Russell House Hotel - in Nola, Central African Republic
Bad experience. Never expected the room is very outdated. Positive sides - close to tesco for groceries and pret manger for bfast.
Not worth the (admittedly cheapprice. Horrible overall.
Booked online 30 mins before arriving on Queens Jubilee. No-one answered the door; there is no reception...lots of phonecalls later and a walk around the area for 30 mins and we got in...The photographs were misleading - its a room with a bed, but thats it. Dont expect anything more than a place to sleep. That said...it was aavailable, bis next door to the tube station and cis in sensible walking distance to the city centre.
Its a motel and smokes of cannabis. Has not reception even!
Impossible to stay in the place. I dont think you can say is an hotel. It is a cave where you would not want back. I lost my money
Overpriced, rough, loud
Best location! Literally, next to the tube station, across the road of shopping center and grocery shops. The owners are genuinely nice people, who helped me with the luggage. The room was clean and had the heater, which was vrey important during quite cold November.
El personal del hotel es muy amable.___The hotel is very well located, very central. It has a supermarket and the subway next door. The rooms are small, but they have the essentials. They are also clean. The hotel staff is very kind.
Mr Doods was very friendly and made our stay comfortable. Small and clean rooms with tremendous access to tube and the city. 👍
Hotel basic and needs updating.Staff very good. Doods in particular was great. Helpful, well mannered and nothing was too much trouble-a real asset for the hotel.
Theres pros and cons to staying here.Pros:Really central location and literally next door to Russell square tube station. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops nearby too. Staff were friendly and helpful, sorted out issues I had quickly and kept the rooms very clean. Tea and coffee provided in room.Cons:Hotel itself is a bit dated, old bathroom, carpets etc. Really needs updating. Lots of stairs up to the room. Water in the shower generally only tepid. Hard to find staff as no reception area.
A basic, a bit run down place with clean rooms. A nice concierge expects you, the road area is not the best but central. On the day we booked it it was far too expensive, value is ~80-100 GBP max.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life
I dont know why but this place is called as Russell Square Hotel on my resevation but on google and on the building it is called as Russell House Hotel. The room and bathroom were very small. Bath was clean but needs refurbishment. Room was silent enough to have a good sleep. Reception desk is usually empty. It is not a 4 star hotel. It is cheap and okay if you will stay for a night.
lo pitjor del món! the worst hostel in my life!! lo peor de mundo!
Nice and cheap little place. Right next to the station but isnt noisy somehow. Very very nice beds (as you can see from the picture).Only downside is that the bathroom in the room has no toilet.
This place is probably the worst hotel I have ever checked into, not being in a third world country. And since it is never too late to fix a mistake we immediately checked out of our two rooms.London hotels can be bad, and I have had my fair share of so so places for still quite a lot of money. However this place beats them all, hands down. This “hotel” is so bad that no way it defends the room rate. You should get paid to stay at this dump hole.Floor is broken and tilted and moves like a rotten wooden floor, beds are written of, bedding is dirty with dirty linens, hairs on pillows etc etc. And maybe even more important: I fully support what a previous reviewer said - this is a death trap! All furniture is broken and you have the feeling you’ve entered the set of Netflix’ series “Stranger Things”, however all stuff is broken, worn and dirty (unlike the series). And check the attached picture of the toilet seat... I don’t know what sticky stuff has been dripping of that seat... but I won’t come near that...Nice detail: the heating was up so high that it was at least 40 - 45 Celsius in the room, no joke! Even when I opened the window fully (which you can’t because of the noise and the homeless peopleit was too hot in the room to search for an alternative hotel.Check in was done by the lady cleaning the rooms.I really hated the place. Would not stay here longer than 15 minutes so we checked out immediately and switched to a nice place 150m down the street.I think a good value for this place would be €45 - €80 a room per night. I’d skip it anyway.Check my other review for reference. Skip this one and put this place out of business. The world thanks you for your support!
Awful never book, couldnt get in at 9pm totally without anywhere to stay I London
Stayed here 22nd September 2018 booked with Thomas Cook. We arrived at 6.00 pm. The room wasnt ready, although check in was from 4.00 pm that day. Rooms that had been changed had the sheets piled on the stairs, along with black bags of rubbish and cleaning equipment. In the end, as the room couldnt be done for at least another half an hour, we made the bed ourselves. The room was also much, much smaller than advertised. Someone in the room next door started drying their hair at one in the morning. The location next to the tube was good but we would never come here again. It wasnt particularly cheap at £130 for a double. Stayed here 22nd September 2018 booked with Thomas Cook. We arrived at 6.00 pm. The room wasnt ready, although check in was from 4.00 pm that day. This hotel is a good demonstration how owners make money by renting rooms to tourists without any reinvestment/maintenance. In addition cleaning staff arrive late in the afternoon. In my room a wet towel was forgotten from previous guests. Rubbish was not removed partially. Furnitures are significantly damaged and outdated. There is no real reception nor breakfast available. The receptionist was friendly, a young lady - butI do not understand this level of ignorance with regards to customer`s satisfaction. There is also no elevator, rooms are narrow and the staircases steep. The only benefit is the location. I have not checked safety with regards to fire protection etc. But why this hotel has got 3 stars is a miracle. Maximally 1-2 stars.
A very odd hotel, very very dated, great location but needs a face-lift for the price
This hotel is a fire hazard. Fire doors were propped open. Electrical fittings were exposed. Fire escapes were non-existent. The floors were unstable. The shower was no more than a trickle. There was no office. Do not stay here.
Nice atmosphere!
Cats
conference rooms and lobby are pleasant
Probably the best place to stay, if you want a familiar warm place, with that wonderful touch of old London a few steps from everything!
Hotel molto ospitale è molto gentili
Good service!
The Russell House hotel is a very well located place, run by a very nice people. You always get a smile with every question answered. Its best feature is its location - next door to the Russell Square underground station, with a Pret A Manger just across the street. The interior, however, leaves much to be desired - rooms on the top floor mean climbing three sets of stairs, the rooms themselves are small, as such are the beds and the bathrooms. If you dont mind all that, then its a good deal. If youre looking for comfort, you might need to look a bit further away from the city center.
Comodissimo x la picadilliy line. Personale cordiale
Very nice hotel, especially the friendly owner Mr. Guedo and his children. My grandparents and my parents used to love staying thereI highly recommend it to anyone
Miss this b & b👍👍👍👍In 1999My family of 4, together with my eldest sister.Very family feel, especially we love the yummy breakfast, and love the home-like restaurant.Warm and sweet
