This is a great pizza restaurant. Whether its delivered, picked up, or lunch buffet, every time I get a meal from here its delicious. I have found the crust a little too done for Mt tastes and they always replace it without an issue. Things happen and Noone is perfect so I dont feel like these incidents are a reflection on the business or employees. Prices have gone up, unfortunately that is just inflation and I would expect that as it costs more to produce everything they would need to charge more to stay in business, no complaints about higher prices, its not a reflection on the business. The times that I have gone in to eat or place an order I was impressed with how well they kept things clean, that alone is enough for 5 stars.

I go here everytime im in salinas . The cheese,pepperoni,bacon is excellent . Love the bread great prices

We usually go here a lot, but today when we ordered a large pizza half cheese half pepperoni it was outrageous. When I got home the pizza was extremely burnt like literally black and hard. My son had picked it up as I waited in the car because he was so excited to eat it. So when we got home and it was burnt I called and ask why would you give us a burnt pizza like that? The rude lady at the cashier said I showed it to your son. I then told her why in the world would you even give this to anyone it’s so burnt I don’t think anyone can bite this. Well, when we went back to get a new pizza my son said that the cashier girl that had long sky blue nails gave him a bad stare, like if he did something wrong. I did not appreciate how they treated my son nor how they gave us this disgusting pizza and I had to drive back and waste gas to get a new one and they did not even apologize. Very disappointed.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza for my 12 year Godson and he really enjoyed it. He at five slices and would have eaten more if I allowed him :0)

We had a get together of about 40 people for my sons birthday and everything was great. Service, food, and all the staff were awesome to deal with. I love seeing local businesses thrive. Thank you! Pizza here is great, they’re all meat Chicago is a must.

Surprised by the buffet. Great price for the buffet ($12). Comes with chicken, salad bar and drink. You do get what you pay for. I recommend you get the pizza while it’s fresh.

I tried placing an order on line and for some reason it wasnt letting me saying it was closed. I decided to end up calling and I was in hold for over 20 minutes and just decided to hang up and go in person to order my pizza. Me thinking maybe I was on hold for so long because they were super busy, to my surprise they werent busy at all. The girl that took our order seemed like she was over it and rude to us while we placed our order.

We took our special needs 13 year old son here on Superbowl Sunday and sent him in to learn some independent skills with ordering food. His dad stayed back to observe how well he would do on his own. One of the two ladies in there was SO mean to him. Hes obviously different and has a disability but she didnt care and talked down to him disrespectfully and with a terrible attitude. The other lady was fine. We come here frequently but to see her treating a special needs child like that when she thought nobody was watching is really outrageous.

EDIT 12/28/2021unfortunately we have stopped ordering from here after over 11 months of being a faithful customer mainly because management is poor. I’ve ordered here more than 10 times just in the last year and spend well over $600 here now they no longer offer delivery to my side of town, north salinas from the hartnell/south side where they are located. This was unfortunately the last straw for us with this place. The 1st red flag was when they delivered our pizza 40 mins late because their delivery driver had gone to spreakles, not salinas. Driver called me and gave me an attitude. 2nd straw was when we ordered multiple pizzas and one was missing one, when I called they said I was not charged and I looked at my card statement I was charged the 24.90 something for the missing pizza. This is the 3rd and final straw because they either staff, management idk who picks and chooses when they do delivery and do not. This place has great pizza but they are not reliable or responsible. And do not email them, they do not respond. I still haven’t got a response for the pizza party I inquired about a week ago.The BEST pizza in Salinas, I wish I would have tried this place sooner! I will probably be ordering from here from now on

This used to be a great place to eat. Calm and relaxed neighborhood environment. That part is still there. Unfortunately, the price and quality of the pizza has decreased substantially since COVID. I understand supply chain and other factors put pressure in the small business owners like this establishment, but when the quality of your product starts to suffer and the price is +30% more than others similar business, you need to revaluate what you can cut for the sake of cost. Hopefully the pizza quality rebounds

My friends and I get together every 3 to 4 months and we go there because they have really good pizza 🍕.

THE PIZZA IS DELICIOUS! I luv the pizza, Its my favorite! They have a lot of toppings to choose from more then other pizza places in town. As far as I know... Im talking all the main pizza places. I could be wrong but for me they have everything I like. I discovered not that long ago bc we were tired of the same old boring pizza places, so, desperate for a new place we tried Ryils and Papas and IM SO GLAD WE DID! The pizza IS DE-LICIOUS! The only time Ive ever Been disappointed is when theyre Closed! Grrrrr... Rylis and Papas is my #1 go to FAVORITE pizza in all of Salinas! Yumm!

Only place wife likes the pizza, I drive 6 hours for this place. Gets busy with families and sports people but they come through with their product. Thanks

In my personal opinion I think this is one of the best Pizza spots in Salinas. I like the pizza because is not soggy, I hate soggy pizza. Pizza has a nice texture. They use very good quality ingredients not cheap ingredients. Staff is nice. Try it!

They are so unprofessional! I tried getting a pizza delivered. I put in my order at 6:30 pm. Online it said they were open until 9pm. I received an email at 7:30pm from Slice stating the restaurant never confirmed the order so it was cancelled. We tried calling the restaurant at 7:30 (30 min til closing!!!). First call, they answer and I say “hello?” They hung up. We called back two more times and they declined our call. I guess on google it says they’re open until 8 but on their website it says they’re open until 9. I would’ve completely understood if it was too late for us to place an order but it would’ve been nice to hear from someone at the restaurant to tell us if we can order or not. Probably won’t be coming back because that’s extremely unprofessional in my eyes.

This place has great pizza and service! You can almost always get a table.

