! The interior is very nicely decorated and there is also a small covered courtyard out the back. Double thumbs up! Thanks to the SIP team for always being patient with my Arabic and helping me along the way!
We love Sip coffee. The staff is super friendly and always has a smile for you. The coffee is great and they also offer a changing menu of fresh juices/ smoothies. It also has a cute backyard. Great Wi-Fi connection for Lebanon, which made life admin on a computer easier. Thanks Sip team for many great mornings and afternoons! Also give the fresh ginger ale a try if you look for something refreshing to cool down from Beirut’s summer heat.
Unacceptable service. Staff are high over the clouds that cant even get one job done.We went there to buy two packs of roasted coffee, the pack is more than 20 dollars, the employee filled empty packs with the two origins that we chose and said this is Mexican and this Guatemalan. He didnt even bother to add the labels on the packs to differentiate them. When we complained he took two other origin labels and started sticking them on the packs. First of all, the details of the coffee is wrong and second the packs looked like they were prepared by a 2 year old.The rest of the staff couldnt bother to look into our problem to an extent that I had to raise my voice and make a scene. When I asked for the owner, everyone started to look the other way to not answer one simple question. I had to leave with two packs of coffee and I dont even know which one is which. It was stupid of me to have paid before I received my full complete order.A very memorable disappointing experience that costed me 45 dollars. And for what? I came to sip based on word of mouth knowing that I wont be disappointed. But what a shame. What a huge shame. As a coffee roaster, I do not recommend this place at all.
Amazing !!!!! Great vibes, great atmosphere, food, staff... everything Just great!!! I feel lucky that I eyed this place while walking by, its not very obvious. So, like, a hidden gem of Beirut. Has a sunny backyard and great coffees too!
A great spot for a coffee. Great coffee and vibe! You can also pick up some beans to take home 👍🏻
A serious coffee experience with wonderful bites on the side... The place is sunny and has also a nice outdoor corner to sip your favourite drink.
Very nice coffee and friendly employees. I’ve tried their Cortado and carrot cake and both were soo good.
Phenomenal Espresso Martini folks! Lovely ambiance. If you wanna chill out in crazy Beirut, the patio out back is a great place to be ;))
This place has a good space for meet-ups and and for working or studying, it is calm and well lit. However, the service is bad, the staff are polite but unprofessional, my coffee was served burnt, the seating inside is uncomfortable and lacks privacy. My first experience was unexpectedly bad compared to this place’s reputation.
here you can breath a very nice and cordial atmosphere, all the attendants look know each other, go there a take a break from the caos of the city sitting in the very beautiful terrace or stay inside and enjoy the cool very cosy decadente style.
Hidden gem in gemayzeh area. Very nice coffee place to enjoy a calm Sunday morning , with a book in hand, relaxing on the couches, in their small backyard . I tried the banana cake and the brownie with dates, they were very delicious .I will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu. Apparently they have delicious sandwiches as well .
Hip coffee shops seem to be a dime a dozen in Beirut, but this one was our favorite! The staff were nice, the coffee was good, and the decor in the place was to die for! Lovely patio area outside too, away from the hustle bustle of wonderful Beirut!
Just wow... great decoration, friendly staff and coffee to die for SIP IT UP!!!
Actually ive expected more coziness while reading the reviews, but i think my visit time was not proper enough since It was VERY crowded, and the music was noisy and loud, so i preferred outdoor seating but also the lighting was faint. Even though, i loved their banana cake & cappuccino although i found it expensive
Beautiful design, calm place with nice and friendly staff working there. You can find indoor and outdoor seats. Very comfortable and relaxing place. The cappuccino was great and the carrot cake was even better!Recommended place for meetings, to catch up with a friend over coffee, or to work alone.
Very nice place with a big selection of coffees and one of the very few places that offers a matcha latte in Beirut. The quality is inconsistent though. Sometimes the drinks are well prepared from the first time, some other times, the drinks are done in a very random way. Still, when giving the feedback to the waiters, they were nice enough to ask the barista to do it again and serve me another drink on the house. They took the feedback and blamed it on the fact that the place is still new. Hope they can adjust better for the future and raise their quality standards in the drinks they prepare.
A small shop towards the end of Gemmayze, sunshiny energy blooming from inside, with ultimate care and hospitality. Prepare yourself to be amazed! An old shop turned into a warm cafe, rough interiors, smoothed by hues of different shades of blue and a velvet touch. The open bar is where you can watch all preparations done, an outside terrace and adjacent tables. Maya and Omar passing around with warm smiles to ensure that everyone is satisfied. A must try their Chai and Matcha lattes sweetened by luscious dessert from @dbbakescakes. You can also enjoy a small slection of bagels and salads with fresh produce.
Beautiful coffee shop with excellent coffee (and food)! Great way to start your morning.
Fantastic Gem of a coffee shop in the heart of Gemmayzeh. Exotic premium coffees for the coffee connoisseur.
