Brilliant Georgian food in a rustic setting

Food was great, service excellent, very nicely furnished.

So glad a friend recommended this place. The food is outstanding. We had such a delicious dinner that we came back for lunch the last day, which was our last meal in Saint Petersburg. The staff was kind. Waitress recommended a perfect Georgian wine. Over the course of two meals we had mushroom soup (yum), Georgian salad, bread with the delicious cheese (addictive), chicken in a tomato sauce (divine), chicken in garlic cream sauce (tasty), lavash bread, stuffed mushrooms, veal, chicken kebab (delicious red sauce). Now we try to recreate the meals at home! Yes, it is true they added a 10% service charge, but I would have tipped them that much anyway. I don’t feel it is a rip off or a way to get at tourists and it doesn’t change my opinion of them. Thank you Rustivel for giving us great memories. We hope to visit you again one day!

Food is good but they overcharged tourists by giving different menu pricing.

Definitely this place is popular. The food is just great - the price is approximately 350-600 rubles. Fast service. A lot of Georgians authentic exquisite vines, not cheap - but its a good quality. 500 rubles for khachapury - big round flat bread with salty fatty Georgian feta cheese inside - sounds expensive, but you cant stop to eat it, its so delicious! I ordered Rustaveli Salad with eggplant and pomegranate seeds. The dish is unique, the taste is good.

Good service, great food, and cheap prices. But the last dish (veal with mushroom & cheesecame very late. You should try the traditional Georgian soup.

The food itself-no doubt- was excellent. Although calculating a higher final bill for foreigners is an unacceptable behaviour. Especially when you claim this issue and the stuff becomes extremely unfriendly. Its not common to charge service in Russia. And its weired, when "Service" is the only english written word on the bill. Tourist trap! They charge you as much as you would pay in central Europe (Switzerland ,...)

Pretty great georgian food in the city. Menu is very well explained, environment is also beautiful and the food is amazing. There are a lot of options including for vegetarian.

When we entered the place, we seemed to be not welcomed because a waitor said nothing to us even he stared at us. But a waitress was pretty kind to us until we left the place after our dinner. We had sea bass, lamb kebab, and other food. All of them were tasty. White wine was great and the illy coffee and ice cream were delicious. Most of all, the price of the food was reasonable. Id like to come and visit the place again....

I dont even know where to start.. food was bad, we left lot of food on the plate. The service was slow and we did not receive the desserts we ordered. We didnt get any exchange money even though we asked.

Great cozy restaurant, not too many tables. Staff is friendly and speaks english, if you have special meal requests they try to accommodate your dietary needs. Portions are good size but the most important that food is DELICIOUS! You are great, please keep it up ❤

Best restaurant we visited in Russia! Prices very reasonable and plenty of food. Friendly service and helped us decide what to order since it was our first time trying Georgian food. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Excellent food served by agreable and English speaking staff.The food is tasty and flavorful. We would have been full without a side dish.The juice was fresh as advertised.The menu is in English with pictures which is an excellent point.Bathrooms were clean as well.Overall a great place and I highly recommend it.Went there a 2nd time and it was great as well

Great service, amazing food (recommend the borscht, the egg/cheese bread, the dumplings, and any of the stews). Ate at several Georgian restaurants in St Pete but this was the best on our stay. Recommend Samir as your server.

Great food, great service. Even my vegetarian friemd was thoroughly impressed. The lamb lulya kebab and beetroot balls were incredible!

Very flavorful, highly recommended! I must admit that, growing up, my mother had ruined chicken liver and kidneys for me, but the chef at Rustaveli has restored faith!

As we saw the good ratings, we decided to visit Rustaveli for the first time. The stuff offered us a nice comfortable couch for two. But this was our only highlight of this experience. We waited for over 10 minutes, with no customer interaction at all. No one came or even noticed our approach to order. We left the place and wont come back.

A very nice Georgian restaraunt in the heart of St.Peterburg. We had a bottle of the most delicious Saperavi with dolma, hachapuri, homemade fresh salad & lamb chops, which were juicy & tender. Overall very good experience, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere

Excellent, attentive service. Server spoke English and advised me on how to eat each dish. I ordered way too much food for one person, but it was all DELICIOUS. If you have a buddy to share it with, have the house wine, khatchapuri, and khinkali...you wont regret it!

There are many Georgian cuisine restaurants, this one is nice, the place is beautiful, the service staff is good and attentive, the main problem is that the dishes are average but expensive, nothing unique or distinctly that stands out from other Georgian restaurants that offer more competitive prices.

Delicious. Beautiful mouthwatering photo menu making it easy to order as a foreigner. Service was kind and the design of the place is perfectly quaint. You can tell the owners have good taste in more than just food. If I move here, Ill be a regular.

Non tourist friendly restaurant. If you go there like a tourist you will see that tourist are not welcomed. When entering we asked if we can pay with card and then they say no...we said ok then we leave and then they say its ok. We ordered the food and after 35 min waiting we asked whats wrong and they say it will come in 5 minutes. In the meantime they served the table close to us that arrived 15 min later (but they were Russians of course). After this i asked the owner what was the problem and she responded really not politely that she will check. She told us it will arrive in 1 minute but without any apologies or anything...Finally after waiting 45 minutes our food arrived, it was ok but with this terrible service you dont want to go there anymore...