Potato wedges were great. Pizza not so good. Crust was like frozen pizza. Very nice place to watch the big game

This was our first time eating at Ryans & Papas. Omg this pizza 🍕 is really delicious. Really fresh. I definitely would recommend this place. I definitely will be eating there again!!

They have very good pizza along with the best pizza buffet. The owner is very friendly and socializes with the customers. Workers are very friendly and helpful. One if my favorite spots to go

Lunch Buffet is the best value, but the quality alone makes this place great. Pepperoni pizza and their hot link pizza are the best. Would recommend for a gathering with family or friends and a quick lunch. Cheese bread is the best too

Outstanding customer service. Ordered at the counter, took 15 minutes for the pizzas to be ready to go and had a beer while I waited. Fantastic experience and great atmosphere.

Good food served by good neighbors. Pizza and appetizers on the Wednesday night buffet were delicious, and they include the full range of their combinations. Fresh and well-kept salad bar with almost everything you could ask for. But Im serious about the good neighbor part as well. Generous fundraising program. Our PTO was benefiting from it tonight, but it is available for other organizations also. Oh, and sports television on around the dining room, without being too loud for conversation. Parking seemed reasonably available as did the machines at Golds Gym next door. (Seems like another good combination: carbohydrates and cardiovascular exercise...all in a one-stop shopping destination.)

this establishment is totally awesome the service is immaculate the quality of the food is absolutely amazing they do a great job here I would suggest anyone come here bring your kids bring her family and family atmosphere the owner is a great guy doing a great job and has a great business attention to detail and the food quality is just really its well worth coming here to eat also you cannot beat the price I absolutely love and my name is Tony

The pizza great. Great flavor and they got some nice deals. It is quite busy some of the times we visited, but overall I would recommend this place, for some great pizza. Kids loved the pepperoni and we enjoyed their mushroom pizza. My wife liked the sandwiches and I tried the pizza sandwich it was good.

Great pizza! Its the only pizza I can enjoy without suffering from heartburn. I love Rylis & Papas and their delivery service is great . The wait is never long. I highly recommend their pizza. 5 stars!

It was a very relaxing atmosphere .the higher level where we sat was quite comfortable, and there were plenty of screens showing me the sport of the day .We were there for about 2 hours comfortable. Employees were very nice .Cant wait to go back ,(good food too).

Pizza was really greasy, previously Mountain Mikes was better...although the kids ate it!!

We were stuck a a shipper. This was the only place to deliver. I am glad we ordered here tho. Food was fabulous and great quantity!! When we are back in Salinas we will order again from here. Owner was really nice guy!!

Formerly a Mtn Mikes... Eat in or take out... Great atmosphere and friendly sports eatery..Understand Im a NY sport teams enthusiast and catch NO bad mouthing from the locals..Food is good beers are cold sraff is freindly and accomodating.

This pizza joint in my opinion is not the best in town but makes a good pie. The crust is crispy and the ingredients are fresh what more could you ask for in a slice. The people who work there are pilot as well and seam to be good people. For me, the price is on the steep side but I will carry out here again.

Enjoyed a large birthday celebration without needing to reserve space beforehand and were attended to very well by the staff. The appetizers did take a little extra time, but the pizzas and overall service were great. Worthy of coming back here many more times.

The food is good but they have some more work to do to earn 5 stars. I didnt receive 1 of the things I ordered and even asked about and it was never brought to me (minus 1 star for bad customer service). This place used to e leased by a larger pizza chain and the previous franchise owners let it get run down and apparently this place was opened up without making any real upgrades which is a shame. I was hoping to see a revitalized and cleaner pizzeria. I will no doubt visit the place again but I would really hope the owner is planning on investing making this place better than it used to be. I love supporting local businesses but they also need to earn the business. I hope I can update this review to a higher rating in the future.

I love this place . The chicken and bacon pizza on white sauce is the best pizza I ever had hands down!! This place I super close to my house and has great service . The employees are very friendly and very polite. I highly recommend this place for a party or just to get a bite to eat

Ordered a Med. Veggie Pizza with cheese bread for delivery today and my order came in an hour and 10 minutes after ordering through the phone. Besides that, the pizza delivery guy dos not have any change for me but wanted to take down my debit card number and give him my signature so he can go to his store and charge me there. Really?? I said no, so he told me he will be back with some change and left the pizza with me... Good or bad service?? Idk they did take twice the time promised for delivery(bad), the kid didnt have change and wanted to take my debit card info with my signature(bad), but I have a pizza, which is burnt(BAD), but he will be knocking shortly on my door asking for the money(bad). Any thoughts...

DISHONEST MANAGER AND DRIVER coupled with Horrible customer service! This ethically challenged lot created a debacle out of something that could have been resolved with some humility or apology. Upon pizza delivery the flustered driver fumbled with money stating "I cant count right now." Driver took $10 on top of the five dollar tip he was given (which was discovered as he was driving off). I reported this to someone who said they were a manager and who acknowledged the driver took $10 but he could not resolve it. I got to speak with the owner who was very nice and apologetic but unfortunately, left it in the hands of "The real manager" who was incredibly rude, talked over me every time I spoke and refused to listen to anything I had to say, telling me he can "vouch for the driver." The manager insisted that the driver did not take $10. You should not be a manager if you cannot be objective and hear what your customers had to say. Its not about the $10! its about running and honest business and having decent customer service. Manager told me it doesnt matter what the owner says, hes the manager and he is in charge! Wow.

Ordered pizza and wings at 630. By 810, food had not arrived. Called restaurant, and female employee said they were closed. Checked order, said food had been delivered, and then suggested we call driver to fund out what happened. Issued us an off-handed and insincere apology.
