Russell Tavern in Dalby

Been here a few times and it never seems to improve. Food is just that. Mass produced meals with very little flavour. Staff are friendly, but seem to be untrained or disorganised. The main issue is the intoxicated patrons from the sports bar or gaming lounge coming into the restaurant area.

Friendly staff and great food.

We ordered a chicken parmy complained that it wasn’t cooked got told it’s pink because of the salt in the battering… it’s pink and soft not cooked all the way through, not to mention that it took over an hour to get our food you think it would be cooked properly.. not worth the time or money.

Dinner tonight at Russell Tavern, What a treat, I had the Beef Cheek and it was one of the best meals on our trip so far, If you have the chance to spend time in Dalby I can highly recommend this venue, the staff were friendly and obliging, great wine list and amazing food.

The staff were great. Very accommodating. We had the rump steak. It was really good. The menu would do better, if it had a few good desserts on it.

Both my husband and I had the Pork Ribs for dinner. They were so delicious. One of the best pub meals we’ve ever had.

I chose the Grilled Salmon with Garlic Prawn Topper from the Chefs Menu and asked if I could have it medium rare..wow spot on!! Thank you Chef..perfect and thank you to the very helpful friendly staff.

Had the Salmon, perfectly cooked, and the garlic prawns were a perfect combo. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices for drinks … go there!!

Food ok but ordering system make it not worth a visit

Absolutely disgusting the whole venue is filthy the service was poor the ladies toilets are almost unusable we took 3 teenagers to dinner and was told they weren’t allowed in the bar area but the managers baby was allowed in there I don’t see the difference as the teenagers werent there to gamble neither was the baby discrimination much I would never recommend the Russell hotel to anyone also being a past hotelier I would be embarrassed to recommend this establishment to anyone someone needs to pick their game up for this hotel to get back to how it used to be I remember when it was a classy place to go out to but wow not a hope in hell would I take anyone back there

I had the southern fried chicken burger and my daughter had the kids pizza meal and both were very delicious meals!

The 300g rib eye fillit with the diane sauce was absolutely phenomenal .. i 100% recommend to everyone this is the place to come to get your steak cooked the way you like

Tried the weekly specials, bao buns entree and Thai Red Curry main. Food was exceptional. The ease of being able to order at the table was really nice as well. Definitely recommend

Nathan and his fantastic team always make us feel very welcome, the food is awsome ,very flavoursome and the size of the meals are very generous I would recommend them any day ,thanks for another fantastic experience

Every thing was great, from the service to the drinks. The steak sandwich pictured, was sensational and hit the spot...bang on with the flavour and tender too. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend a visit. Ambience was great with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.Round 2 for another winner of a meal. I was somewhat let down with my first sandwich on this visit, as I compared it to my first visit. When I approached the staff with my concerns, Nathan and his team quickly rectified it and the second tasty sandwich was before me and I devoured it. Once again, I was impressed with the service and the food was back to the standard set of my first visit. I recommend this Tavern and look forward to coming back again.

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered a Southern Fried Chicken Burger and got a horrible burger with two chicken strips that had no resemblance of being southern or chicken. If I could give 0 stars I would. Could barely get through eating a few bites. Paid $19 and while the manager on shift was kind, apologised, and genuinely seemed ashamed of the food they were serving, there was no offer of a refund or any compensation - was simply told thats what they get from head office.

Pretty average food. Steaks were tiny. Roast was underwhelming. Entree of spicy chicken wings looked nothing like the picture and were unappealing. Many items on menu were “sold out”. I’d skip this place and go back to the tavern…

Had a great dinner wit friends here.I recommend the Beef & Hook (Signature dishwhich for me was a nicely cooked piece of steak with Prawns and calamari in a creamy sauce, I had Mushroom sauce on the side.My dinner friends both had Chicken Parmy which they seemed to enjoy.We also had Garlic bread with Cheese which was excellent, and a plate of Falafels which were ok, maybe a bit dry.We were able to create a tab for the night which was great also, not having to pay every time you want a beer was good.Staff were friendly.

Food and service was top level. Only problem was the air-conditioning was broken and has been for awhile. We loved everything esle

Food was good ,we asked for menu they told us to order meal on table app,when i said i didnt wont to order on my phone he was insisting we did,i asked is there a menu plastic or paper that i would like to order from ather wise we will go elsewhere .we got paper menu ordered food,not everyone likes to use mobile

Met a friend for lunch there and I was impressed on how well run it is. Ordered and paid for food and drinks via scanning their QR code. So quick and easy with the food seeming to arrive just as fast. Most importantly, the food was great. There are a lot of Brisbane establsihments that could leaf out of the Russells book!

