Rustenberg Wines - Winery in Noorder-Paarl, South Africa
Very good wine and setting. Gardens beautiful. Thank you Richard for your good service
Beautiful vineyards located on a large estate in a rural part of Stellenbosch...the drive through the estate is certainly stunning...we arrived around 3pm so it was close to closing and the guys were certainly in a rush to get things rapped up by 4pm...the wines are excellent... The views from the tasting area are great... The gardens especially are really beautiful although we didnt fully get to experience it with our late arrival but would like to go back at another stage to appreciate the tranquility of the place...there are no bestros or restaurants or shops... Its just wine tasting and buying...the other activity would be to stroll through the manor gardens which are the main attraction... I could imagine a deli located in these gardens with kids and adults picnicking on the lawns and strolling through the beautiful farm lands with fur babys...
We had the most amazing tasting experience - planned multiple stops along the wine route however, got stuck at Rustenberg. Clayton was such a lovely host, and gave us such a personal experience that we stayed for a prolonged period and bought so much more wine than we originally intended. Would highly recommend for tasting, especially on a chilly, rainy day.
The best place on earth!
Delicious, affordable wine tasting experience! On your way there it really feels like you’re escaping the busy town and driving into an old, preserved and calm country! Quiet, quaint and quite enjoyable! Worth checking out.
This is a gorgeous rustic farm where the wines are fabulous and the pace is slow. While booking is recommended, you can just pitch up. Prepare for a generous and un rushed tasting at a well appointed venue set next to a shady lawn surrounded by Cape Dutch farm buildings.
Unfortunately had a terrible experience this past weekend at Rustenberg wine estate (26 Feb 2022). We phoned early on Saturday morning to book a table for 4 adults and 2 kids outside to enjoy the day in the gardens. The booking was confirmed over the phone. Drove all the way out to the wine estate only to be told on arrival that they have booked a large table and unfortunately cannot accommodate us anymore unless we would like to sit on a small bench inside, next to the bathrooms. No apology, no attempt to phone us before arrival to inform us of the situation. Truly heartbreaking since we love going to Rustenberg but unfortunately it will be our last.
The place is very beautiful. And the people were so welcoming...The only issue is the accessibility for those who dont have car, since Uber is hard to get to fetch one thereThey are doing great!!
Great day out showing Lord Roberto and Doris Day the wonderful grounds of and Els & Co (fine Leather products). Wine was great and the ambiance fantastic.
Beautiful historic buildings, gardens and good wines. A must visit
We are regulars, but somehow our experience keeps improving. Richard was so attentive, knowledgeable and polite. I highly recommend Rustenberg. Ambience and great wine. Keep it up!
A hidden gem and beautiful wine farm, with amazing wines.
Friendly and professional.. Good wine and a beautiful tasting room
Excellent, friendly and lovely wines.
Really good wines 🍷 in a lovely outdoor seating area.
The gardens are delightful with many rare cottage garden plants.
A relaxing Monday with Thandi a true wine lover, she walked me through the wines with precise information which proved great knowledge of the wines. Sparkling clean environment spectacular views l couldn’t ask for more. Sadly l had to leave early because such goods wines and atmosphere should not be enjoyed alone. I will be back.
Beautiful garden and worthwhile to visit. Garden well maintained. Will really want to visit on open day.
Stunning venue, great wines, beautiful gardens and super friendly staff!
Very nice would recommend it to anyone, service was tops
What a relaxed stroll through the gardens and especially the labyrinth. Would love to do the wine tasting next time...
Beautiful and peaceful and Ray, our wine steward, made it a fantastic experience with his knowledge and passion for the wines and the estate.
Service was not the best for a wine tasting experience

One of the most beautiful wine farms in Stellenbosch boasting with wines that must be revered by the competitors. Hidden gem off the beaten tourist track and traps. Incredible wine tasting experience accompanied with friendly smiles and a beaming passion for what they do best...making world class wine. Highly recommended.
Great welcome. Competent wine service, magnificent wines, amazing views and beautifully maintained buildings and grounds.
Fantastic wines surrounded by beautiful buildings. A place to come to often. Served by Roland who was excellent with his knowledge and a pleasure to converse wih.
Great wines, definitely my favourite.A must try!
Wow, is not enough to explain this feeling of this place.
Wines were respectable but the pours for the tastings were by far the smallest I have ever experienced in Cape Town. Couple this with decidedly average and somewhat impersonal service and Im glad to be heading elsewhere for my next tasting.
We experienced good wine, good people, lovely gardens and still being a farm.
What a wonderful experience to dwell through the gardens and see all the buildings which my husbands grandfather built in the 1940s and where my mother-in-law grew up. Thank you for your hospitality.
The scenery is out of this world! Beautiful gardens.
We had a wonderful time at Rustenberg, tasted some fantastic wines and left with a few too. Dylan, one of the sommelier working there, was just wonderful. He really knew his stuff and made us feel so welcome.
One of the finest of the wine estates!! Beautiful - both the wines AND the gardens
Im refrrshed and enjoyed the visit. Very informative.
The Rustenberg (Peter Barlowis my absolute favorite wine. If anyone is looking to try a new Cabernet Sauvignon, I would highly recommend this brand of wine.Is there any way that the Peter Barlow is shipped to Canada? Any help would be most appreciated.
Beautiful gardens!!! Good wines. This place is a must visit
Lovely friendly place. Magnificent gardens you can stroll around. A great selection of wines to taste and buy.
Attended a wine tasting at Rustenberg. The person presenting the wines was informative and enthusiastic which made the tasting that bit more enjoyable than the average wine tasting. The buildings and grounds are very well maintained and it is possible to take a stroll around them after the wine tasting.
Excellent wine and view
Thought I had taken a wrong turn and ended up in Switzerland. Excellent wines, friendly people, wow! Wow!
We tried the Rustenberg Sauvignon Blanc:Chardonnay:Viognier (2013and it is delightful. Lovely crisp blend, not as dry as some South African wines can be. Its bound to become one of our favorite white wines.
Great wine and an amazing setting. Little known gem so never really huge crowds when you get here. Walk around the gardens a must
Rustenberg is beautiful and the wine is very good. I liked almost every wine on the list. The guy who helped us was very friendly and litterly could not stop smiling.
Absolutely stunning wine farm with a bit of history and friendly staff. Definitely worth having a taste here.