Good price at 15 dollars each. Mine was excellent and hot but my wife,s fish and chips was only warm - need to learn NOT to cook couples meal at the same time if different dishes as whiting will be cooked a lot quicker than crumbed steak.

Wow. Loved my meal here and the staff are so nice. We came in earlier in the day and had coffee and pecan pie. Looked at the menu and decided to come back for dinner. I had the Burrito bowl with salt and pepper squid. All I can say is ... you HAVE to try this. My husband had the Graziers slow cooked beef pie and was equally impressed. Love, love, love.

My husband, son and I had an amazing experience here and the meals were beautiful. They had our sons meal out in about 5 minutes after ordering it and and ours not long after. The staff were very attentive and were so lovely so our son

Rib fillet. Having been a chef, I can say the meal was spot on. steak and veg cooked perfectly. The deep fryer nice and clean for the chips. Mushroom sauce the taste and amount was great. 👍🏼 Sauce was on the side and not over the steak. which would hide it and keeps cooking it which can make your steak overdone. and that’s a pet hate of mine. so well done guys compliments to the kitchen.👌🏼 And clean, cool aircon with friendly staff! ✅

Our first trip to Dalby and where to have lunch than at the pub. Staff were super friendly and loved a chat. Meals were awesome and very generous sizes. More importantly, the beer was super cold. Highly recommended and will visit again for sure.

Friendly, helpful staff who are COVID aware and appear to be interested in meeting their customers needs. Easy access for wheelchairs although parking is on slightly sloping streets. There is a good variety of well-cooked meals, prompt service and cold drinks.

Cold beers and the steaks are the BEST! Ask them about the EarthQuake Post Rammers or call 1800 EARTHQUAKE

Quite a long wait for dinner - almost an hour but in their defence it was very busy and they took the time to bring out dinner for my young daughter to keep her happy while we waited which was great. Good food, good service and they serve up a nice cocktail if you are looking for a treat

So, The Russell has always been my lunch stop of choice when coming to Dalby. A little bit disappointed that the Lunch Rump is still not back on the menu as that is a favourite of my family. But I had the mango macadamia barramundi today and it was truly sensational!! The lady that helped me coming in, My phone doesn t do the scanning thing, the man who served me, the meal, everything was excellent!! Fish hot, chips hot and service was great!!! Well done Team!!! I will be back but please put lunch rump back on so will bring hubby!!!

Could not flow about this Tavern and the experience I had more! Attended a wedding here on the 19th of September and Karissa and her staff were fantastic with running the function. From looking after the bride and bridal party to helping bring the brides ideas to life! The food for the function was fantastic and bar staff were lovely! Thanks Karissa, I know Jody was exceptionally happy! We hope to come back for a future function of our own! - Sarah and Steve (Yeppoon)

Food and service were both exceptional! My friends and I are visiting Dalby for work and stopped by for a feed. We were delighted with how amazing the service was, and then the food came out took it to a whole new level!Definitely stop by if you’re ever in Dalby!

Absolutely delicious food !!We were travelling through Dalby and stopped for lunch today. We were greeted with a friendly smile from a beautiful lady and were welcomed in. The food was great. All 3 of us were really happy with our choices which were rib eye, lasagna & lamb shanks. The lovely man who delivered the food to our table was really friendly which made us happy.Thank you for the wonderful food and the great service.

Nice staff but the meals were under par. Bruchetta was excellent. Pizza for $22 was very underwhelming. Chicken parmigiana was OK but side gravy was no good.

Nice food, large servings, very professional and friendly staff.Called in for lunch when we were travelling through Dalby Came across the pub as it was just up the road from caravan on street parking area.We were certainly glad, as it was a really enjoyable lunch.

Nice place and setup. A smallish kids area but workable. The meals we got were all well done. Meal came out in pretty good time too. The kids meals are worth the money you pay for and a good range of dessert to choose from. Good variety on the menu and caterers for vegan too. All adults portions are worth the price and nice flavours and hot to table.Nice friendly staff you ask the question they answer them and helpful. They kept on top of table clearing and cleaning. Overall s nice place to eat.
